@@AutumnOnFire Remember that he just needed to break robots with his quirk which if he places them right they will break themselves for him with his quirk and as long as the people scoring give it to him he is good.
Another really good point, and just further reinforces just how much of a true hero he really is. It doesn't matter if it's 1 person, or a million, he will do his utmost to protect them in any situation.
Exactly. Be one. Be a million. He's gonna save anyone who needs his help. Because that's what motivates him and what he told Nana when she asked why he wanted to be a hero.
@@megamage911 That point where you said he would protect one or a million. It doesn't matter. That just makes me more mad that Lemillion lost his quirk.
I cant believe I never caught that the person that influenced All Mights last moves was Deku. That's so beautiful and makes me love this fight even more!
I think one thing that makes this fight stand out even more is that it gains an unusual bit of tension because the good guy fighter isn't the protagonist, and the fight is nowhere near the end of the story. Not only does this fill the audience with the knowledge that the story could continue if the good guy loses the fight, but given that said good guy is the protagonist's old mentor, if anything it becomes MORE likely that the good guy will lose. The fact that All Might not only wins but survives comes as a pleasant surprise to the viewer as well as the characters, because victory was legitimately in doubt in a meta sense.
I still think my favorite part of United States of Smash is how Nana tells Toshinori to do his best. Not to win. Not to beat All for One. Just...do his best.
I don't know if it's intentional, but I like the implication that Bakugo was sweating so severely from fighting and anxiety that he could create an explosion of that size to propel him
Unless he learned how to control his quirk better, I thought that was the point if his gloves to collect the sweat and be able to release it in chunks when he wants
@Winston G well in season 2 Todoroki mentioned him being a slow starter, which strongly hints the more his body heats, the more stronger and faster he will be. He even said it himself at some point about "I'm just heating up" or something like that.
@@saceurai6629 The creator's notes mention that Bakugo does better in the summer because he sweats easier and he's a big-time slow starter during winter. Also, MANGA SPOILERS Winter suits for the win. I love that Bakugo's is reminiscent of Best Jeanist's.

But also unlike Obi-Wan he didn't just let himself get killed. I truly do think All-for-One tried his hardest to kill All-might. After all if he somehow succeeded the faith in heroes would be destroyed completely rather than just weakened.
Who is All Might. Not everyone's mask is their own psychological identity like Batman. The ideals of All Might were already there before he took on One For All.
BlurredTheLines I get chills every time I watch that scene. The combination of the momentum and force of the animation, the amazing music, and the the cry of UNITED STATES SMASH just works so well.
To be genuinely fair, his power might evolve in some interesting ways, especially if he learns to either fire off the balls, or if they can have multiple uses. Or he could get devices.
Mineta is smarter and more strategic than most students in the entirety of U.A. He just has to get over his pervertedness and the fact he has a shit quirk makes his smartness and strategicness kind of not that noticable
All Might did die in that fight. Toshinori Yagi survived. I have a lot of theories as to why All for One was so underwhelming in terms of strategy. 1. He has less room to stockpile quirks as a result of his fight with All Might previously. 2. He has been feeding the favorable quirks for killing All Might into the various Nomu he has crafted so he has less to work with. 3. AS YOU ADDRESSED (Thank you for that). He is the type of guy who likes to create despair so he had a win win scenario to fighting All Might. He either beats All Might down at his own game (no "cheap tricks") thus proving to everyone that All Might isn't the strongest. Or he loses and All Might is sapped to later be destroyed by his maniacal protege who's job is to decay society with his own hands (symbolism in Shigaraki's quirk). These are my headcanons that seem to have a lot of groundwork in the story itself so I accept them as accurate.
Gellister SBB64 Also heroes are the holders of the most powerful quirks. He couldnt take any truly great quirks without alerting All Might and getting caught before he was ready. He only managed to take one heroes quirk (Ragdoll) and that was because the League of Villains gave the heroes more pressing issues to address
@@nicholaskling2425 That's not necessarily true, anybody he stole a power from basically becomes like a husk for a bit as shown with Ragdoll, so it's not much of a stretch that maybe he stole some powers then just killed the hero. Can't find out that a quirk is stolen if the person whose quirk was stolen is dead. If he was smart with Stain he could have had him kill whatever heroes he wanted to and then before they died taken their quirk as a... insurance policy, that no one will catch Stain unless he wanted to be caught.

