The crowd of extras during the Teacher’s Day speech were not given any context for what Chatur would say, and their laughter was genuine every time they recorded it.
It's also funny to see subbed reactions because technically the english isn't even translated properly and extremely lightly worded. He's pretty much calling the head a rapist and the other guy boobs in contexually translated english which is what makes it hilarious in the first place. If you know hindi you know how funny it is. Especially for the sanskrit poem about farts but that would be impossible to translate
I think the concept of this movie is truly great. Being a fellow south Asian I completely understand the dark truth behind the pressure put on the students by parents and teachers. I just didn’t like the director/writers stealing scenes from other movies. Other than that it is an awesome movie.
Most of Chatur’s mispronunciations of Hindi words are genuine mispronunciations because his actor Omi Vaidya similarly lacks fluency in the Hindi language compared to Marathi, and he needed his lines to be written in Roman letters. According to him, the crew had the rule, “Nobody correct this man, or you’re fired,” because they found it so funny.
According to Omi Vaidya, the scene where Chatur confronts Rancho and Farhan about changing his speech demanded a level of anger in his performance that he did not feel he could muster because the actors were too nice to even pretend to be mad at, so he effectively isolated himself in a hotel room for three days and told everyone to not call him so he could pretend that they were purposefully excluding him whenever he heard about their group activities, building up an imaginary resentment against them for that scene. Thankfully, the scene was recorded on his 28th birthday and the crew brought a cake up to him when they were done shooting.

This movie was the first movie to cross the 200 cr mark box office collecttion in India and it was even more successful in all over the Asia. In China, it was even more successful than India. It's 2024, and the Indian education system still hasn't changed much. Just today, the NEET-PG nationwide medical entrance test was postponed a mere 10 hours before the exam on the suspicion of a paper leak. More than 200k students were scheduled to appear for the exam, many of whom had already traveled long distances to reach their exam centers and they were already under immense stress. Just a few days ago, the results of the NEET-UG was announced, and it was revealed that the paper had been leaked. Many students were distraught hearing that. The entire situation is currently under "investigation" by the CBI. Right now, I was supposed to be studying for NEET-PG when I found out a few hours ago that it has been postponed. These past few months have been extremely tough, to say the least, and now I'll have to go through it all over again when they announce a new date. It's true, the indian education system feels like a pressure cooker or even a circus at times handled by clowns on top. That's why indian audience especially students relate to this movie so much even 15 yrs after the release. It refreshing to watch this reaction and to take a break from all the mess.

@@MarcyRavenManji Yep. People pay one year of college fees upfront and get the whole 4 year degree. A lot of people who are not good academically do that just to be eligible for jobs that require a bachelor's degree and has more salary than if u are just a high school graduate. People sell their lands, properties and what not just to have a degree. The fake degree sellers in colleges also get caught in investigations very frequently. But it's still rampant
Actually the baby with "all is well" connection symbolizes that there is so much mental/pear pressures out there in the world, even a newborn baby's heart can stop working(literally), and as Rancho said earlier, you need to fool your heart by chanting the mantra "All izz well", it gives you courage to fight the pressure.
Nope that's not what it means. You're finding interpretations where there are none. "All is well" is just something the baby involuntarily responded to in the womb, the baby kicked out of reflex everytime he heard that in the womb and that stayed with the baby when he came out of the womb too. There is a lot of research suggesting that what babies hear in the womb affects them in their childhood as well.
Don't recommend that trash movie. Blindwave only does bollywood movie reaction once in a span of years so please only recommend good movies that every or most Indians will agree on and not some trash movie like Andhadhun that only you or a few personally like. Andhadhun is a very generic movie that doesn't do justice to Indian cinematography and its not gonna be great or impressive for those who watch Hollywood. Its nothing new for them while there are other better bollywood movies to recommend which are great and unique to India and Bollywood like Taare Zameen Par, lagaan etc. Andhadhun is inspired from hollywood movies, its concept and ideas are very basic especially for those accustomed to Hollywood movies. Don't recommend andhadhun because we don't know when they are gonna watch another Bollywood/Indian movie so please think and choose carefully what Indian movie they should watch next. F#$@ Andhadhun!
The amount of impact this movie had on everyone when it was released it still unbelievable to me. I remember my dad, who also happens to be an engineer, insist that we watch this movie and it just completely entirely changed me.
3 idiots is one of my favorite movies of all time. While the subtitled version is fine if you know the language man is it a laugh riot, this movie is the perfect crass yet sincere movie where the silly & fowl language jokes are followed with absolute realistic moments & still hits very hard. There's a reason this movie had a profound impact in Asian countries. Its message might be something that is not understanding to many Western audiences but hits wayyyy to close for many of us here.

