Reminds me of my dear friend hope. I knew her in college her and a few other friends lived in this apartment complex all neighbors. It was genuinely the happiest days of my life close friends all just met and becoming closer. It was a lot of fun no doubt. I remember her asking me charlie how are u so happy all the time. It caught me off guard we just left the beach heading back to hang at her place. I couldnt understand what there wasnt to be happy about in those days. Well she took her life after awhile. She was a beautiful girl Who never figured out how to live. It really crazy how deep mental health can run.

The ending 🤣Have always enjoyed Stefan's skate parts, his energy and enthusiasm, and his one of kind laid back style. How epic is it to be like, "I skate with Guy Mariano." Feels like a dream, and his story seems almost too good to be true. One critique is that despite not seeing darker sides of people, does not mean that they don't exist, and that it is normal to go through depression or addiction often linked to trauma. I understand that this is not what is being directly stated, however it made me feel that because people have not seen Stefan go through these areas, this slightly insinuates that if you can be a human that does not go through depression or addiction, you are on another level than other humans and this may explain your "success." My last thought; growing up in skateboard culture at a young age and watching Epicly later'd "later" in life has been pure joy to break through what is behind the lives of our favorite skateboarders and to peer inside the skateboard world beyond skate parts. Hugely appreciate the work of Patrick O'Dell and those that have brought these stories to life.

Started skating, snowboarding, and bmxing/mtb dirt jumping, which I honestly chose over skating only because I'm way better with bikes. Like I can ride a skateboard... But I can't do all the things on one like I see in my mind like i can with bikes. It takes too much effort and ability 😂

I was moving on from my Dyrdek DC shoe obsession when the first Zoom Janoski pair came out and that led me into a Nike SB shoe obsession. My favorite Nike SB right now is the Nyjah 2.0 and it's ONLY because it reminds me of this shoe, but somehow even more comfy and stylish? It has a great grip like the Janoski's too. They're the only two shoes I wear to skate now, its nice that Nike as a brand is still focused on making shoes for function.

Still have the pair of Janoski's that I bought when I was 17, I'm almost 27 now. I worked at a Nike store for my first job, we got some blue on white Janoski's in and I immediately loved them, got my discount and paid like $40 for them, insane nowadays. Have been a staple of mine the whole time. Starting to get a bit worn but I'll wear them till they fall apart, and then ill fix them and keep wearing them. Such a simple shoe that works with any outfit for almost any occasion, still comfy as hell all these years later, feels like I'm not wearing a shoe because I'm so used to them. Had a kid I worked with a couple years ago say, "dude are those Janoski's?" and I said hell yeah they are, I've had them since you were in elementary school lol. Had no idea who Stefan was when I bought them, just knew he was a skater but that's it, now I know he is a pretty fucking cool dude.

Excellent episode! I loved all of his old Habitat parts and wondered what happened to him. He seemed like he kind of disappeared at the peak of his skills. Cool to see him doing well!

The first time i saw Mosaic his part blew me away, i had never seen a part from him before and was not expecting it to be so good, so fluid such good style.

Damn, that's crazy. Janoski was behind the etnies Faction!? I loved that shoe growing up! And then eventually came to love the Janoski. I always raved about how etnies should bring back the Faction to help revive the brand, but damn that's so cool that Janoski was behind it.

I remember doing more than 20 consecutive flatground nollie flips wearing Nike Janoskis back in 2012.
They truly felt like gloves on my feet, especially a few weeks after I started wearing them. I've never experienced the same feeling with any other skate shoes.

Love O’Connor’s style! He has such a magnetic looking catch. There’s guy’s that do INSANE tricks, like Jeff Song, his board just falls as it flips, he lands on it. The Catch is poetry in motion

Awesome man, I missed the Shoe sale, but all round skate the rippa. If people talk like that about you, you are spreading love homie. Smile and the whole world smiles with you, cry and you cry alone. "I think he figured out how to live early on", gold, big up to all the kings in this docu!