You don't know Yutaka Nakamura?! He's the one that animated that Bakugo scene, he also animated the last moment of Deku vs Todoroki. And I think he also animated the part in Deku vs Kaccan (season 3) when it looked like Midoriya was tapping into the speed force for a second there. There may be more that I missed. His style sticks out a lot and you instantly know that he animated something just by looking at it, especially with the appearance of the explosions and his cube debris.
Its too bad they had to use such great direction and animation for something so ridiculous and unneccessary though. Like, if bakugo could just fucking become a missile at any point why tf didnt he do that the second he was in the open. I'm sure he could have put enough force in stopping power to not injure himself too badly considering he has like partial flight with his explosions. I feel like they really overdid how strong bakugo's actual power is in this scene massively and thats the exact reason that scene WASNT in the manga.
SulfuricDrake When Todoroki formed that giant ice pillar behind the league of villains all of them, and I mean ALL of them Shigiraki included (Though only for an instant), looked first at that gigantic show of power from Todoroki, that to them came out of nowhere, to Deku, Iida and Kirishima flying through the air at ballistic speeds. The only villain who realized what was going on fast enough to do anything, Shigiraki, only came to his senses after seeing Kirishima hold out his hand for Bakugo. The window of time caused by Shigiraki's initial surprise, coupled with his current position on the battlefield gave Bakugo enough time to 1) recognize the escape attempt, 2) decide to take it and 3) create a big enough blast to rocket himself away from the field. This gave him time to gather/produce enough sweat (His quirk) that had been building up over the short fight with the League, and combine it with the desperation he felt before and the moral boost he gained through seeing his friend give him a way out, to create a big enough explosion to quickly get out of reach before anyone grabbed him. TLDR: Everyone looking at Kirishima gave Bakugo the time and the fact that Bakugo's quirk is stated to get more powerful the longer he fights/sweats with the "Morale Boost" **cough** power of friendship **cough** gave Bakugo enough Blasting power to pull it off at all. Sorry if this sounds condescending or anything, it is not my intention to be.
When small Might is revealed, I think it was so impactful because the author had seperated the two forms of All Might, not just on physical appearance, but also through personality. So when we see Small Might's steely gaze it's shocking because, even though we know they're the same person, we fully are confronted with the fact that All Might embodies his ideals no matter what form. His determination comes from his own resolve, his inner strength is his own, and what makes All Might the greatest hero, has only partially to do with his power. The facade of All Might was stripped away, but the same man remained. And some of the questions this fight asked went beyond good and evil, this was about legacy. For both of these men. Passing on the torch to a new generation, struggling to impact the future one last time, and preserving their place in the history of this struggle. When All Might say's "you're next," most people I've seen break down at the point. Because All Might is done. The greatest hero of all time, has finally fought his last battle. He left it all on the line and now there's nothing left of his power. And the sorrow of this is amplified because we feel the weight of legacy being shifted to Deku's shoulder's. And it's crushing. It weighs more than any one man can bear. The weight of the entire world now rests in Deku's shoulders. And the whole world remains oblivious to both the loss of the greatest hero and to the loss of a child's innocence. The aftermath also felt like a callback to the shows title. My hero. As amazing as Deku's fight with Muscular was, All Might played hero to the entire world. As viewers, we fully realize why All Might is the number 1 hero in the hearts of many. Why a small Child would spend hours watching his videos. And why he is the pillar of peace. And he does this all, despite just being a man. We relate to All Might because he embodies what it means to be a strong adult. His Small Might form is his real face. He's slightly cynical, he's fragile, he doesn't seem like all that much, and he wonders if he is doing the right thing. Even though his power form is essentially what makes him his world's Superman, it feels more like a metaphor for a strong front. Faking it till you make it and takling your problems head on. Being a pillar of your community, mentoring the future, and being the standard. An ordinary man, doing his best. In the end he loses his powers, but he also reconciles his two forms. Small Might still has all the things All Might had, he's still the same person. He still is the tape that holds society together, and he still is the hero of all his loved ones. He's definitely still mine. My hero.
