    I may be the only person who likes the look of the Type R better than the
    Type S. The Only thing I don’t like about the Type R is the look of the 3 exhaust tips.

    I don't know if our roads are smoother or if they changed the suspension configuration, but the R mode doesn't seem 'that' stiff here in Australia. It's definitely not soft, but not horrible, But every video I watch from the US people say it is.

      100% haha. Mostly downshifting for the extra sounds for you guys, but also because I hadn't driven the road in awhile so for some of the corners I was preparing for a tighter/slower turn than it turned out to be. As for power, it's plenty. Keep in mind this road is a steep uphill climb.

    Don't get me wrong, I love the car. (My brother had a FK8 and now the FL5, but I never own a Type R...😭)
    I love the everything about the FL5 and FK8 but the steering feel. I don't understand that nearly all the content creators said the steering feel is top notch, but I disagree.
    The FL5 steering is very precise, but it feels stiff and numb. I drove the Focus RS/ST and Fiesta ST before, even the SVT Focus I had long time ago, they are all have better steering feel than the Type R. Steering feel is the one thing Honda never good at.
    Again, I'm not saying the FL5 steering is bad, but just the feel isn't quite right. Anyway, great video. Keep it up man.👍

I miss all the vtec theatre from civics past…. The EP3 if we got that over here would be the crowning champ I think. But still a good car for sure. Just……🫤

      Yeah I've heard you can swap in the Active Sound Controller from the Type-S to improve it a bit, but I'm not sure that'll give you the occasional pops the Type-S has when the turbo gets hot. N/A vs. forced induction is a forever conversation! Torque or noise. Pick one.

There isn’t a car made in this world that haters don’t thrive to find something or things they don’t like about them . Funny and sad at the same time . I almost thought you were the Topher. I love your review. I purchased an ITS 2024 for about 1K above market price. Accepted. I was willing to do an SI civic as well and even a Type R, but dealer downshot me perhaps because I was in sweatpants despite being able to pay for the car in cash on the spot.... nonetheless. I purchased the Type S Integra 2024 (love it), but was given an Integra Tech Package automatic as a loaner. Woah. I loved that.... I even told myself I would've been okay with purchase of the A-spec 2024 integra. I felt that way until the Type S was delivered to my home by the dealership. Wow. I literally used my 2018 Grand Touring Miata as a cash ball to get the ITS --- Miata is always the answer, and I miss the car -- but this ITS is so much better. I loved your review today and comment at the end.

      I own a S2K and looked at an IS350F and 500FSP to replace my other daily driver car. The FL5 and DE5 are way more fun to drive cars. I'd love to just overhaul the IS500 suspension if they offered a manual, but instead they only offer automatic and a somewhat mediocre one at that. It's a shame because the body of the IS refresh looks amazing.

    • @apexcobra.official
      @apexcobra.official 4 месяца назад +2

      Is350 doesn't compare to this at all as far as sports performance. Straight line aside, the Type R will absolutely murder the Is350 on a track or windy backroad environment. Also comes with a proper manual, and a FAR more tuneable platform. Will make well over 400hp with just a few easy bolt ons and a flash tune. Is350 has very small aftermarket potential.

      @@apexcobra.official for the money youre better off buying a previous generation corvette and get the real experience of having a serious sports car with tons of aftermarket support . my point is basically if you want a sports car, buy a sports car. why spend this much money just to pretend.

    • @apexcobra.official
      @apexcobra.official 4 месяца назад +3

      @teamskdm1 Well, for one, Corvettes are useless outside of sports driving as they're completely impractical cars. Type R is a usable daily car that will beat older Vettes on a track all while getting better MPGs, nicer tech features, cheaper insurance, etc.
      I can fit my family in the Type R as well as a few weeks of camping gear, drive it halfway across the country to Tail of the Dragon and absolutely crush the road. Can't do that with a Corvette.
      Also, you can add a few basic bolt ons and tune to the Type R and it'll make the same power to weight ratio as a Corvette...
