I love this coaster. And considering how intense and old it is and how many times it has been thrown onto trucks, assembled and disassembled again, it is unbelievable how smooth it still runs. This coaster couldn´t have a better owner than Barth.

RIP Schwartzkopf. Definitely the most underrated manufacturer who would be right up there with Intamin and B&M if they were still around these days

The turn right after the first loop transitioning into loops 2 & 3 is absolutely the best part of the ride. It´s especially good in the first car. The coaster is an egineering marvel but the previous model (Thriller) offered the better thrills.

I lived in Munich for 22 years amd have ridden this coaster several times. It always made me feel a little uneasy with that first loop when you could feel it wobbling as you went through. Had the joy of seeing them build it then take it down every year, too. The soundtrack of it is firmly implanted in my memory :)

I happened upon Olympia Looping back in 2018 at Winter Wonderland. Fun ride, the station was a push and shove mad house. Also was like $14 after conversion.

Want to learn how to tie your shoe? It's a very easy thing to do.Sit on down and I'll give you the scoop. What's that? It's called a "loop de loop!"You got to take a lace in each hand. You go over and under again. You make a loop de loop and pull,And your shoes are lookin' cool! You go over and back, left to right,Loop de loop and you pull em tight!Like bunny ears or a Christmas bow.Lace em up and you're ready to go!You make a loop de loop and pull,And your shoes are lookin' cool.[Instrumental solo]You make a loop de loop and pull,And your shoes are lookin' cool!

@@Thesmokercoaster It was not build by Schwarzkopf as they where already bankrupt at this time. It was build by BHS (Bayerische Berg-, Hütten- und Salzwerke). Parts of that firm are now part of Maurer. And yes Anton Schwarzkopf as well as Werner Stengler consulted with the design of Olympia Looping.