Andrew The Mighty It was stated by the author that Midoriya did not actually ouput 1 million percent. It was a battle cry to hype himself up, if I'm recalling correctly. It was not an ass pull.
Andrew The Mighty I believe it was because Muscular took the attack directly to the head, while he absorbed most of the force from the first smash with his muscle. If you observe Muscular as he gets up from the first 100% smash, you'll see that his entire body is surrounded by extra muscle, before he retracts it back into his skin.
A lot of people say that All for One's use of his powers were uncreative. But he did say that he depleted a lot of his quirks in his fight with All Might, which means he would have to start over again with his power set. Mastering 40 different quirks and mastering all these creative combinations is not something he would have had the time to do. All for One needed to gain power as quickly as possible. So stacking a bunch of quirks on top of each other would be the most effective way to do that.
I disagree. It will be an insult to say that. The biggest reason for all for one losing is that he's an amazing mentor. He didn't take jeanist quirk and let go of other like that cause it doesn't fit with shigaraki's views of sheer power and destruction. He is smart and creative enough to learn to master all these quirks or at least use them in a "smarter" way. But he didn't. This is why he's a better mentor than all might.
@David Braun I respect your viewpoint and agree with some things you said. But one rebuttal I will offer is that All for one may not have had the time to get all those different little quirks and combinations to fight in a variety of ways in the manner you spoke of. Remember hes obviously not in the best of health here. His plan was not to fight All Might here, he was putting together quirks to give to shigaraki, not to power himself up. So what quirks he could have gotten to use for himself we dont know, but whatever the case we know the ones he has now, at least some of them were intended for Shigaraki to have and he wasnt going around collecting hundreds of quirks for himself anymore. It doesnt appear his plan was ever to give himself the best set of quirks and go at All Might full force anymore. He was retired from that role so to speak, ready to let Shigaraki be the one to have that climatic clash with All Might. Only his plan got cut short when he had to come save the LOV here and you flat out says he didnt come there intending to fight All Might tonight, but since they were both there, and they had already started the fight, he'd stay and finish it. Therefore it makes fine enough sense that he doesnt have quirks that are ready for every situation imaginable right now. He had several powerful ones on hand, and he'll use those to try and Kill All Might if he can.
@@Substantial-hf1rm I suggest to watch gigguk's video if u haven't already. He makes an excellent point about how the mha fights r boring if u look only at the fight itself and how the fights in mha are more of a clash of ideals.
@@realitysmasher6192 But the problem is I find the ideals to be overly simplistic and far too black and white to carry the fight on it own, not to mention done to death. They never really dive deep enough into any of it's themes and they don't have the balls to start really deconstructing the characters either. So it just ends up being an emotionally charged back and forth until the hero says fuck you and punches really, really, hard.
No matter how much you justify the great animation or narrative impact of MHA fights, the show is popular so people will always hate on it and call it overrated. Personally, I don’t think it’s rated highly enough. People insult it for relying on shonen tropes, but it is a shonen to the core... of course it does. Even beyond that, this show is a refinement of all shonen that has come before - it uses all of the best things we expect from a shonen while subverting other expectations when those things didn’t work. For one, filler has been slimmed down to nearly nothing (no flashback episodes) and the anime has moved at a blistering pace compared to some other classic shonen. The tournament arc has been done to death in shonen at this point, but MHA broke the mold by using it to tell narratives about side characters (Todoroki mainly) and doesn’t end in the generic way we’ve come to expect. This fight has the generic “world onlooking and cheering” moment, but as MB pointed out it is different in MHA because it’s a cry of desperation more than of support/prayer/confidence we’ve come to expect. It’s similar to other shonen, but different in all of the best ways.
So when an alien is gonna blow up your planet is not a cry of desperation then? if it will affect people like dying is a cry for desperation its been done to death DBZ was clever because it was a ruse from Mr Satan so people would give the energy to someone else. People just watch like 3 shows their whole lives?
