What the hell is an A.I.V. Supercharged Panoz Roadster?

- Knowing that we were shooting this Panoz Roadster I had to do some research as I've never seen or heard of this car before. Somewhere along the way the name Panoz sounded familiar and as I dug in a felt a little out of it...they're involvement in motor sports is massive. They've competed successfully in 24 Hours of LeMans, American LeMans Series, Indy 500 and others as well as owning and developing famed race tracks such as Mosport/Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, Sebring and Road Atlanta. Cars that they've built have won all the above named races and countless others. This is a family/company that is grounded in motorsports and that translates into the cars they build for the street.

This was my favorite car in the Chicago edition of _Midtown Madness..._

Mr. Panoz just died a few weeks ago but the company is a true father and son success story. These roadsters are the performance bargain of the century.

Man that is one special car! I worked at Panoz back in those days. Only the last 3 or 4 had the superchargers.
And it’s crazy to me that almost no one knows about these cars!
What an honor to go for a ride in this one of a kind boosted car all the way to AutotopiaLA to shoot for the day.
I never knew how much my beard would fly around like a octopus in the wind lmbo.
1 of only 3 cars built from the factory w a super charger, who ever buys this one is gonna have a fun ride, because this car was meant to be driven & enjoyed!

I have a 1997 same color!! But it's not super charged. I love it the only thing it's hard to do a u-turn. And the review mirrors comes from a Mazda Miata! Lol only 176 was built Braselton Georgia.

I now know about a car I honestly have never even seen or heard of. At the first glance I’m thinking Plymouth prowler crosses with a 427 Shelby cobra. The bumpers are like a cobra, the rear tail lights are similar to that of the cobra also. But that front end screams prowler to me. Definitely a interesting car to say at the least!

I use to have a poster of one in my room for the longest time. I even have the little 1:18 diecast of it sitting with my diecast plymouth prowler. I've always thought they were sharp rides.

Hey Shawn, I recently purchase a AIV and I'm having a hard time finding a service manual so I can properly work on the AIV according to the manufacture. I've been unable to reach Panoz in GA, not sure if they're still active but not much luck. Is there any way you can put me in contact with Vic the AIV owner. I've got so many questions about the AIV. I appreciate any help!
Looks like a way better option to the Plymouth Prowler. Probably much more reliable too.