I think you guys should next watch Taare Zameen par. It also stars Aamir khan as the lead and he is also the director and producer. That movie delves into how a child who is labelled ' weird ' by teachers, and parents, struggles and how a teacher plays such an important role in a kid's life. Loved your guys' reaction
The main character, Rancho or Phunsukh Wangdu is actually inspired by an engineer-innovator named Sonam Wangchuk's personality! The innovative school at the end of the movie actually exists irl! He's made it so that the school doesn't use any fossil fuel/ energy but purely solar energy. Very cool guy. Also, I first saw this movie when i was still in primary school, had a very huge impact on my young's self's life early on and this is my most favourite movie, really nothing else comes even close, personally. Nothing beats it in my opinion and I believe it's wildly famous in China, Korea and many Asian countries as well. I heard that for Koreans who enjoy and appreciate Indian culture and start watching bollywood movies, 3 Idiots is like always the most recommended and at the top of their watchlist for bollywood movies. Not sure how true it is but I do hear Koreans absolutely love this movie! Edit: also recommend watching Taare Zameen Par (eng title: Like Stars on Earth) it's the same actor, Aamir Khan!
Just a fun fact if you have watched "The Office" The guy who plays Chathur in this movie is the indian IT guy in that show... The guy who wears a turban
Three Idiots, a movie that changed the perspective of our education system. A movie that taught us to chase our dreams, to listen to our hearts, and to never give up. The movie's core message is that learning is not just about getting good grades or a high-paying job, but about understanding and enjoying the process. Rancho, Raju, and Farhan, three friends who embark on a journey to find their lost friend, discover the true meaning of life. They learn that success is not just about achieving milestones, but about living life to the fullest. The movie highlights the flaws in our education system, where students are pressurized to perform, and creativity is suppressed. It shows us that there's more to life than just academics. Three Idiots inspires us to be our true selves, to take risks, and to follow our passions. It reminds us that learning is a lifelong process, and that we should never stop exploring. The movie's message is simple yet powerful: 'Aal izz well' - all is well. Life is beautiful, and we should make the most of it. Let's take a cue from 3 Idiots and start living our lives with purpose, joy, and freedom. Great indeed.
"3 Idiots" had sparked discussions and debates about the flaws in the education system and the need for reforms to promote holistic development and individual growth . It had inspired educators, parents, and policymakers to rethink traditional teaching methods and focus on nurturing students' talents and passions .
oh man, I watched 3 Idiots when I was at uni, my last year, writing my diploma (after having put it off till the very last moment, like you do, thanks, ADHD), being depressed af - and the commentary on education in this film was a real wake up call. I'm not from India, but grades are valued way more than actual knowledge and the ability to learn in my country, too. so I watched this and was like, "...maybe I shouldn't be so hard on myself, huh"

What makes this movie even more special to Indian students is that the main lead is actually based on a real person called Sonam Wanchuk. He also has a school in Ladakh, the location of the climax and he is also an aclaimed scientist and innovator, in his field of climate appropriate innovations which also also very inclusive of the locals, especially for his contributions for Indian military stationed in that region. He also has a RUclips channel

Non-Hollywood films like "3 Idiots" are unafraid to dive into mixed genres. One moment you're laughing hysterically, and the next you're moved to tears. "RRR" seamlessly transitions from over-the-top action to drama, romance, and even dance sequences. "Parasite" from South Korea effortlessly shifts from comedy to horror. International cinema, rooted in genre tropes from the beginning of their film culture, has had ample time to perfect this craft.
Whaaaaaaaaaat can’t believe it! You made my day, Blind Wave. After being with you guys since the Arrow days, loving to FINALLY see content from my country on the channel. First RRR and now 3 Idiots. Thank you!

"give me another chance, i wanna grow up once again" hits me hard everytime bc God knows how many time i wish to restart me life, thinking that i should have tried harder at kindergarden.. then maybe my life would be different now.
Every location of this movie is real. The car was running on Himachal Pradesh road. Rancho's House was in Shimla. And the climax was shot in Pangong Lake, Leh Ladakh.