Some people think that cliche is always bad, but that's not necessarily true. It creates a sense of familiarity, then the author feels confident about including stuff because he knows that the public will "get it", so to speak. To create something completely "new" is always risky, after all. However, cliche's bad fame arises from the abuse of its use, which makes that scene once familiar seems lazy and repetitive. Hence it's important to put new ideas and reword that boring cliche, let it more interesting. That's what MHA does and does great. It's no surprise to me it's popular; people can recognize the show as a shonen because of the cliches, but they're so well used that it isnt, you know... Black Clover. Or, (this comment in a nutshell) I agree with you.
I dislike most battle shounen in general. The fact that MHA does the genre really well elevates it to a positive score, but it still isn't *that* great.
@@NihongoWakannai Yeah. The popularity is undeniable deserved (that is, I can see why so many people like this show), but some tend to overrate its quality. I recommend MHA to pretty much anyone, however I dont put it on a pedestal and call it "the greatest shonen omg you should see RIGHT NOW". I call it "a great and really enjoyable shonen, one of the best at the moment"
I still dont like him, for me he is an example of how even people in good social positions like "heroes" or "policemen" can be kind of corrupt, i respekt his wish but not everything he did for it, because he himself stained his ideals, pun intended.
To everyone wondering why All For One didn't use any more of his quirks: who said he was done entirely? For someone supposedly "out of the commission", he's sure been mentioned and brought back into the story a lot. In one of the latest episodes, he even had a very interesting talk with All Might about the aftermath of their society which was dead accurate, despite being said evil villain being confined. He also really likes bringing up the fact that "I'm confined, what can I do?" Sure, he's been locked up in Tartarus, and supposedly has no contact with the outside world. But remember that he has the perfect counter to this. In fact, didn't he just steal it? Ragdoll's Search Quirk. Search allows him to monitor up to a hundred people at a time. If he chooses the right people, that's a LOT. That's way more than enough. All Might. Deku. Endeavor. Shigaraki. The League. His contacts, his enemies, his allies. I mean... he's a mastermind. I'd assume that's how he knows about everything going on. This man is centuries old. He's been around since the beginning of quirks; of course he's always ready to play the long con. That's exactly what he's supposed to be doing. The world doesn't know that quirks can be taken, given, passed on, et cetera. All For One wouldn't reveal all his cards at once. Remember, the public doesn't know his quirk. For all they know he's just some dude with muscle enhancements. And they definitely didn't hear him, or else Deku would be fucking dead. So if you can still use a number of your quirks that nobody knows about, and if you have a lot of helpful invisible quirks... You'd probably be using them. Right now. He could also be saving his best quirks for another rematch with the heroes at their lowest point. T h i s i s n ' t e v e n h i s f i n a l f o r m. To end this, here's a little something more to think about. In the event of the inevitable Jailbreak arc, I'd like to think that the entirety of Tartarus, all the worst villains in the world (or at least Japan) would escape. In there, we have a wild card that could inadvertently help the heroes or be an obstacle to the villains during All For One's escape: Stain.
I found it a bit frustrating that in that Tartarus scenes in the anime, they never showed Stain being locked up, while in the manga there's a whole shot to him looking at the door when All Might passes by
Yeah, Stain seems too important to be regulated to a single fight then disappear. He motivated at least two League villain, Toga and Spinner (who's just bootleg lizard Stain), and is influential in one to-be-hero's character growth, Iida.
Mardi Lune Villaluz While I have no doubt stain will be back at some point there's no way for All For One to be using a quirk even if it's invisible. They monitor vitals and can tell if someone is trying to activate their quirk, the only way this would work would be if he had a quirk that could mask other quirks, which is an annoying addition completely out of the blue.
One thing that's worth noting is that All Might gives up his powers twice: Once by passing his quirk onto Midoriya... And then by using the last of OFA to save Bakugo. In doing this, he acknowledges these heroes in training as people worthy of being his successors.
@@SPFLDAngler um excuse me? You just missed the entire point of his arc. All Might wanted to have One for All in order to become the symbol of peace, he had a choice between keeping up his hero facade or stepping down as the symbol of peace when Nighteye told him his future, but he choose to continue being a hero cause he wanted to keep society from collapsing due to not having a symbol of peace.
