Wonderful video. You guys are so much fun. I love how you courted your wife. There is a Wegman’s where I live and I love it but my bro told me I have to visit the one in Rochester.
I have many friends who have worked and lived there. I think like all places, just be smart about when you go out and do buddy system. I would check local police dept for exact stats
Ahh good old U of R, conveniently located next to my shit hole neighborhood of the 19th Ward which boasts extremely high murder, robbery, and rape cases...
That wegmans is in a the MOST expensive suburb out side of the city of rochester . It is in Pitsford New York, so if you don't have a car or money for an uber you can not visit it. Trader Joe's is owned by Aldi, so if you like Aldi you will love Trader Joe's.
Yes, Pittsford is an expensive town, and access to it is limited. There is a bus line that goes down Monroe ave. I used to live in Brighton, just a few miles in towards the city. I had no trouble getting there all the time when I was in jr high and high school, with no car. You make it sound like Beverly Hills or something. No it's not, it's just your average well-off suburb for the most part. "poor" compared to wealthy suburbs near larger cities. Though when I was there it was the previous version of the store, this is a new one, completely rebuilt next to the old one, then they made the old one the new parking lot. This new one is a LOT nicer! Wegman's is really not comparable to Trader Joe's, they are two totally different animals. Trader Joe's is trendy and over rated. Wegman's is a REAL supermarket that has been setting trends for decades (106 years). Trader Joes is a trend, Wegman's SETS trends, Not even in the same league. (But I am also a former employee, so I'm biased) (PS: Wegman's is also top rated for employee satisfaction)
That's my favorite wegmans 😋 My daughter in law goes to UofR ,and they are a bit strict right now about tours because of covid19, but a absolutely check it out this summer. You have a great family there ,it's so nice to see you guys and ladies enjoyed your vacations time 😇
That sounds neat, your daughter in law, would she be interested in checking out Agape Christian Fellowship? It was life-changing for me and I know she would live it and meet many great friends there.
The only thing about this video that has anything to do with "Rochester" besides the title is your tour of the University of Rochester. A more truthful title of this video would be "Things to do in Western New York," or "Things to do INSTEAD OF visiting Rochester." . . . Wegmans in Pittsford is hardly visiting Rochester. . . Pittsford is a nice place, but it IS NOT Rochester. . . Rochester, NY has one of the HIGHEST "per capita" murder rates of any city in the United States! Somewhere like #7 on the most recent list. Buffalo is not far behind, and spend too much time in one place being a tourist there and you'll end up being the victim of a crime. . . Niagara Falls, NY is a neglected dump. Go to the Canadian side and see beautiful gardens in a safe situation, and a much better view of the American falls. . . Letchworth State Park is the Grand Canyon of the East, and a magnificent park, but it is most definitely not in Rochester. . . I grew up in Rochester, and lived across the Genesee River from the U of R on Lenox Street. It's between Genesee Street and Jefferson Avenue. The Jefferson Avenue where Daniel Prude was flipping out on PCP, and died in the street. . . This is Rochester. . . The city where the former Mayor's husband was arrested for drug dealing, and she resigned for campaign finance violations. Where you could be waiting at a traffic light and have someone freaking out on something inadvertently walk in front of your car blocking your escape while the criminal elements carjack you. . . The thugs where I lived used to recreate by shaking down the adventurous U of R students that thought it would be fun to go pick up some Soul Food over on Genesee or Jefferson. . . Do Not encourage people to visit Rochester. . . They might actually go there and get killed. . NO JOKE!
So I was curious about the highest murder rate per capita city in the US... and Rochester is not even in the top 150 cities. Would you mind sharing your source of where you found this info?

I love Aldi. When I lived in Germany I had one right at the corner near my apartment.
