Ultimate favorite song. Even got a tattoo of a ticket to the magic shop. My comfort place. I can always find one of their songs to get me thru it, whether I'm sad, angry, chill, happy, down on myself, etc. There is always a song in their discography that coincides with any emotion I'm feeling. Ya know?!
Loved your reaction 💜 Magic Shop is a song for ARMY written by our boy JK. He also participated in production. "When ARMY are tired, emotionally exhausted and having a rough time, they can draw a door within their hearts and come inside, and we're there" - Jungkook of BTS. You have to see the live performance of this song. It's so hair-rising moment when everytime Jungkook called out, "so show me"! to the crowd and they yelled back, "I'll show you"!.
You should check the live version, with a whole stadium answering "I'll show you" There is a book called "Into the Magic Shop" (with a longer subtitle I don't remember right now). It's a mix of an autobiography and a self-help book, to give it a description, about the encouragement the author got himself using a mindfulness technique which uses a metaphorical "magic shop" where you can take a bad thing or memory and "exchange it" with a happy one. What I got from it is that the idea is to relate the "bad" one to something that has more strength on your mind, overshadowing it Music, and in this case BTS' music, can be one of those "good things". In the same way, ARMY's love is that for them
This is the song that made me army! I took my sister to watch a concert recording in theaters, and when i saw the boys singing "so show me" and the whole stadium responding "i'll show you" it was a life changing moment for me. I had no choice at that point, the Magic Shop invited me in, and i couldn't refuse.
@@AmariLeone It wasn't the lyrics, more like the magic of the moment. It felt almost like a gospel choir. The fact that i was watching in a movie theater with the giant screen and surrounding sound might have helped a lot to create that feeling
I reacted to Crystal Snow on patreon which you can find here www.patreon.com/posts/bts-crystal-snow-71577146 I'll add the rest of these to my list though
This is one of their most beautiful and life saving songs. The idea they ask us to love ourselves as much as we love them and show them that “so show me.. I’ll show you” is the most common spontaneous call and response between BTS and Army. It’s truly deeply helped me.
@@AmariLeone Actually, the history of BTS/ Army is such that both keep comforting each other because of the hate. People accused us & them for exaggerating the hate , "everyone gets it". But the recent Suga episode and the one month+ of demonising by media and other fandoms opened the eyes of many to the reality. And now Armys have been comforting Suga from all over the world by posting banners, and displays in front of Hybe, and writing letters on weverse, and many other ways. We charted Yoongis albums and old/new songs. At one point Yoongi was occupying half the top 10 on a bb chart.
Eeeeeeeeek! Low key my fave Jin vocal in a whole group song! Also Jimin is a beast of the high note. I love how much you love this. And I love this song. it's like they're thanking us for supporting them, and reminding us that they love us just as much. *swoon*
AHHHHHHH i looooove, adore this song so much because it gives me so much comfort. That door line and the warm cup of tea line (the chorus) never fails to make me hopeful and optimistic, what with it being yelled into my ear so prettily 😭. And the production makes sure u feel what theyre saying. As u said, the delicate pastel pink and the hard hitting hot pink feels like they are delicately bringing our hopes up, and strengthening it to uplift you from the fragility of that hope, making the hope more solid. Also the final chorus makes me bawl, why are they like this.
I love this song so much. I love your BTS theory. 😁 Their live at their Magic Shop Muster was soooo good wish you could watch that. And yes they had an entire concert on this theory of the Magic Shop that they built and taking (on a train) those that are needing to go to the Magic Shop. It was beautiful the entire concert.
@@AmariLeone They really showed it alot of love as BTS and as ARMY. I think its one of ARMYs favorite songs. The company though felt it wouldn't get traction for the non ARMY so they didn't really give it an MV. But like I said there is an entire show a muster that means all the audience was ARMY that they produced as a trip into The Magic Shop. Jimin was the conductor. It was beautiful.
Love this song and all their live performances. Jimin's high notes and the emotions you can feel in his voice, was just magical. Love Suga's verse. Thank you, for making this video and uploading their videos on RUclips, always enjoy your reactions and comments. Can you try to do a reaction to their live performance for So What, the live stage ending was beautiful with pyrotechnics and fireworks, it was crazy! Check out, GoGo, live performance, from BangBangCon. Have you seen their Sowoozoo 2021 Muster? It had a different energy without a live audience during the pandemic, the boys did a digital concert which was so energetic and cool.
That Jhope/Suga verse is one of my favorites. This is a great example of what I like to call the Suga rebuttal verse. Look at BTS songs where Yoongi has the second verse, his section will always give the message of the from a different perspective. It's fascinating once you start to notice it.
Oooh "Suga Rebuttal Verse"! Love that he takes the concept & spins it a different way to broaden the general understanding of the song or show new perspectives
The Magic Shop became a symbol of "safe space within the fandom", but they also gave it its own lore through the years. In their 5th muster there's a whole series of videos in which JK goes to the Shop and it helps him find what he really needs in life. In one of their mobile games there's also a subplot in which each member finds the shop at the moments they need it most, and it grants them the wish that would save them from the distress of that moment. It's a mystical and mysterious place and i LOVE that it became so much more than the metaphor for comfort music it was initially.
This song encapsulates ARMY'S relationship with BTS, and the lyrics go above and beyond! Not just, our music will comfort you, but "You gave me the best of me, so you'll give you the best of you"--such a beautiful way to remind ARMY that the love and admiration they give BTS belongs to them as well. JK sang this at the end of his Golden solo album showcase, and it was shown at the end of his documentary, I AM STILL, which just came out. It was my favorite part of the movie--so comforting and familiar among all his new songs. 💜 🎶 💜
Yeah that's an incredible line for sure! Wow I hadn't seen I AM STILL or the full Golden Showcase. That really shows how much he loves and resonates with this song! Did he perform any of his other older cuts from OT7 albums?

I am absolutely sure that my favorite BTS songs are their B Sides cause bro what in the absolutely INFERNO do they be doing on these songs!?!? 🔥🦁
One of the best writing JK has in his portfolio. Also his production skills smashed here really hard. Cause he was the main producer, too.
SAME!!!
BTS definitely stands for B-Sides That Slaps 💜💜💜
