the fact that you can get a 7” OLED, with customizable joycons, play games like bio shock, red dead redemption, batman etc on the go without internet, are able to play 2 players anywhere or you can use the dock and play at home. cheap storage makes this one of the best deals today. got my mario edition oled for $240 new
Wow, and yea I agree it is one of the best consoles right now. But I don’t understand why other people compare it to other consoles by playing Fortnite etc which is meant for Xbox and PS but they don’t play games the switch is meant for, fun games like Zelda, Mario etc.
I actually bought a Switch OLED earlier today when out with my nephew. I still have my original Switch (which I'm keeping as a backup), but the OLED is definitely a worthy upgrade.
I got a Switch Mario Red OLED when Super Mario Wonder came out. So not quite 2024 but I got it recently. I don’t regret it. It’s a great experience. I play handheld more than I did before. And it’s not like we are getting a next gen console in 2024 anyway. And the Switch library is large already.
Getting a switch today.. decided against the lite purely because I can be a bit heavy handed sometimes and know if I wreck the joysticks it’s done for.. atleast with the other models I can replace the controls.. and for extra $50 may aswell go for the oled I guess
Depends on who you are. Some people rather just get one of those overpriced handhelds such as the Steam Deck, ROG Ally, and Lenovo Go for those state-of-the-art PC titles. Switch is still standing strong with its exclusives.
I highly recommend not analysing it. While we play and are engaged it won't be noticeable. The games look great and once in the experience it won't matter.
I'm definitely gonna try to get a Switch Oled myself in a couple of weeks for Easter. I had the Switch Lite since Christmas 2021 & although I still love that console, I got bored of it almost quickly & I came to realization that it wasn't really what I wanted in terms of portability if that makes any sense. At least when I get the Switch Oled, it'll give me more options. Also, I know that everyone will say "Just wait until the Switch 2 is announced", but that more than likely won't be announced until some time next year anyway. So, I think now would be a good time to get the Switch Oled if you're looking for a new Switch like I am.
Thank you I can't really decide which handheld gaming console I should buy this month actually this is my first time to buy a handheld gaming console, That's why it's very hard for me to decide, I am looking for an All in one package deal, so this video game all the reasons why should I get the Nintendo Switch Oled because this all I've been looking for and it still a good buy for this year 2024. So thank you for making this kind of review, very clear and informative, very helpful. So thank you, I'm your new subscriber and a fan from the Philippines. By the way your handsome too 🤭👏🫶❤️🤟
Just like the Nintendo Switch has exclusives, there are a lot of games I wouldn't have been able to play without my Steam Deck. (gaming PCs are too expensive) Hi-Fi Rush, Psychonauts 1 and 2, Pizza Tower, FF7 Remake, Tales of Arise...new games like Shasingo, early access like Slime Rancher 2...the list goes on.
If you're not traditional console lover, and used to playing mobile game or PC game, just buy Steam Deck. People who are used to playing Mobile or PC game usually complain much about Frame Rates, etc. Me never playing mobile game or PC game, only play console game. so for me Nintendo Switch is very good.
Nice video! Agree with all your comments. Personally, I puchased my OLED a couple days ago, being an owner of the Lite since 2020 as I wanted the option to play in docked mode. I have absolutely no regrets and love that I now have complete flexibility in how I can game! However, I can also understand why existing OG Switch users may not see this as a worthwhile investment in terms of graphical performance and decide to wait out for the Switch 2 (if one can overlook the worthy upgrades you've mentioned, including the beautfil OLED display, better battery life, storage and kick stand etc). Personally, I side with your view that the OLED is definitely worth investing and I love mine!
Hopefully I'll get this for Christmas. I always wanted a Switch and given the fact I'm an adult with a job now I can save some money every month after I get my paycheck and get it on December I really really can't wait ^^
Newbie question - Do you know if all games for Nintendo Switch require the online membership? Are the games like iPhone games where in order to move forward you have "In-app purchases?" I miss the times where you can play a FULL Game through without a subscription or in-app purchases.
Should I get an Oled switch in the upcoming black Friday deals (guessing around £250) or should I just wait for Switch 2 (but wont be till at very least March/April 2025) Do white joy cons help show colours off better for the Oled switch?

Graphics and performance is much worse unless playing a 1st party game. The flat controllers are horrible. If they fix this in Switch 2 then great, otherwise I me rather pay more for a Steam Deck.
i know there is gonna be a lot of people saying well🤓👆you should wait for the switch 2 well after seeing the ps5 pro just just the switch oled it’s fine
