I’m not sure if it’s really that people enjoy it less but the biggest reason people love BTS so much is because of their lyrics and they are genuinely humble hardworking guys. Their lyrics are about self love, working hard, youth and female empowerement, mental health, cyber bullying and friendship. They have literally saved people with their music, I have seen so many story’s of people saying they helped them from commiting suicide or depression. Just wanted to shine a light on that! People can be sensitive when it comes to BTS because they have dealt with a lot of hate and racism and they are just 7 guys who make music and bring positivity into the world. Thanks for your reaction
Yes they are truly the reason i am still on this earth rn 100% along with Park Hyo Shin and Shinee as i did have really bad depression even now its still there but the music helps me see through that to what overall is truly important which is the ability to Fully Express and Love yourself. I also would say with watching videos and reading lyrics Alot of armies have developed the skill to do both simultaneously it just kind of happens eventually
This song is a life saver. When BTS talks with us, they give us words of encouragement and they also do this with many of their songs. Think of the Magic Shop is a place you can go and you can let your troubles melt away. A place where you can look up into the sky and dream. A place where you can kick off your shoes and not be judged by the world. A place to go meet your friends. A place where you are protected.
@@copyrighttt4550 no lmao they’re right, it is actually “armys” when you’re using it in this context. If you were talking about like army as in military then it would be “armies”, but since this is the fandom name it’s “armys” lmao
From what they've said about their songwriting process, usually they receive the demo track from their own in-house production team at their label or an outsider, unless a member comes prepared with a track. They typically have a story they already want to tell in an album, so they look for/create instrumentals based on the lyrics they want to write. Their instrumentals are VERY tied to the lyrics. They don't just put words to random instrumentals. Once they decide on tracks, the members then write individually. They've even said they can't really work on music together. Obviously they talk about it in between, but they don't literally sit down and just write together in one sitting. They usually prefer to share the finished product rather than the work-in-progress. For composing and lyrics, they've said how it's like a song writing camp where the members and the in-house team "compete" for whose melodies and lyrics are chosen, but it's all done respectfully and with everyone seen as equals. Everyone has to universally agree. Once the majority of the composing/lyrics are chosen with the near finished instrumental, they all come together with their team and universally discuss/agree on the final touches. BTS' main producer is named Pdogg, and he is AMAZING! He's produced most of BTS' tracks, and if the group receives tracks from outsiders, he still is the main guy who oversees it and finishes it up. He's won multiple production awards for working with BTS. Then of course, BTS write/compose 95% of their own songs, with a handful of their tracks produced by members. They do more writing/composing over producing for group stuff, but they mostly produce their own solo stuff outside of BTS. Also, that song was #4 on the setlist, lmao. They just went to change. They literally take 20 minutes to say goodbye at concerts, it's a whole thing.
The fun fact about the Army Bombs, light sticks which are programmed to your seat via blue tooth would change colors and write out words through out the concert so people are part of the performance. The light sticks also can be programmed to interact their recent Online live concerts as well. So your comment regarding "it must suck to be sitting in the section where the lights were dark spelling out BTS" cracked me up! Haha! The Magic shop was performed as the 4th song in their 2018 Love yourself world tour! They sung 24 songs and 3 encore songs for a total of 27 songs without any opening acts!
Each rapper writes their own parts. The three are so different. RM is the wordsmith, with a 148 IQ, his wordplay is astounding, and he is fast; Suga is raw and savage, and can go forever without a breath; Jhope is the flow artist. Together, they can’t be beat !
I must say every ARMY is super good at multi tasking cuz they can read the lyrics see every detail about the performance, analyze the melodies and even see every details of the outfits at the same time
@@blarmy827 yes jungkook was one of the main writers and producer for this song, but I wasn't talking about this song specifically. He asked how they split up lines. RM writes most of their songs/melody. The rap line usually write their own verses but rm writes the song for the most part (not this song but a lot of their songs in general). So RM said when he writes, he keeps the members in mind so he sort of knows where they'll all fit in. Of course they all go according to who fits what parts depending on the song but rm usually keeps everyone in mind while writing songs
Actually RM wrote 80-90% BTS songs or participate in them. But songs writing and production it's different... RM didn't involve in many composition or production..
