    VIDEO DESCRIPTION
    ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀
    In this video I cover 10 behavioral interview questions and answers using the star method. I also answer the common question - What is the STAR method? The star interview method is a technique used by interviewers to ensure that while you are answering an interview question and you are describing a situation where you are addressing the situation task action result, and this gives them a rounded response to their question.
    The star method is also a great tool for candidates to use when answering any situational interview question as its a foolproof way of ensuring your interview has covered every area of the interview question.
    I explain the difference between behavioral interview questions, competency based interview questions and situational interview questions.
    I cover the top 15 tough interview questions and answers, including particularly tough questions such as Tell me about a time you had a conflict at work, and Tell me about a time when you disagreed with your boss.

    Thank you Amri, this is such an informative video! We've come across a lot of job hunters who have impressive backgrounds and relevant work experiences for the job they are interviewing for. However, they still failed their interviews, not because they are incapable of doing the job, but because they don't know how to effectively sell themselves to others. Final Round AI is here to help, we are all about delivering tailored answers in real-time to help you nail those interviews.

      Isn't that a systemic problem with the hiring process then? It's become so formulaic and corporatised that even though someone may have a wealth of relevant experience and background, they still don't get the job because they don't know how to play the interview game properly? So in the end, the people who are the best at acting get the job. Seems like a problem.

    Thank you so much for your time and effort with these informative videos. It helped me get a whole new understanding of different types of interview questions and why these questions are being asked. I do want to point out, I noticed that in Part 3 of how do you handle pressure in the last sentence it says-or whether other deadlines may need to moved as a result should be-or whether other deadlines may need to be moved as a result. Just happened to notice and thought to let you know.

    I absolutely loved this. Very detailed and organized. So I work in healthcare. I am a qualified medication aide. So I am able to pass medication out and assist with patient care as well. I have been in school for about a year in half and will soon graduate. My new career will be medical billing and coding. I'm trying to get an extra head start on what all I need to know about interviewing and today's job market. If you could help me out with some questions within that area. I would appreciate it. I am going from working in customer service (the patient that I care for) to office work.

    • @adampataki4599
      @adampataki4599 Год назад

      I would be willing to know what if the same question is stands for the conflict with your boss? I am thinking of this as the "We had none" is not really a good answer here :/

    • @amriceleste
      @amriceleste  Год назад +3

      I would really think about any disagreements, it doesn't need to be an outright argument, but it could be a lack of clarity on tasks, having various types of understanding of a process or policy, or even different working styles. If you haven't had any conflict at all, you can use an example from outside of the workplace.

    What's the difference between, "What motivates you?" and "How do you motivate yourself at work ?" ??????

    • @amriceleste
      @amriceleste  4 месяца назад +1

      'What motivates you' is asking about what motivates you generally, this could relate to your overall career choices, what motivates you personally or in another area of life, and is likely assessing your character - whereas 'what motivates you at work' is specifically work-related.

    • @Mr_BUSINESS_24_7

      @@amriceleste What does this have to do with ones actual work ethic and ones ability to actually do the job ? All these dumb AI questions are doing is testing ones ability to either think fast or memorize their amazing responses to as many behavioral questions as humanly possibly. How someone actually react in a given situation is actually dependent to that situation and will be a knee jerk reaction. These questions eliminate a lot of people with good work ethic because they are at a loss for work in that moment during the interview.
      I use to talk at work about the things that motivate me outside of work. Car repair. I'm pretty sure they didn't like me talking about car repair on company time. So why do they want to know what motivated me outside of work ?
      Imagine you're interviewing a guy who has done the job for 20 years. you ask him a behavioral question that he's not familiar with and he chokes. ... now what ? 🫣😂🤣✌🏼

      That’s why employers are moving towards performances based interviews. It weeds out those who don’t do the work of studying and learning how to master PBI. If you really want it, you will find a place and time to learn from

      @@RickDeRuleryes!! but they really don’t seem to be in my domains… past few interviews for me have been a bunch of behavioural stuff & maybe 1 or 2 technical questions… nothing much to measure performance. problem is anyone with a bit of charisma & confidence can whip out a good story & seem like a great personality & easygoing person to work with, but actually these people are often self-centred narcissists, which is why they’re so good at talking themselves up… and genuine people who get nervous in interviews (a normal human emotional reaction) are rejected because they didn’t show enough charm or charisma
