@@asim4843 Acer Swifr use low powered ram to save power. That basically means that it has 4266mhz, but since it's lpddr4, it runs at double down speed, so 2133mhz. You are always better with ddr4 than with lpddr4. One is faster and other uses less power, but if you use integrated gpu, better go with laptop with ddr4. Hope this helps! TL;DR - low powered 4266mhz (real 2133mhz), normal powered ram 3200mhz (real 3200mhz)

I just added an 8 gig to my swift 3 as well just now. What you said just happened to me and the screen won’t turn on even if I have given it enough time before force shutting it down. Help. 😐😐😐 Edit: it took me a re-installation of the ram, did what you’ve done of booting the power on with out the back cover and un hooked battery to the board. It finally worked! Thank you for this vid and your easy to understand, straight to the point tutorial!

This model has the empty area to add a 2.5" SSD like some of the other versions of this range. Looking at the PCB on mine it looks like Acer didn't add some of the needed components just above the socket where the lead to the SATA connector fits. Has anyone tried adding a SATA drive to this version ?

I did an ssd upgrade on the m.2 slot on my swift3 (before it was running windows on the hdd) but after doing windows 10 fresh install on the ssd, the laptop will sometimes get memory management error bsod upon restarting or waking up after sleep. Any suggestion on what to do? Any help would be much appreciated.

After going onto task manager without the upgrades my cpu speed is on 0.40Ghz. One of my buddies said that it would be useless to upgrade if my cpu is that far gone. Can someone help?

Worth noting that the spare 2.5" drive bay will not accommodate the thicker size of standard 2.5" HDD (15mm) only the two smaller sizes; 7mm and 9.5mm

By acer website the m.2 Ssd in this model is upgradable to 512gb.
Ram is upgradable to 12gb.
I finally started to try and disassemble my laptop for upgrade but I can't seem to remove the long screw that's on the middle.

Hi. As I stated in the video, this model does not ship with the hdd caddy. They are hard to find, but you should be able to get one from acer. Dale