@@nahidbegum2099 RM does the songwriting as well as composition on most of the songs (you can check his credits). Pdogg does a lot of the music production and composition as well
@@angiesplaylist23 pddog is producer RM is song writer in bighit ( if I called as position) Including pddog there's 3 more pducer , since the beginning they having 4 producer and 1 is female I know many songs RM, Yoongi, jhope, jungkook and even V participate in composition But just some of. But yes in Bighit RM having official position as songwriter that's why many bts members songs always recheck by RM and having credits of RM. Yoongi wrote tons of songs but it's not for BTS album. He wrote for other artist. But yoongi having most songs credit in komca
BTS have a kind of structure with their concerts, they start of with a really hype song, followed by 2-3 more songs (most of the time they're still super groovy/vibey), and then they have 2 member solos, a couple group songs, 2 more member solos, a group song and then a medley (on their world tours, they usually have 2 sets of medleys which they will perform), another group song, 1 or 2 more member solos, one group song, the last 2 member solos--connecting to subunits (vocal and rap line usually), and then they end the concert with 1 last group song. That's kind of the official part, but they always get changed into comfy clothing and come back on stage for a few songs (this too everyone knows about, it's not like a sometimes they do it sometimes they don't, it's just that they call it the encore--but no one leaves their seats until after they bow and fireworks go off (on their stadium tours))
BTS speak Korean and sing in Korean yet what they are known for internationally is their lyricism and how relatable they are as people! It's actually mind blowing!
I have no problem reading the lyrics while they are performing. Then again, I enjoy watching foreign films with captions. You just have to read faster with the lyrics on.
Indeed I have mastered this with anime, kdrama, Chinese dramas, kpop, korean RUclipsrs besides English is not my native language so before I. Watched tv with subtitles.
They've said that with lyrics it's almost like a competition between all of them. For example if they've already completed the song and just need the lyrics, the members who want to, write the lyrics they want and then "submit" them. Then higher ups like their boss choose what they think is best. However the rappers always write their own verses. Also, RM is known amongst the members and army to be the best songwriter so his lyrics get chosen a LOT I personally find lyrics super important, especially when listening to bts songs, so usually when new music comes out I first just listen to the song without lyrics and then listen to it again while reading the lyrics at the same time. I just prefer knowing exactly when they say certain things and what the music sounds like at that point lol Magic Shop was actually performed somewhat close to the beginning of the concert, it was the 4th song in out of the 23 songs in the setlist.
It is so good and has caused so many people to accuse them of lip syncing. Our boys never lip sync even when executing difficult choreography. They have such stable voices that they always sound incredible. The thing about reading the lyrics is also understanding the meaning. This song is emotional to so many people because it deals with mental health and coping with life problems. Young people especially identify with having a door to their heart where they can enter the magic shop to seek refuge and receive comfort.
All members write lyrics but the majority have been done by RM and Suga. When it's a rap song, the 3 rappers each write their own verse. Before BTS, the Kpop standard group dynamic was usually singers + 1 rapper with a normal popish song with a rap break. BTS used a different dynamic with 3 rappers, and the songs generally break down into 3 verses (1 for each rapper) with only the hook/chorus sung by the 4 vocalists. Because of their song makeup, it allows them to perform live much better. Before BTS it was the standard (and accepted) to lipsync on stage or have an extremely loud backing track, but BTS's smart verse/chorus distribution, it allows them to have minimal to no backing track and always sing live.
When a song first comes out I just vibe with it. Then I go back and dive into the lyrics. Once I know the song meaning I just vibe. Sometimes I will learn the Korean lyrics especially if it's on a concert set list. I usually pick up some of them anyways. I've been ARMY since 2016. I think this was in Kpso Dome in Seoul for the Love Yourself Speak Yourself world tour in 2019 approx. 44,00 people for 3 sold out nights over 120,000 at that venue alone. I think that tour had over 1 million fans attend worldwide grossing over $246 m. Something crazy like that. Always sold out. This was the final song of the encore. They usually have a setlist of approx. 23 songs and the concerts last nearly 3 hours. No opening acts. They are amazing live performers! I've attended 4 concerts and have 2 sets of tickets for 2 cities when the postponed tour is rescheduled. Ticket prices are really reasonable, like $69 to $250 plus fees each. Floor seats in total end up around $330 if you can snag them in the original sake. Resale tickets are crazy expensive!!
@@melgaye0 currently Ticketmaster is the official seller for their concerts. Sign up to be notified of BTS concerts. Be prepared to log on and wait. Its like the Hunger Games. Don't be picky. If you get through to ticketing take whatever you can get. Log into your account in advance and have your payment methods up to date. Official fan club members get limited first dibs at tickets. Good Luck.
I don't know about other ARMYs, but as an Asian, I was TRAINED to read subtitle with super fast speed ever since I knew how to read LOL coz that's how I'm watching all those AMERICAN - CHINESE - INDIAN movies, JAPANESE animes, then KOREAN dramas up until now. With JPOP/KPOP though, especially BTS, I'll always put the caption on everytime I saw their MV's OR if it isn't available yet in their official MV, there tons of fan who will upload the subtitle video whereas I could read the translated lyrics and sing along the song at the same time. That way, when they're singing live, i'll just vibe in and enjoying their performances :)
This Amazing song is composed by The Maknae JK.. to Thank people who is Important to him...specially His Hyung and Army..💜💜💜💜 And also To Comport those Who is feel alone, stress etc.
