If 343 were to ever make an ODST game, I can imagine the title of it being Halo : Helljumpers.
Yeah and having that Medal of Honor Airborne mechanic of being able to drop anywhere on the map.

It's definitely worth getting back into. Especially with all the cool updates to Halo: The Master Chief Collection
going off of the other comment: theres also new mods like reach evolved. it is certainly the best time to get back in. halo using mouse and keyboard feels so nice

Well, Alpha Nine is now Spartan 4's, (consisting of Buck, Dare, Romeo, Dutch, Gretchen (Dutch's wife) and Mickey)
in which Mickey is something of a liaison between the URF and the UNSC during the events of Bad Blood , a really good story.

Oh yeah. I vote for one centered around the Rookie since he's the one who didn't become a Spartan V from Buck's squad, apparently.
And make a Halo game that is a lot more tactical with additional toys and features that would turn the odds in the player's favor--since, you know, ODSTs are badass, but they're badass normal.
Make it about the Rookies last mission and when Alpha Nine's last time together

The soundtrack on this Halo is my favorite of all time. Neon Night might be one of the best game tracks I've ever. I like to listen to it when I go on long walks
The ODST Campaign was so pleasant. So much detail, so beautifully composed, yet feeling so somber the whole time.
I’m really curious as to what these end segments are setting up. If it’s taking place around the time of Halo 4 then I doubt it’s for Halo Infinite. Maybe setting up a new book, or some background for Shadows of Reach?
I don’t know but unless they’re gonna port Halo 5 over to PC we only have 1 more game coming and 1 more ONI Archive to wrap this up, supposedly.
Let’s see what happens.

ODST's are the most badass entities in Halo.
Spartans obviously have them beat as physical units, but thats what makes ODST's special. They are just people, men and women who know they are just people hurtling towards hell.

An ODST for almost every halo game would be cool. Filling in backstory to certain parts just as halo 3 ODST accomplished.

Amazing, ODST is literally my childhood but i STILL listen to the soundtrack a lot.
Back in the mid / late 2000s, my group of friends in high school used to call ourselves "The Helljumpers". We would wear leather jackets and sunglasses, and use the "Spartan" handshake as our gang sign hahaha. Thinking about it now feels so cringe, but we were all a bunch of Halo fans with a common love and respect for the ODSTs. Ahhh, the good ol' days :)
does anyone else think it's strange that there is no level in ODST where you get to play as Dare and see how she got to where rookie finds her in game?

Her mission was secret right? so maybe they tried to stop players from seeing what she was doing to help set up the plot. i don’t know just a guess
I find it weird you play as Dutch and Buck twice but Romeo and Mickey only once.

@@Lattidude To be fair, Romeo got beat to dirt in his mission, wouldnt really be fun to run around with a hole in your chest and no weapon.
And Mickey and Dutch spend most of Kinkowani Station in a Phantom so...

So much better in odst. Definitely one of my favorite characters in the halo universe.
Gunny is only a nickname because he used to be a Gunnery Sergeant, which he hasn’t been in the lore for years. Wouldn’t make sense to call him that anymore.

Reach and odst have great soundtracks. Reach still has that sort of classic halo while adding in some real sadness and odst just has that beautiful noir jazz. If I had to choose one I'd probably go with odst but I love them both.

Maybe Sergeant Johnson, due to Virgil questioning, whichever one of the ODSTs joined the Insurrection in the books. Maybe even the creator of Virgil or his daughter. They'd definitely know

Don’t forget Halo Helljumper was a web series on RUclips that came out about 10 years ago. The show had two episodes and was set to make and release a third and fourth episode when production was paused due to “lack of funding”. They then created a crowd funding page where they received over $70,000 for costumes and props... The year is now 2020, almost 2021 and we haven’t heard anything from the director Dan Wang or the cast from Helljumper. No apology, explanation or refunds as far as I’m aware and definitely no episodes 3 or 4..

Mickey perhaps? The mysterious stranger's codename is fixer, but Mickey is the complete opposite considering he is a demolition expert.
According to Halopedia, Fixer was in some of the extras from Halo Nightfall, meaning all these things are probably related to Nightfall. So, looks like he's just an old kinda throwaway character
