There are many cities in Canada that have certain aspects that are incredible, which they may surpass Toronto in and, depending on the person, that will make that city more liveable for them. That was why I said many Canadians may be indifferent about the ranking because they find their city more preferable. It doesn't take away from Toronto whatsoever, I was just mentioning why some Canadians may be content where they live and won't be afraid to give Toronto some jabs haha.
I think because of how unaffortable and unsafe our public transit and the city has gotten, basically construction everywhere, congestion, our political leaders, housing crisis, too many immigrants, homelessness and tents elsewhere(mostly in parks) and ofcourse the famous most delayed eglinton crosstown. Honestly to me it just makes me mad people love to make toxic comments about how "shithole" it really is when in reality it's still a beautiful city with a strong culture. I think people just think about the negativity as an excuse. But for me, I have hopes for this city to get better in the near future.