Using the word Co is helpful. He was not the only one. In fact all take part to some extent in most songs led by RM and Suga. Life Goes on was the first time when JK did more and thats why it was publicised.
and if you're genuinely curious about their songwriting process, they talk about that in the BE series in their yt channel. u can search the RM being interviewed by Jimin and the one where RM interviewed Suga.
RM is one of the most credited kpop idol ever, he is credited in almost every BTS song, because he not only writes his own rap verses but also a lot of the other members' solos and songs in which he doesn't even rap
(plus) he also wasn't even present in the song. Jimin solos as for example. Joon is amazing. And so does the other members. They're all built differently and shines brightly amidst/against each others' brilliance. Amazing. BTS is amazing, wether it be members and/or the people behind them.
You have no idea how many times I cried because of this song. It really comforts me so much whenever i listen to it when I have problems in life, it just comforts me so much. That’s why i may sometimes get defensive when people don’t really appreciate the song, it is so dear to my heart
BTS's songs has healing properties, that's for sure! BTS is magicians in turning the messages they want to deliver with the type of music they prefer. That's why the language barrier is not a barrier at all. As an ARMY, I have BTS playlists for every occasion: BTS for work out, BTS for studying, BTS for driving, BTS for reading time, etc :) also, there's literally thousands of BTS's song covers and playlists on YT by amazing musicians. Highly encourage you to look and discover it! Great reaction btw,, !!
The member who was singing with the crowd before it started is the one who coproduced and then all the rappers and jk co-wrote it. Wonder if he realizes that JUNGKOOK the youngest member is credited with coproducing MAGIC SHOP and that JUNGKOOK RM SUGA and JHOPE also wrote it. Lol that’s over half the group writing on this track alone and our youngest jk helping produce it ! They all have different things they’re working on and build from their... suga writes like 300 songs a year lol Or V had a song that he was working on as a solo song and someone heard it and thought it would be a good group song so they switched it up and made it work as a group song for 7... I don’t think they have just one way of doing things. think he should check out the “in the soop” footage of them creating that song, recorded and produced it... wasn’t it like 8 days?!?!? Army’s help me out here... I’m not sure how many days but I just know it wasn’t long... it’s interesting how they did it.. it was really cool I think . Harder to grasp the lyrics from the live... it would be easier watching the music video but I don’t think that’s what he wants to do with them... but it’s the whole package with the sound, lyrics, music video, outfits, colors that make a song ..... an experience...Art
Jungkook is main producer of this song. Why other are mention only when talking about him. We don'[t talk about PDogg beeing main producer in 90% songs when rap line is involved.
Funny that you noticed the audio is top notch! This live performance is from their Japan tour and I heard that Japan has the best live sound engineering because concert culture is so popular there so they have really good sound crew working at the stadiums. I noticed a difference in audio quality when I compare the concert DVD from say Sao Paolo vs Japan.
Jungkook co-wrote and composed a song called “your eyes tell” for a Japanese movie about a blind woman falling in love with an ex con and the group sang it live and it’s got beautiful vocals and even the rap parts have slower cadences for effect , one of them rap/sings and it’s beautiful and last rapper comes in at the end adding that extra deep tone towards the end before the climax... I had no clue what it said but it definitely brought me to tears... then I read the words and more tears.. it’s beautiful and was supposed to just be for the credits at the end bc he watched raw footage of the film before release obviously and wrote the song for the movie... they loved it so much they decided to use it as the theme song for it... the vocal tones will be something you dig from your other reactions I think
For BTS albums, its a cohesive process. They start with an album theme. From there, the members produce beats/propose melodies and submit them to their in-house Exec Producer. The submissions by the BTS members will be pooled with other in-house producers and/or external producers. They will then choose the best one they think fits their theme. Once they've chosen a beat, the producer/composer, their Exec Producer and the BTS members will go back and forth and submit demos and make changes as necessary until theyre satisfied with the track. once the track is complete, the members write lyrics based on the theme given and again submit that to their exec producer. they will then choose the lyrics that works best for the song and the theme. The rappers usually write/perform their own parts. However, they sometimes exchange parts if they think that specific part will be best delivered by someone else. the same is true for the vocalists.. All the vocalists will sing the entire song, do their own adlibs and then they will choose the parts that best suits them.. For their mixtapes (RM, AGUSTD, Hope World, mono and D-2) and solo songs they post on soundcloud, they have more control since they consider it as personal solo projects. For these, the members do everything themselves from production to lyric writing, supervise mixing and all the good stuff.