As an Indian, this movie never fails to make me cry. Getting parents support and approval in following your dreams is the most valuable thing for us.
@@harshitabhuyan8892 Yeah, you are right, it's correct for a fact. But what I said was about symbolism.
@@harshitabhuyan8892 good thing this is a movie and has a lot of symbolism throughout so this is actually a plausible interpretation
Since this is a Blind Wave crew - y'all gotta watch Andhadhun next!
Badum tiss
@@maithriswamy6054I didn't get the joke until I saw this comment 😅🙈
@@bingkosubu3152LAGAAN REALLY ??? they will be fuming after watching that 😂
@@lebroke918 Why?? it shows the reality of colonial india and the true face of british
Its message might be something that is not understanding to many Western audiences but hits wayyyy to close for many of us here.
holy smokes they actually saw this movie omg im going to set up food, drinks, open the youtube on tv, max vol with no lights turn on, ac to max and watch the reaction while eating.
perfect maahol
OMG! Watch Andhadhun if you tend to explore Indian cinema...its a musical masterpiece and highly acclaimed critically
Yes Yes ....🤩🤩 As a Blind wave fan from India, this is awesome. I was waiting for so long.
@@augxman Ya I understood later , 😅 that's why I deleted it . Some other reactors I used to watch thought that place was CGI ....so I assumed Calvin might have thought the same...
The location is not CGI. It's real
Never in my fucking life would I have expected Blind Wave to react to this. Absolute staple of my childhood, I'm so excited to get into this and see y'all experience it!
i like how this is categorized as a comedy but by the end all the guys reacting to it are crying🤣🤣🤣
So happy u guys watched this movie it is one of my absolute favourites ❤
Hope we don't have to wait nearly 2 years for the next indian movie reaction
we gotta run the views up on this
I think you guys should next watch Taare Zameen par. It also stars Aamir khan as the lead and he is also the director and producer. That movie delves into how a child who is labelled ' weird ' by teachers, and parents, struggles and how a teacher plays such an important role in a kid's life. Loved your guys' reaction
Finally!!! This is in my recommendations. 3 Idiots is one of the greatest films ever made.
The only movie which never bores me even after rewatching it for the 1000 times! A timeless classic.
I saw the notification and was in shock for a second, then i immediately clicked😂. This was so unexpected.
Visuals of The first song of the movie is not CGI... it's real location
they were talking about the car
Just a fun fact if you have watched "The Office" The guy who plays Chathur in this movie is the indian IT guy in that show... The guy who wears a turban
OMG 3 IDIOTS?! THEY REACTED TO MY FAVOURITE MOVIE!! D,:
As an indian, fan of Blind Wave for like the last 7 years, WTF. Never expected this, but this lifted my mood drastically.
Never been this shocked from seeing a thumbnail. So excited you guys watched this!
"All is well" was like a mantra back then after this movie came out
"3 Idiots" had sparked discussions and debates about the flaws in the education system and the need for reforms to promote holistic development and individual growth . It had inspired educators, parents, and policymakers to rethink traditional teaching methods and focus on nurturing students' talents and passions .
NO FREAKING WAY!!!
Cannot believe they watched it 🤯
I can't believe you watch blind wave too nona😂
@@DriftingMaze ofcourse I do buddy ofcourse I do
The last scene is Ladakh's Pangong lake.
oh man, I watched 3 Idiots when I was at uni, my last year, writing my diploma (after having put it off till the very last moment, like you do, thanks, ADHD), being depressed af - and the commentary on education in this film was a real wake up call. I'm not from India, but grades are valued way more than actual knowledge and the ability to learn in my country, too. so I watched this and was like, "...maybe I shouldn't be so hard on myself, huh"
I can’t believe you guys managed to include snippets of three of its songs. None of the other reaction channels I’ve seen included ANY songs, let alone most of them!
Also - “Would’ve gagged up his asshole!” took me out so 🤣🤣🤣
this movie was my teenage lol + im doing engineering so yeah, STILL CANT BELIVE YALL WATCHED IT 😭 from watching vinland, community, ben 10 and now 3 idiots yall covering my life omg
Watched this Jr year of college while getting mechanical engineering degree…. Hit me hard. I love this movie so much and it makes me so happy you all watched it.
Next "Andhadhun " Vote guys🤧
Watched this during my final year of college and it had such a huge impact in my life.
you dont understand how influential 3 idiots is to us indians when we were young we lauged ah their jokes now we grow up and understand them
This is in my top 5 movies and I’m so glad you are watching it!
Steven Spielberg holds this film in high regard. One of those rare 100% films on rotten tomatoes.
I'm from Philippines and when I was in HS our subject teacher actually made us watch this then our assignment was to write a reaction paper! I'm 25 now and only watched this movie once but I NEVER forgot the plot! ALL IS WELL!!
I am having trouble believing my eyeeees yessssss!
