Guys thank you sooo much for reacting to this song. This song actually saved me in soo many ways, no lie! It's one of my favourite songs ever and yes I know I say that about all BTS's songs, but this has such a HUGE significance to me, I listen to this song almost every day and it still hits me the same hhaha. Also, quick fun fact, Jungkook had a huge hand in the creation of this song and you can see on the credits that he is the main producer and writer of this song. He describes Magic Shop as a place of refuge for the heartbroken, a place of healing for the disturbed, and a place of love for those who are lonely. He talked about in during their album release and told us it was a song dedicated to us ARMYs, as you have gathered :) “Magic Shop” was inspired by neurosurgeon’s James R. Doty’s book, Into The Magic Shop, as a psychodramatic technique that exchanges fear for a positive attitude. Jungkook also mentions how he was inspired by RM (Namjoon) where Namjoon gave a beautiful speech during one of their previous concerts. A cumulation of all of this is how he came up with the lyrics. Jin's voice has many colors. You said it sounded like a mixture of V and JM's voices... I don't think so. They used to say that Jin's voice has the highest pitch and the widest range. BTS songs seem to match JM for high notes and V for low notes. Of course, JK is in charge of most of the parts as the main vocalist. Jin has the power to stably cover them. Of course, each vocalist has their own charm and cannot be replaced by anyone else. Jin has the fewest singing parts on most songs, but it still captures our hearts. Attractive like an accent color.
I agree with you. One vocal coach I watched say the same thing too. Jin's voice actually stable them like the connecting part. I remembered, Jin also mentioned it in his BE interview, he said in the team he's the only one who kind of has an ambiguous range so he always has to choose in between V's and Jimin's range. Honestly, I am waiting if he would release a rock song bec I love his part in fake love but I want to hear more of his mid range too. Most reactors I've watched also loved his mid range.
