FUTURE COLLECTIBLE car. This is a driver’s car. Wish I could see how much they will APPRECIATE in the future. I prefer the Championship white or grey. ❤
Wonderful car. Sad dealers still want to have crazy markups. One with financing 5k down tier 1 credit was saying it be 1400 a month for 60 month loan. Insane!
haha thats crazy... i too at my dealer wants like 60k... id rather build a 97 honda hatch with a k20 on it and turbo it for not even half the cost and its a cleaner looking car and easy to work on not so much dash screen tech stuff, dont need all that when we have smartphones now
That's wild. I drove a FK8 and I def prefer my GR Corolla. My local dealer has a FL5 coming in September that I have first dibs on. It will be a $5k or less over MSRP he said he'd work with me. Question is, will I have more fun than the GRC, idk.
I have a 2014 Ford Fiesta ST with a Cobb stage two tune, it hooks up very nice, at a 100, 150 thousand miles on it, it’s a street league Go-Kart. The Fiesta Flash
Integra Type S is my old man car. Love it. Never had access to that kind of horsepower before. Been driving FWD 1.8s my whole life, I know how they act. I looked at the Lexus and Caddys. I'm not that good anymore. I don't want to die that soon. That Blackwing is nice, 4 or 5. But 320 hp FWD is fine by me.
Facts haha. I think it has to due a bit with the power range. You can feel the car pulling so much at around 5k rpm and + so you need to keep reving it if you want full power.
The toughest part about getting a type R aside from the price is picking the color! RR looks so good but it is a lot of red, boost blue is a beautiful color and championship white is iconic! It’s a perfectly made car. Sure it lack minor features like type c charger, heated seats/steering wheel and power seats but definitely could live without them.
Yessss so true! I have sonic gray sports one and I do like it especially with my stick black rims but that boost blue…ugh I went that color so bad and idk if I wanna do the HPD wing or the Type R wing. I would like to get a type r but don’t have the funds for it rn haha so but I’m loving what I have. Definitely am considering getting a color change tho
It's an incredible driving experience everytime you get behind the wheel...the negatives Ive found are it's hard to keep clean especially after I changed to gold coloured wheels...rainstorms really do a number on them..And it has the best seats but you're always worried about spills or food, so I put these red covers from dream automotive..of course I haven't driven it in winter so can't comment.. And if you find the ride too harsh you can swap a $200 dampening module from the type S to make it ride exactly like that..
I’ve been driving my blue FL5 as my daily, absolutely no issues whatsoever. In fact, the WHOLE POINT of the Type R is that you can make it your only car and it can handle the commute and track days with no issues. There’s no point in having one as a weekend car, IMO.
The issue with the CTR is multifold... First, its simply to big. To be fair, all modern cars are essentially to big, but cars like the CTR, GR Corolla (which I own), Elantra N are to big to be truly tossable and fun in the same way older cars like the first gen Miata and Toyota MR2 were. The second issue with the CTR is its "wrong-wheel-drive. FWD is just a no go if you truly want a fun driving experience. Being able to change the attitude of the car with the throttle is a huge ingredient in what makes a car fun. And while the AWD GR Corolla is less FWD in its behavior, it is still a FWD biased system. It doesnt let me kick the ass out in the same way a BRZ/AE86 does. There really isnt a truly "fun" hot hatch in the U.S. at the moment. Still, all the current crop of hot hatches are excellent grand tourer's and can make quick work of a track day. The CTR has an outstanding interior but the exterior is way to understated for my taste. Im not a fan of white cars so the bland white exterior of a CTR does it's bland body lines no favors. It looks SO much better in red! Now if only Honda could create a RWD CTR....
I like my CTR and its fun but my GR Mirozo edition is a fun car can't daily but still a great corner grabber and if you modded it its insane, its also great in bad weather if you drive it unlike my type R the GR’s a very unicorn cars and I love it.
a new 2025 type r coming im assuming..i bet nothing major changes just minor tweaks ... if you want a type r now i would just wait for a new one since the cost of it is alot and might as well just get the latest one coming soon
i’m not being biased but when I compare my type R and my GR mirozo edition yes the type R is quick and its fun but my GR is a little monster itself and still fast and if you tune those things its way better all the way around then a type R and I've been driving a type R for a long time. The type R just has alot of fan boys and I get it but the gr just out the box is nuts wish I could get a GR Yaris lol. But all testing is done on dry land put both in snow, light mud or gravel my type R would fail.
It’s liftback. A true hatch is a wagon but smaller. This is like the 2g eclipse and MK4 Supra and rx7. A true hatch is a EG, EK gen 3 wrx/sti, golf R/Gti and even the new GR Corolla are real hatchbacks

No it won't to many produced, I have one and I like it, but the GR mirizo edition I have that's a collectible. 200 produced.
@@vikingguy2434technically in about 20 years I’m hoping for a about a quarter or a third of them to be totaled
The design of the CTR is very good and compliments the drive very well. It’s the near perfect hot hatch.

24 Sonic Grey Pearl FL5 here and the best and definitely my favorite car I ever owned.

How reliable is it? Is the tune safe for you to go another 50-60,000 miles without major issues?

💯 agree with the car makes you want to drive hard, I always catch myself over the speed limit

red is the best imo🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I don't have a garage, but I still want one.
Boost Blue Pearl or Rallye Red is the way!
You won’t get a type R at msrp in Canada. But you will get a type S at msrp. That’s why I got the type S. No regret.
What about the Pearl black? You see too many white ones! But Pearl Black looks the best by far! ⚫️
What do you think of this car as an only daily car? Is it too racy or harsh? Is it better to get an SI and save the $?

No problem as a daily whatsoever!

I traded my Porsche Macan in on a champ white FL5 couldn't be happier
I drive an Integra Type S. People are swapping their Type R suspension modules for the Integra's, to get the softer ride.

It doesn't look like a hot hatch, looks like a small sedan.
Its the fastest front wheel drive car...

for me

Too bad it's not at a reasonable price smh
80.000 ca make it AWd and maybe worth it. Rrally cheap inside.
