started skating in 2005 in a shitty little countryside in Germany and this video/part was on loop on our dvd-player. It was a huge inspiration for us. still one of my favourite parts for sure !
The two parts in Germany were filmed in Cologne. The red rail is at the university mensa. The second scene is at the famous "Domplatte" next to the cathedral.
Damn this makes my heart happy seeing my favorite skater talk on all his banger ass classics I grew up on feeding off of to go skate every single day back then 🔥
Can somebody tell this guy best part. I would watch this time and time again.. plus seen him in a demo everything first t . True legend blew my mind in videos and in demos.
The Sorry and Really Sorry video's along with Baker 3 are my all time favorite skate videos and I'd watch them all the time to hype me up before a skate sesh.
MA - you give the world of SB'ing humility and levity that is both welcome and imperative, you crazy canadian. Gratitude. And you drunk.......................................................::::::::::::::::::::::
Still psyched on the 50-50 kink rail. Grew up there seeing that rail everyday and he's not kidding about the roll up it's quite possibly the worst bumpy, cracked, earthquaked asphalt ever.
Love these videos. Brings me back to the good old days when skating was real, photography was real and video was real.( if you know, you know...) But would love to hear about their fashion too! why did they dress like this back then and who inspired them, if they were. I really liked Marc Johnson and Jamie Thomas's fashion back in da day.
Haven't watched this yet but was really wanting to ask Mr. Appleyard about the switch mongo throw down before the switch front bigspin at the spot with brick landing zone. It is something you never see, and done flawlessly.
@@elliottwoods5636 that’s my personal opinion that is not up for debate. Mark Appleyard has and forever will be my favourite skateboarder that ever walked the earth. To me his style and character is unmatched and no other individual has brought me as much enjoyment or excitement in skateboarding the way his video parts have.
I remember buying this the day it came out at my local skateshop (shoutout borderline RIP) it was at the mall m I opened it when I was at the food court right after I bought it, and the disc was loose in the case all scratched n fucked up!..so after I ate I went back to the shop to show them the situation, n they started fucking with saying "oh shit, well that's too fucking bad" (I was the little kid who came in way too often n hung around wayyy too long lol so all the guys knew me n started fucking with me on purpose.. finally they were like "FIIIIIINNE here u go" gave me n fresh one n threw the fucked up copy in the trash lol. kids nowadays wouldn't know anything about having to actually go BUY A DVD of the new skate videos!!! I think the last few dvds I bought were baker 3, dvs skate more, forecast, first love, zero new blood, blind what if, almost round 3,n fully flaired those were the last batch of dvds i can think of (there were alot more im forgetting) that I actually paid for n had a physical copy that I could hold in my hand..the good Ole days!
Such an iconic part. Seen this like 1000 times 😂
Forever thank you for your contributions to skateboarding Mark
One of my favorite parts/skaters of all time. Gotta get Arto breaking down his parts as well!
That era of Flip was incredible. Three Soty winners plus PENNY!Great to hear his stories behind this part, forever a fan!

I still get chills watching these parts. So good

At 5:51 that jump over the pole and sex change all while landing back on his board and riding away was too damn smooth. You the man Mark.
The thing about it too was that it was completely unexpected, his body was blocking the pole which made it even sicker!
He made it look way too easy. Like everything he does.

The commentating is actually funny. “Yeah, alright, that was nice, damn I was crazy”! Lol
The Sorry and Really Sorry video's along with Baker 3 are my all time favorite skate videos and I'd watch them all the time to hype me up before a skate sesh.
I had this magazine. one my favorite skaters of all time!!!!!
That was a beautiful piece of skateboarding, best I've seen in many years ❤
That shit you watched every day before you go skating. Got mad love for mr. Appleyard🙏🏽
One of the best to step foot on a board. Made some money skating and bought his mom a house. Appleyard is a living Legend.
Hi nine club! Please try to get Arto Saari to your awesome show. I will never get bored to hear stories about this Flip-Sorry era🤗
Yeahh Mark!!Thank you forever man!!
3:36 that was Rancho Market Gap in Santa Ana. My favorite skater growing up! Still is cuz he’s been ripping
I started skating in white shoes back then just because of Apples and the MA707! Iconic part. And iconic video.
These videos make every session feel more special 🫡🫡
love this guy. I once descibed him as Recklessly Chill in my old skateshop. everyones jaw dropped. they never heard it summed up so perfectly
Recklessly chillin. Luv that
That's fucking genius
Mark is buzzin and sounds like he smokes a pack of reds a day.
I wish he spoke more on the kickflip bs tail big spin . Shit is iconic!
I think Tom Penny shaking his head in disbelief said everything!
You the man Mark! This part and your Sorry! part are iconic
Thanks for the shout out @2:22