I listen to the song and try to read the lyrics at the same time. When the translated lyrics don't match the melody I finish listening to the whole song first, then listen again pausing to get the full meaning. Then when I listen again I can match the vibe and korean lyrics to the meaning. Sometimes if I am streaming there are no lyrics available so I watch lyric videos after listening to the songs. Like you mentioned the music, vocals and melodies are so good they transcend language. But it hits different, deeper when you understand the message. 💜Love your reactions, Jacob.
at 10:22 in your video when you are talking about not having a light, I realized that the negative light space spells out BTS in the crowd. Thats wild the amount of planning to coordinate that either from the production, or as fans.
BTS gives us inspiration lyrics magic shop is one of them Even some people feel alone ,sad or start to loose Hope the magic shop lyrics tell that we are not alone and give us hope so YOU GIVE ME THE BEST OF ME SO YOU GIVE YOU THE BEST OF YOU -BTS MAGIC SHOP 😊❤️
Personally for me, music is all about the vibes. When I first listen to BTS songs, I always listen to it without lyrics first. Reading the lyrics distracts me from the overall song which I don't appreciate. Sometimes you don't need the lyrics to evoke an emotion. The first time I listened to Whalien 52 I legit cried even without knowing what the song truly meant. Afterwards, I go back and listen with lyrics once I already have a general feeling for the song. I really only do this with BTS songs because their lyrics usually have a deeper meaning than most others.
not sure how you missed the the dark section spelled out BTS - the lightsticks are bluetooth control based on your seating so production team actually turns them off to spell BTS lol
I'm thinking he noticed the BTS, but he was thinking that peoole got lights from the venue and these people did not get the lights so they could make the "BTS" - and not getting the light when everyone else did would suck. Like he doesn't know about personal bombs and the technology behind them.
If you love "music" you do not have to always understand the lyric....but, when you understand the lyric with the music.....that is what make it absolutely fantastic......makes a music lover's heart very happy!
LOVE how you breakdown and explain things many don't hear like you can because of your expertise. And yes, it does transcend launguage. The beauty of their voices and the melodies are just....🤗🤗🤗 Jungkook produced and composed this song for ARMY to help us feel better. Ever since he really got into producing and writing more and more his confidence has grown leaps and bounds!! They do go to one another if they need help with something or a opinion. Jk tends to be the most guarded until he thinks its perfect. His last two Japanese contributions "Your Eyes Tell" and "Film Out" are truly beautiful and so scincintly different. I can wait to see what we are gonna get from them later this year!!! 💜💜💜
I've always thought that about the song and it's literally song like 4 in the line up. They came straight out of the gate with really upbeat songs then they play magic shop before taking a short break and it ramps back up. Their concert structure is actually really nice. I've always enjoyed it when I've gone to see them. They organize it really well but explaining how would defeat the purpose since you're not familiar with enough of the songs or their many styles of music. You have to remember that their music spans almost a decade at this point and the concerts tend to hit on most of the albums. It's usually a 2 and a half to 3 hour concert
My mind is honestly trained to read lyrics and grasp whats going on otherwise. It took me a bit but the mind eventually gets trained like that. It is astoundingly helpful when you get past that 1 inch barrier of subtitle. The experience of especially a BTS song is consummate when you are grasping everything altogether. Not to mention, it will help you in watching movies and shows in other languages too. The door to some superb content gets opened to you once you get comfortable reading subs. Thank you for your reactions. 💜
We thought magic shop would be the live ender too but surprisingly it was the *second* song performed in the love yourself tour 😳 the ending song was answer: love yourself. it’s a good fit too.
The light sticks are actually controlled by the crew members back stage by bluetooth so they control what color the light sticks is going to be during the show like blue, red, etc to fit the mood of the song and some times to make messages in the audience, thats why it looked like they didn’t have light sticks.
if i'm not mistaken, Magic Shop was in the 1st set of the concert. when they write the lyrics of their song, the rappers usually write their own verse as what RM mentioned years ago. the vocal line's solo song lyrics such as Awake (Jin), Lie (Jimin), Stigma (V) and Begin (Jungkook) were written by each vocalist. the rest mostly were co written and composed by either the rap line or the rest of the members along with their in-house producers. each member writes and composes numerous lyrics and melodies. they would submit it to the company and let their CEO Bang PD take a look and listen to them and he would the one to sort out and pick the best songs to release for the specific album then everybody would work on it to make them as phenomenal if not more than their previous songs. BTS have a say in everything that's why they don't have conflicts with their agency. their CEO is like their eldest brother if not a very cool father to them hence contibutes greatly to BTS'success. and yes, when BTS perfirm live, you don't want it to end! BTS are the greatest performers alive. BTS is the best! there's nothing like BTS!
