Maybe Rodney and daewon rounds 🤷 or more girl yeah right parts?
Off topic but I wanna hear from some pros of how making the movie grind was haha
Chris Roberts in his Hot Chocolate Tour Part
Mark Appleyard - Sorry or Really Sorry ( Barcelona era Mark )
Prod dropping some wisdom at the end. A true master
I guarantee this series becomes the most popular on their channel. This is amazing and endless, considering your connections keep firing all love
so many more skaters i want to hear about there parts this series is dope you are right on that .
HE DID IT. Truly one of the best parts of all time. Absolutely changed my life and inspired me to be better.
Also Nyjah Huston had Rise and Shine on itunes. Both video parts still hold up to this day in my opinion
That quote at the end. Tremendous
Every lifelong skater has an almost monk like wisdom to them. You can definitely tell the difference if someone quit in their younger years.
That's funny he is saying that, I remember back in 2010 I was telling a homie about this part and he ask me what it was like and I remember telling him specifically: "man is like Paul was trying to outdo himself and show guys like Felipe Gustavo (who had just put up some awesome parts) that he's still in the game". 😂😂
P-Rod is so humble and intelligent. I could listen to him all day long. He speaks with so much passion and remembers every little detail. Thats crazy! For me he is still my favourite skateboarder of all time since i started 26 years ago.
11:15 For the pro skateboarders out there that don’t know; it’s tough for pretty much everyone fyi. Unless you’re making 50k+ life is pretty stressful on the daily. Doing what you love is a blessing brotha.
He should do one for Forecast. That part has aged very well with the music, style, and tricks selection. But this part proved he was one of the best.
Mike mo: wait… I did a frontside flip over a gap??? I don’t recall this.
Prod: this trick was on august 27th 2007 at 6:18pm while Gordon Ramsay’s famous melt down premiered in San Francisco on Kitchen nightmares.
I remember when this dropped only thing I ever bought legally on iTunes had it on my iPod with the screen damn time flies with my prod 3s. 2010-2012 felt like the real last two years of skateboarding before being swallowed by the social media.
“I had another avenue to create another lane for people, tryna teach em how to be kings, but all they wanna be is soldiers” 🐐 🐐 🐐
After that trick I remember that day I ate some orange juicy fruit gum right after, went to my friend Kevin’s house who was wearing dark blue Levi’s, a black vans logo shirt, it was 75 degrees with light wind, and I watched episode 5 of season 4 of breaking bad on my living couch with my feet propped up on my wooden coffee table wearing my new Prod 5’s.
I bought this when it came out. Watched it on my iPhone 4 all the time, lol. I love how much personality was injected into this edit and loved the fast pace. Rifled through clips. The credits bit where he's making fun of the bad driver-license giveaway at the DMV.
I like the idea of skaters (with big name recognizition) monetizing their video parts. I know we'd all pay trillions for a new Mike Mo video part.
What even happened to Mike mo? Isn’t his ankle fucked?
Great he made a skate career after the wonder years, that TV show was my favourite growing up.. Had a poster of Winne on my bedroom wall for years
Ya that show launched a lot of ppl, prod and marilyn manson should really be grateful
@@Bingo.BaJingo I wonder pardon the pun did he ever get to switch flick winnie's backside
The nollie lateflip crook to this day is so mind blowing!!
Sewa did the nollie front foot flip shortly after Paul did it! Said he was inspired by Paul as well
I was gonna write this, that Holland park edit of his was next level.
i remember setting up a bank account so i could buy and watch this part..
Damn watching P rod grow from a boy to a man and dropping some knowledge in this video 🔥💯
His late foot shit is insane honestly even up to today’s standards he’s the only one I’ve really seen take it town sets and into tech tricks and it looks fckn great everytime
yeah i've seen jeff deschare do it down sets but prod is the only guy I've seen do them with style.
@@jackhignell2431 Definitely not from that era, but Nick Tucker has it on lock as well, into and out of tricks too (mostly manuals)
Also Sewa Kroetkov has some wild lateflips on lock. Check out Adriel Parmisanos last trick in the latest DGK video. (;
P-Rod's analysis of the industry decision to move into free skateboard content is a crazy one.
Yall remember even before Me, Myself, and I you had to pay for every skate video/content you saw?
I also remember when MMI came out I was in the camp of outraged people. I remember talking with my friends and was like "This man wants us to pay for a part of JUST him?!?! P-Rod trippin..." None of me or my homies forked over the money to buy it. I look back now and say that was childish of me.
Yet, I also remember being being excited yet confused when full lengths started being given for free. I never had a problem buying a full length. I really wonder what financial impact that decision had on the skate industry as a whole. I would take having to pay money for full lengths if there were more of them from the teams I really love.
Reminisicing done, haha.
Honestly I think by the last year of full lengths being sold (2018 really), people just really weren't buying them. And I'm sure for some companies the thought was they might as well get the extra exposure by putting it out for free if not enough people are actually buying and seeing their videos
huddles with the homies around the comp before the saturday sesh to this part for weeks after
Ryan Sheckler!