Sick af! ❤ love marks skating. Wore the sorry VHS out. This is the part that won soty

This part of appleyard is perfect amazing !
It really was the main skateboarding film of that era that stuck with me... Along with "That's Life" and "Menikmati"
This was amazing.
Amazing!! Can’t wait for the next one!
This is my childhood right here, Flip were absolutely killing the 2000s!
He’s the coolest dude
MA - you give the world of SB'ing humility and levity that is both welcome and imperative, you crazy canadian. Gratitude. And you drunk.......................................................::::::::::::::::::::::
I can't get over how much appleyard looks like Paul scheer, especially when he talks and smiles lol
This was definitely a top video to watch before going skating. Still is.
Honestly convinced Mark can refilm this part if he really wanted to
"Thats funny that they paused it right there" 😂😂
My local shop Shop was DMBC! 🤘👽🤘👽🤘👽
Thanks for clarifying the kaka fyasko
I Love You Mark Appleyard❤
Thank You For Inspiring Me and All Skateboarders Around the Globe.

Is he suddenly drunk in this one? Lol
Mark is a f*cking living legend
He’s definitely got a buttery style
These are the best
finally we got the answer to the fecal riddle
I’ve always wanted to know where that rail at 4:44 is. He did back tail shuv. Been seeing that spot in videos for years
1:45 that’s the hubba that Torey switch flip crooked in “Bigger Bang” I believe? He mentioned how fucking hot it gets where that spot is located
Can't wait
Appleyard was the goat at that point
I had no idea that the 💩 was Appleyards! Thats F’ing Hilarious 🤣 I thought they found it as they pulled up to the spot! Hahahahaha 🤘🤣
DOUBLE PRIMO!!!
I’ll never forget that heelflip
The place he got the ticket is the El Cajon Courthouse in SD it got a police station next door. Broke my elbow trying to fboard slide on that rail.
Still psyched on the 50-50 kink rail. Grew up there seeing that rail everyday and he's not kidding about the roll up it's quite possibly the worst bumpy, cracked, earthquaked asphalt ever.
I’m pretty sure that cover of transworld was the first one I ever bought. Love Appleyard
Epic 😎
Nollie cab lol....Marks awesome
As Mark gets older his smile resembles Grosso’s a lot.
💙
Please do extremely sorry too!
Apps, Baby, Apps!
That hubba is still there ! Torey switch flip crook
same back smith from Sorry he was psyched on?!?!?
Who came up with the songs
someone please find out mark's actual wheelbase!
him and torey pudwill's wheelbase are like skateboarding's biggest secret

Would you rather have Appleyard's crookeds or back smiths? I can never decide.
I guess mark is really sorry about that poopie
What a blessing Steezus Crist no longer has a platform ❤
These are rad.
That diffuser in the shot is super distracting
Please do one on Extremely Sorry too. PLEASE.

You never see switch front bigspins..??
@@toneohm no bro, the sw Mongo throwdown
*spoiler alert - "ooo, that is a switch mong, switch mongo push, but hey, nobody gave a fuck"
Enjoy your youth, people.
Hands done greatest skate part ever filmed
that's a bold statement homie. just in this video alone i feel like we could argue over PJ, Penny, Bastien, or Apples.

it really was the golden age of skateboarding. It really isnt what it used to be
Shout out to Hole and Courtney Love 😘!
I heard he would put a cut off tongue behind the tongue in his shoes 👟
Gramps spinning his yarns lol. Nah Mark still a killer though.
Ashton Kutcher 🎉
Didnt Greco take a shit on a spot? Like, so someone else wouldn't skate it?
i wonder if FLIP payed for all their skating tickets, trespassing fines, etc... i would hope so...
Awesome. Love the format and idea of these videos
I had no idea Mark Appleyard was this funny. He's like the Matthew McCaughany of Skateboarding. Maybe mixed with Mitch Hedberg or something.
Such a bummer that skaters act like they are 90 years old once they hit late thirties or 40. Like dude your still young go skate some nar shit again
He's still killing it, though
This is some budget ass shit
I hope you're really sorry