8:00 >>> for me I usually listen to the song multiple times and days ...and then I feel like I want to know what this song about ..and when I read the lyrics after I heard it soooo many times I get surprise and my reaction will be like oh so that what the song mean ....I feel this way I can enjoy BTS music more
Most of us have probably listened to each song when it comes out at least 2 or 3 times. You listen to the song first (if it's not a MV) then you look up the lyrics, then you listen to the song with the lyrics. If you are going to listen to music like this in a language like Korean it's not really ever going to match the cadence you are just going to have to adjust. What you learn as a listener of Korean music especially if you pay attention to the lyrics, there are words in both languages (english and korean) that dont have corresponding words in the other language, the same also goes for letters and sounds. So what you get especially in english translations many times are equivalent words and those words probably aren't going to flow in the music because technically that isn't what they said. As I said, it's something you have to resign yourself to if you are going to invest in BTS' music because their lyrics are so integral to the song. As many have mentioned, they all write music but their main songwriter is RM. The rappers always write their lyrics for each song usually (example dynamite they didnt cause it was just a repetition thing) but RM is their most proficient writer. BH also has in-house song writers whose names pop up a lot: P-Dogg, Adora, Slow Rabbit, Hitman Bang (the company's CEO) etc. They also do much of their own production. You'll see the guys names but especially P-Dogg. It's a close group but they of course have done songs from outside writers and producers like DJ Swivel and the song 'Euphoria" or Troye Sivan and Ed Sheeran. About BTS' concerts. They usually perform to crowds of around 40-60k averagely. There are some stadiums that were bigger and some that were a bit smaller. But arena/stadium shows are roughly averaged to that. The dark places you saw were dark on purpose. The lights in the crowd are called army bombs (it's part of Idol music culture for each group to have a lightstick for them) and when you go to a concert, you sync it up with an app and during certain parts of the concert the BTS staff changes your bomb to spell out stuff or if there are colors associated with songs etc.
Jungkook was one of the main song writers and producers for this song with RM helping as well as some others. But Jimin said this was Jungkook’s song and he really wanted to preform it well.
This is the first bts song that when i heard it i didnt understand a word but tears just came down my face, and when i read the lyrics i really brome down even more! MUSIC TRUELY TRANCENDS LANGUAGE! 💜
They sometimes re-arrange the background music to meet the needs of stadium concerts. Either they add something, recorded the band version, or in older concerts they really have their live band playing..
I like to have a listen before then dig into lyrics then listen again after. You can definitely enjoy and just vibe, but their lyrics really are amazing and add another layer of enjoyment to the song!
As a long time ARMY, whenever BTS lets say, releases a new music video, I will watch the video without subtitles, and then on my second round of it with subtitles. Then once Doolset has the lyrics up (because you really should only trust Doolset or BTS themselves) I'll read the translation. Going back to the songs sometimes I will put subs on and sometimes i wont. Some songs I know so well that without subs I alrdy know what they are saying, like 2!3! and Spring Day. But.. It is a HUGE disservice to BTS to not look at the lyrics. They put so much thought and time into the lyrics. RM does livestreams where he talks about the writing process of some songs, what things happened that lead him to write a song and it's beautiful. The metaphors that he uses are just.. they are beautiful. He even will take the way Korean is written and use the way a letter is changed for a phrase in a song. Doolset goes in depth on explaining Korean meanings to the lyrics, and you can always tell when RM is coming up because there are massive explanations on a single line.
Crowd interplay with the group are called fan chants. And the "lights" are ARMY bombs. Most Kpop groups have distinct light sticks, so in awards shows and industry specials you're able to see all the group's represented by their fans. Personally, though I stan many groups other than BTS, I only own the ARMY bomb myself. Suckers are close to $100 bucks a pop!!! Trust me when I say, stanning Kpop is an EXPENSIVE hobby!!! The light sticks can also be taken over by the concert production team through bluetooth, so at different points, different colors are displayed and often words are dispersed throughout the crowd such as BTS, ARMY, etc.. With BTS, purple is seen a lot and has special meaning. Phrases such as "I purple you" and "borahae" bind us together and relates to the mutual love between BTS and ARMY. V coined the phrases and they relate to the rainbow. You can look up V explains borahae, if you want. I'm sure you've seen purple 💜💜💜💜 dispersed throughout your comment section. That's how we show our love to each other and ties to the phrases and meanings behind them. Rap line usually write their own raps and sometimes vocal line will write their own melodies. All seven compose, write and produce (though Suga, RM and Hobi have the most credits under their belts. Suga has even said that he writes about 300 songs per year, so...) Finally, I listen and watch a video first to get a feel and honest reaction. I then watch again to look for easter eggs and meaning via visuals and finally, on the third or fourth go, I put on the captions and read the lyrics. After this I go find a lyric video and FINALLY come back on the sixth run to tie everything together and just fan-girl, lol. A bit much, but it is what it is!!! 🤣🤣🤣 I hope this was helpful!
the fact that they are personally writing the lysrics themselves with everything they are feeling or felt and put them in a lyrics makes it more nicer and heartfelt💜
The reason I got hooked on bts was the lyrics, the experience is 100 times better for me when I get to read the translations, they don't distract me from the rest of the song. I do also put a LOT of importance on lyrics though, and since bts are such amazing lyricists and poets I find it a pity when people don't read the translations. But I know some people don't care that much for lyrics, and that's fine too, they just focus more on the feeling they get from the music.