Thanks!
ILY
Such a legendary time in skateboarding! ... this part really did set the tone for the solo internet video part standard we see today.
This part blew my mind when I saw it. I show all my friends this video because this was amazing. I remember seeing the progression and the dedication he kept applying and it’s inspiring. The song matched perfectly, the way he was skating, it was like otherworldly. Love this part man fr.
Ronnie Creager Trilogy.... or Lavar Mcbride Trilogy Amazing
That was a good watch.
Mark Appleyard had Soul Rebel solo part on iTunes.
Tbh I think a lot of people would pay today for parts. I think he’s right skaters deserve that check and filmers to. If people are willing to pay for exclusive iG content. People would pay a one time purchase for a part. He should definitely stand his ground and continue this with primitive videos.
The ending shows the progression of skateboarding....the TRUE discussion and independent part shit was so sick...there was no IG or barely YT back then and this stuff was nuts and still is today
I’m hindsight it’s mad that for a couple of years people were willing to pay for single parts. Shows how much the way we consume media has changed over the last 10/15 years
so sick, and the watch the throne quote at the end is goat’d 🔥
Can you please stop making these with the video so small, just have the person talking minimized
I've been like that squirrel from hoodwinked lately not wanting people to touch me
I remember watching this before it even dropped on iTunes, my boy got the link somehow, magical moment
Prod big respect, one of the best skateboarders out there. That video part was pure fire even until today I see the video and want to mimic those tricks and motivate myself to keep pushing and riding until the wheels fall off.
Dude is super motivated and you could tell he was really serious about this. Sick part. One of the best to ever do it.
Can't believe he didn't win SOTY for this part.
Damn the eeriness of him mentioning Terry Kennedy was so awkward…RIP that kid
This series is a definite winner! I'd love to see P.Rod go through all of his parts! And whoever else they can get! Mike Mo one was awesome too!
This was probably one of the couple videos I actually bought
i got say i downloaded it in pirate bay. but still one of my favs of Prod.
I was wondering what happened with his planb footage got my answer lol
Daaam prod, didn't even shout out the tustin high rail, the one that arto or reynold switch flipped over
Pat Duffy did a tre flip crooked grind down a hubba in 1993.
wasn't a tre flip nose slide?
@@DarwinBoys1 it was a XYZ ad, definitely a tre flip crook
@@everycloud7144 Damn duffy is such a legend
Prod was my favorite skater. I bought that part as soon as it dropped, paid for his app and only skated in prods for like 2 years yet still skated like shit tho lol
Love this breakdown, P Rod should do all of his parts.
Wait, they weren't paid for video parts?
. wait... do pros not get paid for the free parts that are released? I always thought pros get hooked up for it ?
Aye if you get a documentary film made I want bobby lee to play me hands down
Congrats on him coming out the closet at the end
Chris cole couldve done the knack.
Crazy how much work goes into a single trick
This has always been my favorite part of all time. So stoked to see Prod talking over it like this!
I remember buying this skate video on iTunes!
It could be a comedy and a thriller at the end you could put based on a true story
7:00 Sewa Kroetkow did it too. Not long after P-Rod.
Alf's Next Generation part please...
These are so good. It's a quick peep into the mindset of the greatest to ever do it
Homie looks like a Mexican bill cosby.
P-rod is a true professional.
I loved him in The Wonder Years
Got that dill swag today
Yuto mustve watched this ❤
Watching these guys go over their old vid parts... super sick!!!
Yoo P-rod is a carbon copy of his Dad
I BOUGHT IT PAUL WHEN IT CAME OUT! Fuck yeah!
breakdowns are the best.
I'm just so irresistible
Not a chance..
I think the tre flip crook being the NAC is a lot more fitting than the nollie late flip crook. The tre flip crook became such an iconic trick during that era, and I don't think a late flip trick could achieve the same level of notoriety
So far ahead of his time, this video was beyond mind blowing heheh it dropped.. was like, do I even go skate now? Lol! Prods the man 🎉
🔥🔥🔥
My goat
Paul Sr. being so solid & down to Earth is why Junior here was obviously raised proper.
P Rod for President !
with the greatest of ease
another one hell yea!!
My favorite part to this day. P-Rod really was the inspiration for many many skaters
this was the first skate video i ever bought, if it weren’t for paul i probably wouldn’t be a skateboarder to this day
Prod work ethic, just like the greats - Kobe, MJ. That's what it takes, along with natural raw talent, kids.
6:00 Paul was definitely the first one. We had been waiting for it to go down. It made sense that it came from P-Rod.
Awesome video, thanks for sharing. Love Prod!
I am dead serious
More of these please!!!
Hell yeah prod
🛹🛹🛹
The greatest
Legendary!
This might be my favorite P-rod's video part.
prod really loves himself man, if i could skate like that i guess i would too lmao
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Lmfao

You are the man Paul. I could watch you do this with your instagram clips it’s such a pleasure to hear your process
