Micro drifting is actually a thing in real life, it's called slip angle, allowing the tyres to slide a slight amount gives the car better turn in, but doesn't slow it down as much as a full on drift would, using this tecnique is the fastest way of taking a corner
It's honestly really cool how Unbound changes up how you race compared to other conventional racing games. I just wish there was a way to practice a track more consistently. I think a time trial mode in single or multi player would be a super nice addition.
Thank you man, i actually understood this things (not all of them) before watching this video, but it was a good explaining for me. That’s actually why I love this game, on Regera you have to be superfocused on the road to dominate, insane feelings when you get it right 👍
I have only got the double dipping (drift to grip) to work semi reliably on my Porsche 911 GT2 RS with neutral handling tuning. I use the drift mechanic to burn my speed going into the turn till I get just slow enough to get control to grip then burst to snap it to a grip turn. It is insanely fast when it works properly… but it take insane concentration and I can only reliably use that car for 1 or 2 races at a time without feeling mentally exhausted from driving it.
I find another good way to tell if you are micro-drifting is by the burst nos gauge. It will tell you that you are drifting when you are clearly in full control. Obviously you can't stare at your nos meter in a race but its a good way to practice. Also the Lotus feel like they micro-drift constantly.
Man these could be the hardest things to master and even do it consistently due to diff cars and diff tracks, traffic condition and etc, the amount of nos u get is gonna be different and it's crucial for us to improvise and adapt to the situation with these learned skills
I've done micro drifiting before watching, I've just called it riding the slip angle since that's what it feels like to me, good to know this info is being shared so everyone can collectively get better at racing... now if we could just get rid of the B Tier Pistas and the Rammers
I've learned some of these technics in the last week and now have received multiple messages claiming I'm cheating..... I guess it's working..... You could really pull away from the pack. Good stuff here Trigger, always enjoy your content.
Uhh i just figured out that the concept for line extensions works on straights. Although not recommended if you're in first, if you smoothly steer back and forth on the road without letting the game realize you stopped turning you get nitro. Just tried it on 'The Big O' and got MULTIPLE full bars
Been here since your first heat build you gave me idea then bought all engines in heat for all cars found some work better for my drive style but I'm on PlayStation for unbound and heat
I can’t seem to break the habit of, even with an all-grip car, going full speed into tight corner….hitting e-break and brake to snap the rear end around….and then spamming for what little NOS I get to correct inevitable over-steer. I need more discipline to slow down, taking the perception of loss of speed to get the net-gain of added NOS by executing correct grip turn SMH
do you think you could make a video on why cars spin out of control while in the middle of a grip turn. I have yet to find a car that doesnt spin out without stability ctrl.On Honestly i am giving up on this game completely
My guy the Slower Classes are a Blast- A&A+ the Top 3 Battles are Insane, Personally the upper class on this game is Kinda Ass, everyone just uses OP cars or races dirty, A and A+ is where I’ve Had Some FIRE 🔥 Ass Races!!!!!
I realized while watching this video that im already doing micro-drifting, burst timing, burst turns and double-dipping. Maybe I am more pro than I think I am!
So it all comes down to maximize your burst output. Not trying to brag but i think you should know all of these techniques by just playing the game and paying attention to your burst bar
Great video but I just bought the game. Is it best to Gas tap for drifting and Brake tap for grip or default and what tier of car would you start to use Brake tap at A tier and above? I'm.just confused about what level to start building a car just for grip.
Arcade nfs style gameplay was different time to time but always special, and that’s why it takes big attention from pro community. For example, it’s like Warzone & Apex, both are ONLINE FPS, but they are very different to rush for a masterpiece.
@@BiggestChungus21 na Bro there Making fun of it cause it’s Need for Speed, Nobody cares about some Sweaty Kid that’s Calls Himself a Pro at NFS, ppl nowadays only respect Pros in Real Life Things!!!
With one hand you hold the steering wheel and with the other hand you wave the middle finger outside the window, you also swear and use the horn as much as possible. It works for me. 🤷♂️
For chirping, micro-drifts, and double dipping, is it advantageous to have a RWD car? Seems like it might be easier for RWDs to initiate gaining burst nos via drift without pitching the car as sideways and thus losing less speed?
I think chaining is the only thing I haven’t really messed with, most the other stuff I’ve Had Down since like first couple days! Thing that makes me Mad 😡 is you can’t really tell how to build a car, it’s Grip/Drift needs change for Every Class and Every Car So it’s a guessing Game with each Car, which is So Fucking Annoying!!!
No matter how my cars are set up I'll be going straight then the back locks up and shoots my car into a wall or something . I already know EA doesn't know how to design cars in racing games but this is pathetic ! Nore does a race car misfires constantly lol
I refuse to play based on the game's faulty and unbalanced mechanics.. that's why I gave up trying to be competitive (even because most of the cars I like suck).. apart from playing on a cheap controller with no possibility of traction control and low resolution making cars of traffic appears rendered just a few feet in front of me, especially when it's cloudy (making races with mirrored cars disadvantageous when there's someone at the same level playing).. The way is to play what I like without expecting anything, even because it's a game arcade racing.
Professional NFS players 🤣 that one made me laugh, didn't know video games had racing leagues like real life. Imagine someone asks you what's your job occupation? And you say I'm a "pro' need for speed racer. I would hit the ground laughing People take games tooooo seriously

Nfs doesn't have a pro scene but you could call nfs RUclipsrs pros because they get paid to play the game. But it's not like any of the sim racing games with real esport leagues

well this game is harder than I thought, again thank you Trigger for the tips
Now I understand why I keep ending up in the lower half of online races all the time lol
Driving feels very good though in this game. Easy to learn but as it seems hard to master
I love the Grip Turning in this game it feel so rewarding going around a corner and getting full burst now right after
I cant figure out how to force a grip turn properly. Any tips?
@@michaelespelandpress brake while gassing then let go of gas. it kinda initiates it for u

I love the burst NOS for coming out of corners, it's perfect for short drifts in grip cars. Sometimes you gotta drift a grip car and grip a drift car

My S-tier Exige takes corners like its attached to a rail. It's superb, and the only one I currently trust for any S-tier race.

The way you describe microdrifting, isn't that ... slip angle?
I noticed that I'm doing certain mechanics instinctively x)
Anyways great guide as usual Trigger

Micordrifting is my nemesis right now. I can't pull it off properly, and when I do, it's not on purpose.

Just picked up the game recently and yeah this is still an issue. Happens a lot to my z06 and carrera
it would be nice if also upload a video of best cars in the game for each class as it is a lot beneficial
DD looks like it would be super useful with slower cars, since it would give players a longer time frame for adjusting the cars.

How is drifting with downshift or clutch in this game? I have a wheel. No e brake drifting???

Burst turns are the most important technique for sure. If you fail to do it you lose to the top racers every time.
