Rebecca you and your children were very fortunate to be with your mother at the end. All i got was a phone call to say my parent was dead. Then the funeral home, each time.
I've always been the one helping/giving then 11 years ago my life fell apart. it was very hard to "receive" help. friend told me "don't let your pride take away my blessing". has stuck with me ever since. it's very humbling to receive and i've gotten much better at it.
Actually I'm kinda the same way. Even though life just seems to keep knocking me/us down, I can find it hard to take the help. Yes I'm grateful when it comes but it's a little bit of a pride thing I guess, like I should be able to look after myself...even though I know sometimes it's just necessary to have help with something.

Everything that's happened in that region is one of the most eye-opening experiences I've seen. Being a prepping channel, I'm prepped for Mos thing but seeing the destruction is beyond imagination. It's good to see the rebulding efforts taking place and people getting back to a somewhat normal life

Every small thing that gets finished feels SO good. In our case, it's a grain bin we were converting to a wood shed that has sat for 4 years while we waited to afford the job to finish filling the bottom with soil/gravel to have a floor. We finally found someone with a bobcat to come get it done and he only charged us $100 and used fill from our pasture (big ridge out there we want flattened anyway, to be done in future). It sure is nice to see that done now and we can finally get our firewood under a roof!
I can only imagine the distraction and break from grieving that Rebekah got when all these angels showed up. Grieving takes so much energy. I bet these angels lifted her up with energy.
I can't help but chuckle; who knew the humble little greenhouse for Rebecca's starts would grow up to be a solar clothes dryer _and_ a sweet potato curing shed. Rest and renew, Rebecca, your little greenhouse has plenty to do in the meantime 🕊

I'm happy to see that the main part of your farm survived the water....it was close!! It is heartening to see others helping others!! We are no longer able to count on the government to assist us even when in dire need. In particular Operation Blessing. Another ministry is Samaritan’s Purse with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. Franklin Graham is in charge of that particular ministry. These ministries will help with food and water and vital necessities. Both ministries will help people rebuild their homes.
It’s not even a joke about ptsd, my brother has it after Hurricane Ian and having to rebuild boca grande Florida took a lot out of him.. so I would definitely get some mental health treatment as you are rebuilding!! ❤ from Charlotte

My best buddy in high school, Dwight I. Ade died in Vietnam. My best Army pal, Jesse Carmona, Jr. died in Vietnam. Look them up. Numerous others I knew died. I've been through earthquakes, tornados, hail, hurricanes (Hugo), 1968 typhoon, floods, grass fires, house fire, car wrecks, government eminent domain (taking our family farm), and the IRS illegally taking my property without Constitutional due process using the illegal 'Federal Register.' All my parents, grandparents, numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, and brother are dead. Through it all, I've stood with Jesus. God bless your family.

When I was 38 my mother passed from a brain aneurysm. I thought I was going to die too. The Lord Jesus carried me through.
