- Featuring in this video is my current Hoya Collection for Winter 2022. Over 100 species have been collected and counting. If you guys need more details about the plants mentioned, please feel free to write in the comments and I would be happy to answer to the best of my abilities. That being said, I am not an expert on Hoyas or any plants in my collection. I am purely a hobbyist and a collector who is very much infatuated with plants and the art around it.

Don’t cry, they will immediately start growing once treated. You’ll wish you treated sooner. So many 🚩 for flat mites.

I find that with that much light, you need to water more! It might encourage more growth. Or dim the lights a little bit so that they’re not so stressed and so that they put more energy in growing 😁
That might be a good idea. I am thinking of reducing the light source actually. ☺️

Hi 👋 I just found your channel and I’m so happy because I’m really excited to start my Hoya journey! I’m really excited to learn how to care for my own Hoya collection! I would love to learn from you about the soil mix, watering conditions and how to keep the Hoya compacta alive! It’s been a long time favorite of mine but each time I get one, it’s always gotten mealy bugs and ultimately dies, if you can give me some advice on how to love and care for them I would appreciate any tips you have!! I immediately went to check my compacta for mealies after reading this haha! I honestly just water my compacta when it starts to feel soft or wrinkly even and it just perks right up after a few hours of getting a drink. I have left mine in its coco chips substrate because I was scared to disturb it but I do have my variegated one in lechuza pon and both alive and well. The regular kind lives in regular room condition while the variegated lives in the cabinet. One thing they have in common is high light. I hope that helps, Thank you so much for the love 💚

I know this is hella old but I would treat the Clemensiorum spots as a rust fungus and just use a fungicide. I'm sure you've already dealt with it already or it's figured itself out by now though hahah 😂

My aff burtoniae had leaves curling right up until I started Sulfur treatment a few weeks ago. Could be what’s going on with your burtoniae 🤔

I actually got mine from FB marketplace. They were votive/candle holders which I think you can also get from Amazon or Dollar Tree 😄
How about the plastic inserts, where did you get it?
I just happened upon your channel, so new subscribers here, I am really getting into Hoya plants, I have about 10, but for 2023 I have decided that the only plants I will buy is Hoya. I have 300 house plants give or take and I want more Hoya, so the downsizing can always come to me sense we are such good friends and all 😜😊

The latifolia albomarginata has greener margins if it's grown in lower light conditions so yours just went back to 'default' under growlights. Same thing with new guinea ghost- it goes pink when sunstressed. If it came in with pink it has lower light conditions now. I don't have a bilobata so can't tell you, the purple leaves might be due to more light so maybe it'snot that happy with the light amount? My grey ghost is a stump as well, they seem to like to do that lol

@@plantandstylewithpeachy the only other thing I can think of is it doesn't like it's current watering pattern. Maybe you're a day or two late and it doesn't take kindly to that. I do hope it improves! My hoya North of Thailand is giving me roller coaster leaves too, they come in crazy, but I know I'm not on top of always watering it when it wants (I keep my plants either is a soil mix or in seramis).

I thrifted mine locally but I have seen them at Dollar Tree as well. They are candle votives.

Do you keep them all with a reservoir and how much water on the bottom do you use? My whole collection is in pon but I water like soil.
Hi Amy, yes I do have a reservoir on everyone. I fill it 1/3 up but I also let them dry out before I refill again.
@@plantandstylewithpeachy I found that many of my Hoyas didnt like pon with reservoir and would root rot. Watered like soil but it is so much work watering my whole collection 🥴. What do you use for systemic or pest prevention using pon? Do you use a liquid systemic? Thanks for answering questions! I love your collection by the way!

Hi what soil can i use for my hoya australis lisa?
Any regular indoor potting soil really just make sure to aerate it by adding amendments like coco chips, bark, perlite etc. For Hoya, I personally like pon though.

Woody stems are bad?
Not necessarily, they just require a bit more attention when trellising. If you wait too late to trellis, the stem will snap on you.