Starrk Primera the quote is actually “becoming an entire group of the greatest heros, and minetta.” 26:13 (just a bit before he says it for the context).
The part about ‘people who are just trying to live happy lives’ always gets me. Behind the conflict, behind the arguments and ethics and morals and politics of the world, there are so many people just trying to lead happy lives.
That's why we have heroes, not just quirk ones, but people who gets kittens out of trees, who help children and old people cross the streets, people who help the homeless, and those who try to make people happy. They stop the darkness from engulfing the innocent people by keeping the light shining bright.
I would argue Bakugo not running away is perfectly in character. He wants to teach the villains a lesson. He wants to prove his worth. He wants to show how much he can handle. Him deciding to run is him acknowledging that he was only in the way.
I just realized that All For One is literally a nameless, faceless villain, and it's fully intentional in- and out-of-universe. In-universe? He can't reveal too much. But the interesting thing is out-of-universe. He obviously represents the threat against heroes, and the public doesn't really know a single person behind it. As a result, it's more of a non-human effect. This is also why Horikoshi designed Shigaraki to wear a hand over his face, at least I think so. You need to hide his face in public. Additionally, Shigaraki is known as just part of the League of Villains in-universe, but we know his real name well because we need to know him well. And we literally do not know All For One's real name. He needs to seem as inhuman as he possibly can. Classic midnight symbolism revelations from your boy.
This is probably one of the most brilliant comments I've read so far. PS: Shigaraki having a face on his face is mostly horikoshi enjoying drawing hands, but what you say can also be possible since Horikoshi puts a lot of symbolism into his work.
I'd say the hands on Shigaraki are meant to show that All For One literally has his hands all over him. I predict he will one day turn over a new leaf and the hand motif will go away.
"It's as close to perfect as anime fights get." Exactly. My son got me watching MHA (initially I was just trying out the Crunchyroll service) but it was the clips from the final fight that convinced me to watch it all. And it's worth it. Great video.
Those air cannons were very destructive, taking out entire city blocks, it's not unbelievable to think they would tear open gas lines then throw around debris that can cause sparks. Tornadoes can start fires for the same reason.
@@ultimatehaki1 So the idea that a impact force that obliterates reinforced concrete buildings might cause an explosion on impact, isn't convincing............ OK then
Ever since I saw at the beginning of the series that All Might named his punches after areas of the United States, I was so looking forward to when he would break out the "big one". Me: "Oh shit, he's setting up for the big one. Do it, SAY THE THING!" All Might: "United..." Me: "IT'S HAPPENIIIIIIIIINNNNNNGGGGGG!" Probably my hypest anime fight moment aside from my favorite Bleach character (Ikkaku) breaking out his "secret Bankai".
honestly speaking one of the reasons my hero academia is so successful is because of just how much freedom and time the animators are given to do what they have to and add their own charm to the show. Props to studio bones for doing a great job yet again!
It makes me somewhat sad One Piece doesn't have this. While Wano is an improvement on what came before it's still bogged down with awkwardly drawn out scene's and repetition. In fact Wano has had some of the worst instances of this in the whole series. They use a lot more Sakuga than before but they pay for that with some really cringy and unwatchably awkward filler scene's. The budget of One Piece and MHA is about the same but MHA is seasonal and usually less than annual. So they can invest the same amount of money into 1 episode as OP has to put into 2,5.
The fight itself isn't particularly flashy. What it is, is powerful. Without the narrative it means almost nothing. In a worse plot, it'd be considered a clichéd mess.
It is is a cliche mess tho You have a guy that comes out of nowhere that lets himself get beaten out of using his powers in a dumb way, the methapors and themticity isnt that different from your usual shonen either What is comes down to is a generic figth with some subtext snd great animation that is really it.
The fight was cliche and there weren't very many surprises, but to say that the plot of MHA is bad then you are just wrong. The plot can be boring at times and some may not think it to be so great but that is wrong. The plot is overall quite revolutionary and new and fairly great.
i love how MHA deconstructs the paragon trope. sure, a person may inspire greatness, but if it's done like this, they're as much a pillar keeping society together as they're an inspiration for the future. so long the symbol persists, the world will move forward, but if its ever tarnished, everything could collapse onto itself, plunging society into chaos.
