Hej Todderbert thanks for the the bandscan yes the XHDATA D-109 is i great radio love mine XHDATA D-109 the model I have is without the weather band but planning to buy the weather band version also. Live in sweden but nice to have the weather band if I gonna travel to the US or Canada but yes I also recommend the XHDATA D-109 and the weather band version all day long. But of course there are better radios for shortwave but the XHDATA D-109 is a nice radio and Wow I love the speaker sound take care Todderbert and have a nice saturday.
They are most likely identical. Expect similar performance. The Kaito T-1 wire is a bit thicker which may last longer strung up outdoors for extended periods.
@@todderbert Amazon has the Kaito at $13 just now. The xhdata an-80 is at $8.30 so it’s really about which one works better. Or lasts better. I’ll shoot a dart at the wall! lol

Nice little radio for the first time listener. It actually has quite a bit to it, doesn’t have SSB but still nice for average listeners.

Well that's interesting. My original version D-109 doesn't have the DX/Local switch. Thanks Todd!
They seemed to have worked on a fix for the MW breakthrough. It seems to do well in this case.
Perché non fabbricano una radio che quando ci sono segnali da ham passa automaticamente sulle SSB?
Does this really pickup radio stations from like 600 miles away?
Yes, and it can even reach thousands of miles with Shortwave reception.
Are there ways to filter the AM/MW band out of the wire with a capacitor or a coil?
With a band pass filter, or high pass filter on MW.
Do you have any thoughts on the Xhdata an-80 antenna wire vs what you are using? Thx

Muito top um bom rádio parabéns…
2,500 KHz (2.5 MHz), 5,000 KHz (5 MHz), 10,000 KHz (10 MHz), 15,000 KHz (15 MHz), and 20,000 KHz (20 MHz) are WWV/H (probably Fort Collins, CO). WWV/H are time stations, operated by NIST.
Tenho um muito bom
great
No SHOT you could get either WNG689 or WXK24 without a tropo, try these during a day without a tropo