I usually read the lyrics while listening the second time I hear their songs. It definitely changes how hard these songs hit. I cried straight through the Wing album while reading along with it.
Thank you for putting up the video so we can watch along with you, Even though we may have seen it hundreds of times already. Since I am a fairly fast reader, it does not bother me to watch the video and the captions on at the same time. Thank you for continuing to reactivate yes, I look forward to more from you.
His songs, his lyrics are profound, it encourages you to keep going despite what has gone wrong. Something psychological i don't know but its lyrics are beautiful. Although we do not understand what it says by the language, it gives you peace of mind or you are encouraged to dance it. Then you tell them their meaning and you stay wow .. I imagine that has happened to you when you listen to his songs.
I listen to the song, then I look up the lyrics, and then I listen to the song and listen to the song and listen to the song. I love the sound of the Korean language as a musical texture. The lights are controlled by BTS staff, using Bluetooth. They're the ones who change the colors, and turn off selected lights to create letters or other patterns. Forget the synths, this would be cool sung acapella. Happy to see you happy vibing to the song.
In the live performance, if you're asking where is it place on the setlist, even though it's like an encore song, it's actually place right after 2 OF THEIR HARD CHOREO performances, that explains why most of them are sweating a lot. They performed Magic Shop right after 2 performance, an intro ment and then boom.
It is said that if an ARMY got lost in a foreign country, they only need to shout "so show me" & it is highly possible that they will hear someone shouting back "I'll show you". ARMYs are known to help other ARMYs even if they're strangers. This is the fun part of this fandom & I'm very proud to be part of it💜
Those lights are called army bombs, and you buy them, they are all connected and sync, the concert crew are the ones that control them at the concert to create a different ambient for each song, huge waves, they change if they flicker, the color or if they turn off
The rappers are the ones who are mainly involved exspecially rm in lyrics writing and suga in production. They work like a music camp if one produces a beat they sent it to the company other members or bighit producers work on it if they find it intresting, different people write lyrics at the same time but at time of making the album they collect all of these different works and incorporate the best out of those. It is like they filter. This is the main reason all the albums and songs sounds different from each other. They feed of each others work like in a good way and choose the best.
I think watching and following lyrics at the same time, takes time to do both with ease. I have been watching K and C - Dramas, for years now. It was easier for me when I became ARMY 3 years ago. What I am told by my friends it was like anything else it took time but got easier for them as time went by. I don't know how it works but I can read and watch at the same time now without even thinking about it. Enjoyed the reaction. Thank you!
I tend to listen to the music first to get the FEEL of it, then I'll rewatch with the lyrics... then just watch it enough that I pretty much remember what they're saying... and eventually can sing along in Korean... even though I don't speak it, yet... I'm learning. :) Those lights are called ARMY Bombs. We buy them, they aren't cheap >_
Everything everyone has shared about the songwriting process is true but has evolved the last few albums. As the different members proved themselves as songwriters, songs have become less a competition and more projects assigned to different members. I noticed this when RM did his Vlog for Love yourself tear but also different times he shared when he was working on the album. He seemed to take on writing the lyrics for certain tracks. It was not a competition, no one else wrote for those songs, he wrote the lyrics for those songs. They turned out good and were accepted. He wrote most of the lyrics for the album but that was definitely his designated work. He may have volunteered for it and was trusted with it. When the group members have shared how they contributed to the album map of the soul: persona, there was also a change. Jhope had proved himself when he wrote and produced his mixtape hopeworld and RM and Suga had long proved themselves. JK was becoming a familiar name on writing production credits for vocal arrangement especially but also producing and writing credits. RM and PDogg wrote and produced RM solo together Pdog doing the track RM everything else. This was of course expected no competition needed. For the subgroup with Jin Jhope and Jungkook, j-hope was encouraged to lead writing the track and lyrics with help from collaborators it was something he was asked to do and willing take responsibility for. He also ended up taking responsibility big parts of Dionysus. If he had been unable to contribute as much as he was able to of course they would have found other people but he was put in charge of parts of that track. Because these were assigned to him he had the freedom to ask for help whenever he needed it and RM and other producers at bighit helped him when he struggled. Different songs on map of the soul 7 were also assigned to members to work on with songwriters and producers. Concept of map of the soul 7 was to have songs that reflected each of the boys personal stories so of course they were all from the beginning intended to be part of creating the songs. That album also had songs that were