The fact EA can't comprehend explaining the games mechanics speaks volumes for the company.... This is the first racing game i've ever had to actually search up how to play. I've played most other NFS, one burn out, Test Drive 6, Grand Turismo on ps2, Ashalt, etc...but modern NFS. Thats the one I had to research.

Burst NOS is seriously the most brilliant mechanic I never knew we needed, especially with drafting. There isn't as much rubber-banding in this game and my best guess is that we can get a boost through drafting now. I love it.

    • @bryton1920
      @bryton1920 Год назад

I mean they just stole the mechanic from mario kart. In that game you initiate a drift with the bumpers, and the longer you hold the drift for, the higher boost you get coming out of it once you let go of the bumper.
If anything, this is a terrible mechanic for a simcade racing series like nfs. I don't know why they can't just implement actual physics into the game for things like gripping or drifting around a corner, rather than just tapping a button to "activate drift mode". Fucking stupid as shit honestly.

Bro do a video on the cop chases they are insane. It’s not so much that it’s impossible to lose them. It’s just so hard to keep them gone. And the way the AI behaves is insane. Like helicopters will just sit over you waiting on you to come out even though you “got away” sure that’s kinda more realistic. But I mean it’s a game and we want to have fun lol.
So I hope they do a update giving more options for dealing with police. Like purist breakers. And I hope they change the spawn rates of the cops while not in a pursuit. The roads are just to heavily patrolled and they make no effort in hiding the fact they know where you are at all times. I can look on my map and always see about 5 cops around me at any given time just waiting for me to make a mistake. And then there is surely one or two undercover cops waiting too. Which I like the idea of having the unmarked cars that would be fun to deal with if it felt normally. But it just feels like going to point a to point b to start the next race is impossible without getting extremely luck or triggering a chase. Then you end up having to lose them and next thing you know your across the map again. With them hovering breathing down you’re neck is trying to trigger another chase before you make it.
I suspect they even know when you mark a location on a map because if feels like they sit there sometimes

Im glad someone pointed this out, i literally had to turn difficulty down for this. It seemed like police force was made up of over half the population of the entire city. Worser than GTA 5 star levels of insane, well not really but still lol. The part I hate the worst is when your in first place I cant tell how many times police came out of nowhere and knocked me off course with absolutely no time for me to react or anything! One time 2 police came and essentially road blocked a 2 lane bridge entry I almosted raged quit. Also the helicopter and cop cars seem to always know where you are after you escape them, making driving too the safe house a complete pain. I could be busting left and rights almost every corner and they'd still be headed right in my direction. Add the fact that you can lose all your restarts and money in a split second and yeah, im turning the difficulty down. 🤣🤣🤣 It kills me though because in nfs Heat i beat it on hard difficulty it was tough but nothing like this game.

Also i tried not marking a location on the map and driving there manually, didnt work lol. Best thing to do though is hard close the app if they catch you. I know it seems cheesy but this is what we have to result to until hopefully they balance things out.

    • @0uttaS1TE

Honestly, I think a better solution would be to have Heat levels be attached to cars. So say I got Heat 5 on my BRZ and I switch to my 180SX. In that case, it would stick to thd BRZ for the rest of the night, and I have a reduced heat level in the 180SX. For me, pursuit breakers make police chases too easy. It's a screen clear like in a shoot em up. I'd rather evade the cops through wit.
But with that said, yeah you right. The cops when you're being chased aren't Heat bad but it is annoying to play Metal Gear Solid on the way to the next location. I get it's a trade off for doing big events, but still. I do like the Undercover cops in this game tho because they actually have that unique feature of not being shown on the map

I rather just play game at my own pace instead of if I go back to garage and get upgrades and sht for my car, it ends the whole day and i lose out on doing races to make money. like wtf kinda bullsht is that? I learn that the AI drives super fast and aggressively. So whenever you are near them, just use the NOS or boost from yellow bar and hit them in the back to spin them out and make them crash. Its only way to make them slow down enough so you can actually win 1st place. I think they programmed the god damn game to literally make it frustrating to actually win first, so much that you would give up and take 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th instead of keep trying to win 1st.

