As long as it has SODIMM size, DDR4, and the speed of your current RAM, it will compatible You can check the specs of your current RAM in task manager and CPU Z as shown in the video

@@astavenrepulsive7048 I will explain bro when acer swift 3 comes 4gb ,amd anthlon cpu,amd radeon gpu its usable ram will be 3.1 out of 4..and dedicated vrm 524 mb something .. When I added 4gb more it was total 8gb ..usable ram was then 5.9 of 8..and dedicated vram was 2gb.. So I asked when 12gb is done then I think usable will be 8.1gb of 12 so that's I asked vram ..
@@astavenrepulsive7048 the main thing I noted when it wa 8gb 2gb vram it was able to run games like assassin's creed unity,star war jedi order and all so I think 12gb will give more performance..

The heavier the game and settings, more vram will be used I think it's normal you can play games like AC Unity and Star Wars because you upgrade your ram in the first place. And of course your vram usage will increasing since you play heavier games *In conclusion, don't expect to much when upgrading ram, your 8gb is enough for now

It's V-Gen DRR4 8Gb 2400MHz. If you multitasking a lot, use a lot of programs at the same time, I think it'll be worth it
