Every 6 months or so I Google/RUclips "Mike Mo." I used to wish for a comeback. I suppose we all did. It is so cool to see that he has peace with the past. Such a humble dude.
You and me both brother, favourite style ever. I still watch bros day in the life videos every once in a while. Always felt like Mo would be the coolest pro to just kick it with haha seems so fun
Man, this is my golden era peak right here. It’s weird you can just feel the vibe back then. it’s indescribable, weird how you cant recreate that feeling.
I love Mike mo man .. just hope he knows that when this part and video came out, my friends and I watched it at least 400-500 times.. not over exaggerating. I'm 30 now and just watched the whole thing again and it takes me right back to my parents basement when all we cared about was skating and girls and watched this video every night cause it was just the best .. thanks Mike mo and all the lakai dudes.
i dedicate every single trick that i've done on flat to Mo. His skate was everything in my mind back in mine young times. The Modern skateboarding suffer soo much with some losses of futures that even never happened . Mike mo's injury, Lewis Marnell, Shane Cross, Dylan Rieder, so many talent and skate love was ended on tragic shit. today i skate for all my idols who can't skate anymore and i will enjoy every shit that i will get through skateboarding
Fully Flared was such a turning point in the production quality of skate videos. It forever changed what I thought a skateboarding video could be. And at the end of the day it got the whole squad hyped to go skate. Instant classic.
@@BrownBear636 Yeah Right was definitely a game-changer. High production value, green screens, celebrity cameos, etc. I hadn’t seen anything like it before. Fully Flared was like the final culmination of what Yeah Right had established.
This part was so beyond it’s time when it came out.I’ll always remember watching it for the first time. I even commented on his MySpace at the time and he responded back. I was so stoked as a kid that he responded back to me.
Goddamn, you guys NEED to do more of these. It’s like getting to sit and talk with your favorite skater about your favorite parts, a literal dream come true.. This part blew me away back when it dropped, shit was just so technical, clean, and he want big..
Such an inspiration for everyone.. 1st time I hear him talking about coming back or something, he wants to be back and it shows.. I hope that day will come soon Mike!
Holy shit. This is a blast from the past. I remember buying this DVD in college, working at Safeway, back when I never wanted to be at home and just wanted to skate from sunrise til sunset.
I will never forget, one of the best things ever was being at the skatepark practicing some huge back bigspins on a hip and having the Girl Team, specifically Mike, cheer me on. I'm literally older than him by 3 years but this was in 2010 or so. That was a good time.
Best style ever! I remember replaying that slow-mo switch flip before the huge explosion just to admire how perfectly done it was... Mike Mo has always made me think thay skateboarding is a beautiful thing 🤘😎
The most influential skate video of my teenage years. Feeling uninspired just throw it on and bam so much inspiration. Thank you Mike and Lakai. I still watch this from time to time and reminisce on the greatest part of my life. Skateboarding is my first true love along with many others in this thread I imagine and it’s something you can’t describe to people who never have felt the rush of finally landing a trick you’ve practiced for hundreds of hours
I only started skating 4-5 years ago so this is way before my time but mannn the emotion I felt from watching fully flared (especially the intro and mike mo's part) is still unmatched to this day, I don't think any other skate content could make me feel that way again. Mike Mo's style has def also had the biggest influence on my style over the years and I've watched fully flared so many times to the point where I almost don't wanna watch it again
Fully flared was the first ever skate vid I bought on dvd and I still own it till this day and this video has made me sit down and rewatch the whole thing! Thank you nine club
one of the best parts to have come out...the way Mike can speak of his past and his accident with humility is fascinating. Wishing this dude well. Love that he still rocks Girl gear. I rock pure Lakai at 29 thanks to this video; I only bought cheap discount nikes in my teens. Now I'm doing what I couldn't as a teen! lol
I can't listen to No Cars Go without thinking about Mike Mo's Fully Flared part lol. Hands down one of the best skateboarding parts in the history of skateboarding.