* Did not think a good sensible order (for bollywood) was possible for any reactors to follow after the way RRR exploded but you guys took your time (and are starting right) so I'd like to recommend you to complete the trio before going beyond so you know what you're walking into:
3 Idiots
My Name is Khan
Haider
3 series (for fun):
Family Man
Sacred Games
Mirzapur
This is from someone who's been here a while enjoy!
ps - I was 12 when this came out and I am delighted that it has broken Aaron as completely as it broke me.
Highly suggest “Dangal” very inspirational and “12th fail”. Both are grounded and not over the top and both are based on true stories. Highly recommend these two movies. Anyway glad you guys did have fun watching this movie.
Oh wow what a lovely surprise!! This is certainly one of my favorite movies of all time, saw it in the theatres when i lived back in India. It's not high art or whatever, but it never fails to make me laugh and smile. Looking forward to watching this :D
This is a great movie, and gave me lots of hope and new energy to live a life and another one is 'Chichore' these two just feels so related to me and millions of students. So it's so inspiring for us . One time i was end of the edge of my life then I came back from there.
THIS WAS VERY UNEXPECTED BUT OFC VERY HAPPY TO SEE IT!!
Wow this is a huge suprise lol.
You can watch DANGAL next if you want to
If anyone from outside India asks me to recommend an Indian film, without a doubt I have always recommended 3 Idiots. Without a doubt.
Whaaaaaaaaaat can’t believe it! You made my day, Blind Wave. After being with you guys since the Arrow days, loving to FINALLY see content from my country on the channel. First RRR and now 3 Idiots. Thank you!
I was 14 when this movie came out.. It literally changed our lives in a certain way.. I love this movie, loved this reaction❤..
You needed that movie to graduate from STEM school. Were it not for the movie, I doubt I would get that degree. When things were thick, I said AAL IS VELL! 😅
Just So You Know, the actor Who played silencer was also in The Office.
"give me another chance, i wanna grow up once again" hits me hard everytime bc God knows how many time i wish to restart me life, thinking that i should have tried harder at kindergarden.. then maybe my life would be different now.
THIS NOTIF MADE ME SO HAPPY. i was looking for this a while ago if you guys watched it, i love this movie so much!!
9:40 yeah you've seen that guy in The Office maybe 😂
54:47 the silence😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣
A lot of reactions have been done on 3 idiots, but yours is the one I would watch..
Y'all need to watch Taare Zameen Par and ZNMD
Every location of this movie is real. The car was running on Himachal Pradesh road. Rancho's House was in Shimla. And the climax was shot in Pangong Lake, Leh Ladakh.
In my decade of watching you guys, never thought you’d watch a Bollywood movie LOL
I never thought the day that I will be watching 3 idiots with blind wave. Please keep watching more Indian Films!
This movie inspired me to study mathematics seriously. Now I'm a Statistician.
The last scene is filmed in Ladakh region, India. It's not CGI.
OOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!
My fav movie reacted by my fav reactors on YT. I can't beleive you guys aredoin it.
This is the ONLY ONLY ONLY MOvie that I have watched more than 30 times since my childhood! and I am never bored NEVER NEVER NEVER!!
Im from shimla and everytime i watch this movie its nostalgic and somehow iv watched it more than 10 20 times . I just never get bored of it
Bro this was so unexpected !! 🤯🤯
Wow...!!! Blind Wave watching 3 idiots...!!! Just Wow...!! I hope you guys find the other Indian gems as well...
How did this happen? I've been asking for this for years. Never thought it would come.
Every 2 years i will rewatch it since 2015 just to remember my days and bromance.
Holly shit, i can't believe you're watching this! This is one of my favorite Indian movies... this is gonna be fun
Bro Just so you know there is no CGI is this. Every landscape is there in reality
I watched this movie so many times when I was young. Education is the biggest issue in life imho.
My family and I LOVE this movie!!!!!! So happy you reviewed it! Check out Main Tera Hero next! 😁
Holy Shit they did it! After RRR reaction you guys have said after that you want to do more Indian content but I thought you guys would never do it since how long it has been since then but finally!! I hope this isn’t a one off thing since there are so many amazing movies and shows that I want to see your reaction on!!
This was very surprising crew blindwave. Loved it!! I hope you watch the movie "PK" soon in the future!!
I wanted you guys to see this movie and you uploaded it instantly tf
Watched this when I was an Engineering student. Means alot!!!
I would definitely recommend 'Andhadhun' and 'Drishyam'. Best thrillers imo. You guys will absolutely love these movies knowing your taste in movies
As an Indian, this movie never fails to make me cry. Getting parents support and approval in following your dreams is the most valuable thing for us. Those who have it, cherish it and make the best use of it. Not everyone is lucky to have it. I couldn't follow the career i wanted for same reasons and believe me it feels pathetic and regretful everyday.
i hope they watch "taare zameen par" next oh god
