He founded an animal sanctuary. I think the lions are rescues and he raised them. The cameraman is also a part of the pack. :)

A lion stays a wild animal. Dean goes in there knowing that and he respects that. He's putting his life at risk everytime he goes in there even though they love him. They won't neccecarily hurt him on purpose but they frequently do by accident. They can just as easily kill by accident as well.

He raised them yes. But he also understood them and I think that’s a big thing.

From what i understand he uses lion community/behaviour dynamics to integrate himself into that specific pride. So in a sense he is one of the pride members, but its only because he plays by their rules even though he's known them since a baby. Many wild aninals will straight up discontinue you if you dont know what you're doing, and even some large herbivore domestic animals will unalive you as an adult if you try to hand raise them and do it wrong. Working successfully with aninals means adapting yourself to work with their natural dynamic, not the other way around. Glad u guys enjoyed the video ❤

he raised them yes, but more than that, he understand them, he act like them, he is like a member of the lion pride. he is always carefull to what he do with them, and how they react. and he always says it : no one should try it with an wild animal, without being a professionnal of animal rescue. even if lions are friendly with him, their is NO 0% danger.

Not all animals are friendly if you raise them. Alligators, snakes, Hippos, komodo dragons etc will kill their owners in a heartbeat if the owners make a small mistake in handling them.