Mike, I totally relate to the nerve damage. Hernia surgery was botched and they cut my nerves at my waist but the pain is in my right leg, feels like a knife is stuck in my leg 24/7. And I get the random electric shocks through out the day. I still skate mini ramp a little but if you ever get an offer for experimental neeve repair, sign me up. Lol
wow.. this segment just completely blew my mind. Loved getting all this insight on the part from the man himself; Mike Mo's part and FF was such a mainstay in my childhood, it only brings back good memories and vibes. The older I get, the more I realize what a beautiful creative endeavor Fully Flared was and remains still
This video part was one of the most talked about. Mike Mo will always leave the impact of how skateboarding can be influenced. Any new footage of Mike will make our day.
Fully Flared came out back in 2007. Miss that time man. I was in 10th grade when it came out. All I did back then was skate during the day, and play halo 2 and halo 3 during the night. Mike mo will always be one of my favs. His style was amazing!
hands down my favorite skater back then and still to this day. best style flatground and street and was always funny as fuck. hated seeing his career end the way it did but youll always be remembered as one of the most influential professional skateboarders
That yelling mid-air thing when skating gaps/stairs legitimately works, I remember seeing it in the video when it first came out and then reading about it in some magazine or something and had to try it, on a hardflip too of course. Got it first yell, thanks Mike Mo!
mike mo had such a positive impression on me growing up skating. and even if neurallink doesnt work out nothing can take that away. i thank him for that.
This is so emotional, imagine being this god-tier talented and your career is cut short because of an injury not even related to sk8. must be hella frustrating. remember watching him at the early berrics and thinking that he had it so different that ultra bouncy pop and steez together. there were tricks he only did once in his berrics game of skates , out of nowhere, like the 360 body varial, or more recently the first ever try nollie back foot impo... there is just an elegance and display of deep mastery that when you see his clips it never ever feels like trying hard . zen genius. We will wait until your true comeback Mo. :)
Mike Mo will forever be my favorite skater. We all used his skating as inspiration that's why we all love this dude and always wish for his comeback. I remember getting him to sign COD video game case because of his day in the life.
Fully Flared shaped my entire teenage years and kept me skating until injuries into my 20’s. Such a great video. I’ll never forget Mike Mo, Biebel, Guy and Marc’s part. Couldn’t get enough of the video. I would watch it everyday as a Teacher’s Assistant my senior year on my iPod Touch Gen 2 😂
oh man, i miss Mike Mo. I still have early ass childhood memories watching him on Epicly Later'd going to Tico's and kickin it with his brother. so down to earth and loved every minute of skating.
This video is the most influential of all the videos I watched growing up. Mike Mo and Cairo were my favorites and I was blessed to have skated with Cairo a few times last year and he’s an awesome dude! Thanks for the memories!
P rods yeah right part now mike mo’s fully flared literally one of the 2 legends on my list that got me into skateboarding pushing myself to be the best u could be
I used to skate everyday growing up and then also suffered nerve damage in my leg, due to Multiple Sclerosis. I love his positivity at the end of this video. I dream of the day I’ll be able to step on a board again.
Absolute classic. I remember a version of the video with WU LYF - Heavy Pop as a score which fitted so perfectly. The explosions and the drums were completely in sync. Sadly, that video has been removed a long time ago, but still a great memory.
loved the insight about Ty inspiring him to do some of these nutty tricks. you can tell he really lit a fire under him to basically jumpstart his career.
True fucking story…i manage Detroit city skateboards, and i was watching Fully Flared one day and it was Mike’s part playing when Glassy called the shop phone! I answered and told them Fully Flared was on and confirmed Mike Mo owned that company lol I then asked if he was there, and he was! Lmfao got to talk to Mike while his part was playing…Big shoutout to Mo he’s so chill and down to earth
wow the nostalgia... i got the fully flared dvd for my bday in 7th grade i think and watched it so much i ended up kinda hating it for years but watching this right now im just smiling and still think that ender is bonkers, still to this day people arent doing that casually

No Cars Go is so iconic
