Overall, the new D-109WB is Decent on the Medium Wave Band, with just a few Birdies that can be Easily removed by Using the Terk to De-Tune them. The D-109WB does so much for the money, that it is easy to recommend for anyone getting started in the hobby, or wants to upgrade from a lower cost receiver.

Dear channel owner, please I have an important question. According to your experience and expertise, what is the best radio that you recommend to me? I want to buy, but I am confused?
I like this little radio and think it's worth the extra $10 over the original to get the weather band. The speaker is very good for it's size and the bluetooth works well if I want to listen to a podcast or music off my phone.

I have this radio, and when connected to a Kaito/Tecsun AN-100 external loop antenna, the MW reception is outstanding!
That doesn't have any control over the MW band

Big fan of your reviews. Two fun observations. I live 50 minutes from Toronto and love it when you hit 740 Zoomer radio during your radio reviews. You skipped over it this time...lol Also, when you hit the station playing the Queen song, sounded like you were about to say f*ck, because you wanted to hear the song...lol... Great reviews.
