He raised them from when they were cubs. He also raises hyenas and leopards too. As a South African myself I’ve heard stories of people who cared for lion cubs, but when they reached adulthood they unfortunately maul and kill them. I guess it takes more than just raising them, it also takes patience, discipline and understanding their language. This has to be at Kruger National Park

He raised the lions from when they were cubs and now fully grown. He and the Camara man have a great relationship with the pride dedication beyond human understanding.
No, do not ever be under the illusion that these large predators are on our level of understanding. That’s the worst mistake people make, you are an idiot if you think a wild apex predator will suppress its natural instincts just because you feed them, nurture them, care for them and play nicely. These animals are to be respected, admired and appreciated, not as friends or family but for the beautiful intelligent mammals they are. The amount of fools that watch his content and assume they can replicate this is astounding, as others in the comments point out, his connection to them is beautiful, but don’t think for one second these lions wouldn’t flip on him in a second. They don’t understand human morals or codes of conduct, they only know instinct. Dean is for the most part doing good but has fairly come under scrutiny for the negative behaviour he’s inspiring and perpetuating through these videos. Especially using the lions to push endorsement deals for watches and other non compliant or ethical items that don’t align with his intentions of conservational awareness. I guarantee y’all 100% that this is all going to end horribly.

He raised them and he's still growing and learning, he has a video where Dexter and snow both who are males were going through a power in balance and he had to take a step back, and even the camera man gets told to back off when things Get rough!

Rather than dogs, a mans's best friend that normally should be trained so they listen to you, you're their alpha
Lions are not like that at all, as a cat owner this is exactly how cats behave, they love affection (sometimes), they love privacy (sometimes), they warn you with growls if they got annoyed, finally attack if you still interrupting their space. Truly fascinating.
oh and my cat and any cats that i've encountered don't have a problem with me being close or even groom & pet them while they're eating literally, it's different if it's a cat to cat, if the meal is good they got protective
also i love the variety of yall channel you'll never guess what to get the next day😂
Please don't ever think that these lions are tame, they are still very much Wild, but the pride excepted him, still very much willd animals though ❤

U forget the camera personnel
This is dangerous sport. More men like this one were "part" of a pact/familie of dangerous animals. Bears, lions etc. There will come a point where it all goes wrong. I'm sure he knows what he is doing, but when shit goes wrong there is nothing he can do.
All those men and woman killed by there beloved "animal friends" where preaching the same things he is. In the end it costs them their life.
Moral of the story, you are not a lion.
@@huntriel984 Dean absolutely knows this. He is very much aware of the dangers, but he knows that because he essentially raised the pride of lions since they were cubs and they know him enough to not attack him. But still, he always acknowledges the dangers, that's why he says that it is a horrible idea for anyone the lions don't know to go in with him and his camera man ( who is also a part of the lion pride ).

Gators are wayyyy more dangerous and unpredictable than lions 😂😂 lions are warm blooded mammals like us. Gators are cold blooded reptiles. Its easier to tame a amd train a warm blooded mammal than a reptile. I'll take the lions please 🙏 😂