Races become easy even on Insane difficulty when you're at the top of that specific class like A or A+ maxed. Some npcs/races (we all know them) are built to cheat you so it's good to sometimes make that specific AI crash, but either way, the game seems to be scripted in a way where if you manage to get to the front of the pack early you'll probably win. If you can't get past everyone you get stuck for a while.
Besides that, it's clear they made the game in a way that (for some reason) they don't want you to win every race as first.
I haven't had much difficulty on Insane tbh but I'm just pretty good at racing games I suppose. But these are my findings.

  • @DystopianBeats

I'm not even a beginner. I've completed every NFS since underground and never had this much of an issue. Even the first race in the game is almost unwinnable, and it doesn't get any easier. The AIs will all clump up to block you as much as possible while the chosen 1 AI steams ahead. When you hit the NOS, the AIs get a speed boost too so it doesn't even help. I find myself averaginging roughly 3rd-4th place even though I'm an experienced NFS player. With buy in costs on most races I struggle to make money to upgrade my car and once you fall behind the curve you're done for.

I'm quite late here, but you also get rewarded with boost when overtaking racers with considerably lower speeds, and you get a FULL BAR whenever you take down a police car.
Same goes with racers, but this time you don't need to straight up destroy their car, just make them lose control in a crash (When the car goes flying around and shit)
Doing turns the grippy way give you an ammount depending on how long you've been turning, and you CAN combine more than one turn if you change directions quickly enough. Keep in mind grip turns only give you the boost moments after finishing the turn, and it has to be a considerable turn (Not the turn itself, but the car needs to turn enough), so it's hard to keep stacking them all by themselves.
Burst NOS (Or as I call it, Boost) will give you the ability to ram racers and cops out of the way as if they're not even there. Extra helpful to either finish off cops or push racers out of the road.
Even just the first bar is enough to push those green police tanks, AT ANY SPEED, just time it right and get em off your way.
It also increases your grip considerably, if you're using a grip build and you're about to go large on a turn, let off the gas and hit your Boost if you have any, the car will do a slightly harder turn while the boost depletes, allowing you to take the turn faster. Beware that some cars might turn too much and spin the rear, same goes if the road's bumpy, or generally if you hit the gas while doing it.
Grip turns will ignore any input on the pedals, and will only care about the car turning, so feel free to slow down and gas as much as you need to through the turn, although braking and then accelerating at the apex is generally the best way to do it.
Lastly, jumps also give Boost, quite nicely. If your car's not the best at accelerating or a tough turn is coming right up and there's a small jump nearby, take it, the boost will help you through the turn.
Beware of Grip cars and builds though, as good as they are, they can get frustrating when going through bumps and some sections of the map. Play around with the downforce, you'll need it in some cars and you'll hate it in others.
Still, grip is probably your best choice against the AI since they mostly take drifts around, so you can remain off their line more often.

When i 1st played this game i had to restart my whole career 3 different times because the 2 cars i had couldnt even keep up. I got to the point where i was about to just delete this game. I gave it one more try and actually started figuring out how the game works. I started on casual just to get a feel for the game and let me tell you, the "relaxed" difficulty could be frustrating to new NFS players.

its cuz every difficulty level you choose the AI cars and cops has the same amount of good driving and aggression. The only difference is that lower difficulty setting, the cops and AI cars makes way more crashing mistakes compared to highest difficulty level.

You've probably figured this out now but it's just about the handling tuning slider, traction control, tires etc. I took a BRZ from B class to S class and it was great as a drift car but not so much as a grip one. The Nissan GTR I won in the 3rd week though was immediately much more grippy and now after tuning it for even better grip it's really easy to win with this car: but not as much fun as with the BRZ.

I was just wondering if the game is supposed to force you into looking backwards at first. Apparently it just doesn't like my keyboard in game so i have to hold the up arrow to actually see where I'm going. Top tier game.

Letting off the gas and putting it back on does start a drift right now. As well as tapping the gas.

Keep in mind that I am playing on easy and never came in above fourth place. I just finished the prologue and now they are asking me to buy a car and I got nervous and shut the game off and hopped on RUclips for some help on this... you seem yo be very knowledgeable on the game so I thought I would ask you.

The ai are frustrating in this game. The ai will crash mid race, like full Wipeout, and 10 seconds later they're overtaking you. If you crash mid race your speed is starting back a 0 and it's nearly impossible to catch up to the top 3 depending on the length of the race, if you can't do it why can the ai
