+holty1234567890 yes i get what you mean whit dragon age inquisition i think they are more comrades in arms then actuale friends. the only time where they acted as friends was at a game of cards. this dragon age really makes you feel for the carracters
well just pray that one day they might make the other game (even though I felt Inquisition could've been a nice way to end the series) like DA:O, also I hope they do an HD remake of this game for new gen consoles like how they're making an HD remake for the Arkham series!
Still one would have expected that maybe chemistry between characters would be a bit better as the series went...but somehow it feels like after origins the party always was sort of...divided in a sence Take 2 for instance, when you hear your party banter with one another you can tell at first they might not be best buds, but they grow into each other...and yet somehow the party is always divided to a certain extent. Take Merrill for instance, you can tell Isabella and Varric adore her, while other members grow closer to her...and yet one member of the group seems to outright bully her at times, Fenris, while another constant tries to be a nail on her side to the point he seems to make her mad, Anders, and another outright considers betraying her while pretending to be all nice and charming with her, Sebastian I dunno, it just feels like in later games somehow the party was a bit more fractured, I dunno, I just never got the feeling that anyone in your party would outright turn their back on you or betray you unless given a reason, and it kinda felt like despite certain tensions, everyone cared for one another and despite argues they would watch each other's back
yea it is a shame that the DA2 and DAI didn't really live up to the expectations, DA origins has the best characters, story, epic boss fight and everything that makes a RPG masterpiece. Bioware has alot to learn from the Witcher trilogy.

This closeness and interaction between the companions is what I miss the most. It just doesn't sit well with me when Leliana doesn't even congratulate me on getting it on with Josephine or when the only thing she has to say about Morrigann is that she is deceiving. C'mon Lels. We know you have opinions and we wanna hear them all
I think the explaination for her behaviour in Inquisition is that she is supposedly a very, very, very hardened Leliana that got forced to do some very shady shit for the Chantry after Origins XD...still that kind of bothered me, I mean you travelled with this lady to stop the Blight and the best you can say is "Oh she is decieving" and when you two meet you don't say anything? not even a hi? XD
It's bullshit how even if you have Aliistir, Morragin and Leilana together at Skyhold there are no meaningful interactions between the three of them besides a few throwaway comments. Those three were my main party during Origins and I wanted a bit more than that.

So I romanced Morrigan and got a reaaal kick out of all of my companions side-eyeing us and throwing shade (and Wynne coming around is adorable, she's such a grandma, Alistair is so right). Buuuut dear god the dialogue involving the Alistair romance is also some of my favourite, it's too funny.

Funny enough even with the disposition negatives for doubt all the altruism you still end up with an abundance of disposition cap for her if you arent going out of your way to insult her. A lot of what she says is pure pragmatism, it's fair counsel. It's also a good foil because you cant have 2 skeptics in the same room. Basically she has doubts so you dont have to. Also you know if you do something particularly outrageously stupid shell be outraged as opposed to just saying "this doesnt serve you". Like when you refuse to do the ritual shes really mad because you're screwing both you and her, she doesnt get her old soul child and you die killing the arch demon, literally all you had to do was lie on your back and let her get you off before the battle and you survive a hero. You could argue maybe she had evil plans but shes generally fair minded if nothing else. Like honestly if you take away flemeths crap, I'd want more women to be like her, cuz at her core shes a decent woman. Shes too strong to be abused or taken advantage of and shes capable of genuine love when presented with a man of clear integrity.

At least not by profession. The fact that I normally make Wynne's second spec Blood magic and Morrigan's spirit healing lends the scene a certain irony. One time Wynne started a conversation with my character. "So, you're quite taken with her, aren't you?" And my options included "Do you mean me and Morrigan?" "Do you mean me and Leliana?" And suddenly I was like "Well, well, well, if it isn't my old friend the dawning realization that I fucked up, real bad." Morrigan's responses are actually way less judgmental than Wynne's. "I think you're fucking up, but you do you, or him/her, rather." Wynne's response to the Morrigan-Warden Make-out session "Hmph. Such childish antic's." Warden-Alistair session "*Chuckles* Ah, young love." Mind you, Sten's reactions balance things out. And Zev is such a bro.

He stopped me in Denerim and asked for me to choose between him and Alistair. I screamed and was blushing like mad during the entire situation.
I remember when I received wynne's 'concerned' speech about Alistair for the first time. Her preachy way of approaching the situation just got under my skin, and I promptly gave her the slobber covered cake the dog found... I giggled far more than i should have when I got +1 Approval.
Can I just say that I like leliana when she comments on the male wardens romance with Zevran very positive. That's what I like about leliana she is so cute and caring.
I dunno, I liked the DA:O and DAII Cast so the DA:I cast should far pretty well. I mean Leliana, Varric, Cullen and Cassandra are returning characters with followings. Though those poor tables, Cassandra needs to lay off on stabbing them so much.

And then they sprang that taint+taint= no kids crap. Now when I listen to it.. she's right. And it has so many feels because she was right, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I love Alistair, even when things are traffic. I have a lot more perspective now and I appreciate what she was trying to say more now.

Played as a male trying to romance Leliana once, it was kind of awkward. With her like bar at 100% she still seemed stand offish, even after kissing her. So I never tried again in replays but I got the romance achievement trophy.😁
Man seeing all these comments saying DA2 and Inquisition missed this closeness confuse me. I barely thought any of the companions were my friends( except for Alistair ), much less close to each other. They all seemed so emotionless. The banter wasn't any better, it TRIED to be funny and natural but instead it came as boring and sometimes creepy. Same with DA2. In my opinion Inquisition did it best, the characters actually look like friends and the banter, oh my god, the banter, to me was the best part of the whole game, it just felt so natural. Anyway this is just my opinion, please don't hate on me.

Kind of disappointed Alistair barely says anything about a Male Warden and Zevran romance. I mean I guess its a good thing that he doesn't mind the gays lol, but he just says 'oh yeah I noticed, anyway moving on!'

Played as a male trying to romance Leliana once, it was kind of awkward. With her like bar at 100% she still seemed stand offish, even after kissing her. So I never tried again in replays but I got the romance achievement trophy.😁

Man seeing all these comments saying DA2 and Inquisition missed this closeness confuse me. I barely thought any of the companions were my friends( except for Alistair ), much less close to each other. They all seemed so emotionless. The banter wasn't any better, it TRIED to be funny and natural but instead it came as boring and sometimes creepy. Same with DA2. In my opinion Inquisition did it best, the characters actually look like friends and the banter, oh my god, the banter, to me was the best part of the whole game, it just felt so natural. Anyway this is just my opinion, please don't hate on me.
