I'm going to give a POV of a regular train rider. If you are riding on anything old right now, like an R46 or some of the R68s, you may welcome a new train. So, at least the new trains will be (hopefully) more reliable. They'll appreciate the clear announcements. However, the 211 will have a major problems that people will NOT like. These trains have very reduced seating. Compared to an R46 they really don't sit too many. It's fine for rush hour, but off-hours, people aren't going to like it. They also have reduced glass. The doors are wider but not the glass in the doors. And the windows between the doors are smaller. If you are used to an R179 or R160, these trains aren't all that different. A bullet in front and changing the pole color to yellow and positioning of the FINDs and such, they still have an overall NTT, R143 based look.