by and large written by outside songwriting collaborations like Troye Sivan and his writing team on louder than bombs. Bts's production team was involved with that song but there was likely no competition just collaboration. For BTS's most recent album BE, they did not look for tracks or melodies from the outside songwriting community but all of it was written by the boys and the in-house production team. They wrote many songs at this time and the best were chosen and refined for the album. They had started the project with a meeting about what kind of songs they wanted to share on the album and intentionally created songs that way. All seven members were writing for the album BE. They now are all writing music and you will hear that the different members who are working on songs will go to RM and he will help them with their projects when they hit a wall or need some help. In a recent youtube video RM and Suga talked about how they are the two old pro's at songwriting and production. They get it done and are prolific and productive when it comes to songwriting. All this of course comes with the assumption that they put their heart and soul into their lyrics and albums. When you watch their vlogs through the years and they share their hearts and struggles and pain, so much of what they say finds itself into the lyrics of the next several albums and personal projects. An example of that is rm's vlogs sharing his depression, loneliness, and struggles with self-loathing and self love eventually becoming his song reflection with its chorus "I wish I could love myself" eventually inspiring the entire love yourself album series. This members and production team have deep conversations and meetings about what they want to share and create. RM and suga both said years ago that they are artists because they would go crazy if they couldn't share what's going on inside, outwardly through music..
i actually got into thanks to their lyricism, thanks to suga’s first mixtape i want to dive deepere and fall in love with their whole discography and honestly both the melodies and their lyrisicm goes together for me. To me i listen to the music first and the second listening i read the lyrics.
this is my healing song... i love this song so much but all the songs of them are so good.. they are not lile any other boyband.. thank you for reacting to them
Watch a lyric only video. It highlights who is singing which line. Then watch a live performance. The live performances give them a chance to stretch their voices/phrasing/ad-libs, etc. This particular song is written for the ARMYs (their fans!! Like me!! 51-year old ARMY!!!) I would also recommend The Truth Untold, lyrics first and then a live performance. You will be amazed how they absolute silence of the ARMYs during the performance.
They sang at the end. But the songs changed based on the newest album. So yeah and those people with no lights. It’s actually controlled mostly people have lightstick and you’ll register upon entry so the staff if your lights going to be turned off or not depends on the seat.
They appear record the entire song in 7 versions and then decide who sings which part best,as for the raps their placing is decided beforehand i assume so that the guys can write the lyrics.the raps are always written by the members themselves.
For the flow, I think they have revealed in the past that BTS members usually record the whole song themselves individually and then after it, they gather together and choose whose voices suits the certain part the most, then that goes on the studio version o he song
If it's something new, I watch it 3 times: - 1st just feeling the music and enjoying the video - 2nd reading the lyrics and understanding the message - 3rd knowing everything, I'll enjoy one more time
Fun fact, the lightstick syncronize with somewhat server in concert so we dont even have to turn it on because it will light on/off and make a pattern itself. Buy yours now 😝 its beautiful.
magic shop was actually closer to the beginning of the setlist than the end. to be fair, it was right before a break in the show, so the overall vibe was 'this is the end of this journey; onto the next' kind of thing. these shows are 2 hours long + another 45 min encore so the setlists are looooooong.
it looks like the beginning of the show they do 3 song in full costume then change to second costume for individual songs then la quick change for last set then last change into t-shirts or sweatshirts for last song

U RIGHT
Thank you for this explanation 💜🤗
From what I've read, Jungkook actually produced magic shop and a couple of the other group songs himself as well as his own solo music.
Truth!
This song was co-written by JK and produce by him.
I must say every ARMY is super good at multi tasking cuz they can read the lyrics see every detail about the performance, analyze the melodies and even see every details of the outfits at the same time
Amazing
RM is involved in most of the songwriting so yes he sort of knows where each member would fit in best
Rm jungkook jhope and suga were all involved in writing this
@@blarmy827 yes jungkook was one of the main writers and producer for this song, but I wasn't talking about this song specifically.

But just some of.
But yes in Bighit RM having official position as songwriter that's why many bts members songs always recheck by RM and having credits of RM.

Nice!!?
No on dares to leave before the concert is finished because they went through Hunger Games just to get them😂

Same i watch chinese drama too much with sub reading lyrics became easy
Indeed I have mastered this with anime, kdrama, Chinese dramas, kpop, korean RUclipsrs besides English is not my native language so before I. Watched tv with subtitles.
They've said that with lyrics it's almost like a competition between all of them. For example if they've already completed the song and just need the lyrics, the members who want to, write the lyrics they want and then "submit" them. Then higher ups like their boss choose what they think is best. However the rappers always write their own verses. Also, RM is known amongst the members and army to be the best songwriter so his lyrics get chosen a LOT
I personally find lyrics super important, especially when listening to bts songs, so usually when new music comes out I first just listen to the song without lyrics and then listen to it again while reading the lyrics at the same time. I just prefer knowing exactly when they say certain things and what the music sounds like at that point lol
Magic Shop was actually performed somewhat close to the beginning of the concert, it was the 4th song in out of the 23 songs in the setlist.
My bias jooniie
It is so good and has caused so many people to accuse them of lip syncing. Our boys never lip sync even when executing difficult choreography. They have such stable voices that they always sound incredible. The thing about reading the lyrics is also understanding the meaning. This song is emotional to so many people because it deals with mental health and coping with life problems. Young people especially identify with having a door to their heart where they can enter the magic shop to seek refuge and receive comfort.
RM writes the majority of the lyrics and is the designated writer and and Suga/Jhope the rappers write their own. Some songs like this one is by JK.
Nice!

Cool thanks!

7:29 oh that part....the voice
Well explained.. thanks 👍

ARMY watch the videos so much times that we can read the lyrics, watch the dances, the video in general, the production of the music.

Jungkook produced and composed this song for ARMY to help us feel better.

Really enjoyed your review and yes BTS are outta this world! Their music transcends all boundaries of language or culture.
I love them because of the lyrics; they are essential for me.
So good
Magic Shop is my all time favourite BTS song. Thanks for reacting to it.
Nice!
Because music is all unit, lyrics and melody, but bts put all together as the best one. Real musician
Suga has even said that he writes about 300 songs per year, so...)
Finally, I listen and watch a video first to get a feel and honest reaction. 🤣🤣🤣
I hope this was helpful!
the fact that they are personally writing the lysrics themselves with everything they are feeling or felt and put them in a lyrics makes it more nicer and heartfelt💜
But like i just vibe other times after. Just having read it once changes its effect for the rest of time. I can't read while driving 😂
Nice!
I always listen first, and then after I check out the lyrics and it does usually makes me love a song even more.
It's actually on the first part of their concert tour, They open their show with two hard choreo performances then an intro ment, then magic shop
I love this song, so healing💜
Experience makes a man perfect, so we are used to reading while listening it became a talent for ARMY and other fandom
I normally vibe, cry, then read the lyrics and sometimes cry again. 💜🔥
I listen to the music first, then the lyrics....maybe because i LOVE the music!
i actually got into thanks to their lyricism, thanks to suga’s first mixtape i want to dive deepere and fall in love with their whole discography and honestly both the melodies and their lyrisicm goes together for me. To me i listen to the music first and the second listening i read the lyrics.
this is my healing song... i love this song so much but all the songs of them are so good.. they are not lile any other boyband.. thank you for reacting to them
🔥🔥
Watch a lyric only video. It highlights who is singing which line. Then watch a live performance. The live performances give them a chance to stretch their voices/phrasing/ad-libs, etc. This particular song is written for the ARMYs (their fans!! Like me!! 51-year old ARMY!!!)
I would also recommend The Truth Untold, lyrics first and then a live performance.
For the flow,
I think they have revealed in the past that BTS members usually record the whole song themselves individually and then after it, they gather together and choose whose voices suits the certain part the most, then that goes on the studio version o he song
If it's something new, I watch it 3 times:
- 1st just feeling the music and enjoying the video
- 2nd reading the lyrics and understanding the message
- 3rd knowing everything, I'll enjoy one more time
I am listening to this song almost everyday~~
in this concert magic shop wasn’t the closing song but in one of their other tours it was the closing song
They are great live performers !!!
Absolutely
sometimes it's hard for me to keep up with the lyrics so I just enjoy the song first and then I watch it again focusing on lyrics
Fun fact, the lightstick syncronize with somewhat server in concert so we dont even have to turn it on because it will light on/off and make a pattern itself. Buy yours now 😝 its beautiful.
Yeah me too. I don’t understand korean but just vibe to the song and you will found yourself smiling all day😂
lol
love ur reaction -!✊🏻✊🏻🔥🔥💜💜
magic shop was actually closer to the beginning of the setlist than the end. to be fair, it was right before a break in the show, so the overall vibe was 'this is the end of this journey; onto the next' kind of thing. these shows are 2 hours long + another 45 min encore so the setlists are looooooong.
it looks like the beginning of the show they do 3 song in full costume then change to second costume for individual songs then la quick change for last set then last change into t-shirts or sweatshirts for last song