*When I saw it in the manga I was legit HYPED, Something I felt only when I was a kid watching anime.* after this season is over, I will forsure rewatch the whole series just to re-live that amazing moment.
All For One uses his amassed quirks in a very straightforward, simple way. While he does have a few tricks like using Gran Torino as a meat shield or evacuating the other villains, AFO's style is to just nuke whatever is in front of him. He doesn't bother mastering any of the quirks he gets, and at first I thought this implied that he loses a stolen quirk after using it. Shigaraki uses video game terminology, so let's use it here: AFO stacks buffs onto himself and then spams whatever does the most damage. I have a feeling that later in the series, Shigaraki will have AFO's incredible power but put it to use in strategy, meaning Deku will have to use his own analytical prowess and strategy to counter it.
I think there is a reason why he uses them in a straightforward way. And it is just that, simplicity. I get the feeling a good chunk of his stolen quirks are very basic in terms of power and function, but sense they are so straightforward, he can stack them and make use of them simultaneously with minimal draw back. Many quirks have logical drawbacks, especially if there power is complex, so he possibly avoids taking those sense it would require potential work around to be used optimally with all the other quirks.
All For One is a pay to win player that never bothered working hard to attain skill. They just stole the best stuff and expected to win. He's never had to work hard to be powerful and I think its likely that he hasn't spent a single moment actually training.
United States of Smash is one of those anime moments that I think has been immortalized. Like Goku's kamehameha or the first time Ichigo used bankia. I've been an anime fan since I was 10 and an illustrator for 5 years and the way that scene was animated, the score that accompanies it, the story that backed it up and the superb cast, both dubbed and subbed, who voiced it. It's one of the few scenes that get me hyped and emotional every single time I watch it
With Goku, which one? He uses the technique repeatedly through out the series. If you said Father Son, then I would agree far more, but you're a bit too vague with the moment that takes place.
I think MHA is a breath of fresh air in terms of shonen anime, because it is unabashedly shonen and wears its heart on its sleeve. It makes me think of Parks and Rec or Community, mainly because of how it's evolving the genre. Back before seinfeld, sitcoms were goofy moral of the week shows that essentially told everyone that you can solve most of your problems with good friends and family. Then we got Seinfeld, which was famously about not solving problems, and they even had a rule in the writers' room for Seinfeld that said "no hugs, no problems being solved." It was a kind of ironic detachment meant to deconstruct the sitcom as a genre, to make us think "Wait, why is so much value assigned to X, Y, and Z in these shows?" And then The Office, Community, and Parks and Rec came out. They were sitcoms that were kind of an answer to Seinfeld's cynicism, and the answer they arrived at was "These things are important because we choose to give them value, and it's okay to think that friends helping you solve problems is a good thing." The characters in these sitcoms chose to value friendship and the relationships with the people around them, and that is what helped them get through each day. To tie it all back in, MHA is a show kind of returning to those shonen roots of never giving up, trying your hardest, and the good guy winning, but it does it with the knowledge of things like one punch man already having been considered. In some ways All Might is an answer to Saitama. Saitama gets really bored and only incidentally solves problems, and is almost never shown as being heroic in terms of contests of strength, but All Might is about as supreme as Saitama when it comes to fighting. Nobody can really touch him outside of a guy with the most bullshit quirk you could think of, even when he's running around with a hole in his stomach and half his organs missing. The difference between the two? Saitama is being a hero for selfish reasons, because he's bored, but if he wanted to he could 100% choose to be a symbol of peace, to go public and announce that he would protect the world and kill any monsters that want to get some, but instead chooses not to. All might made that decision, and in doing so he decided to value the relationships with the people he knows and even the ones he doesn't know. He chose to value friendship and to place the burden of the entire world on his shoulders. He is an answer to the cynicism of shonen shows like OPM, JoJo's, and even DBS, all of which have main characters that generally do things for selfish reasons, be it vengeance, boredom, or, in goku's case, just being a fucking idiot and causing problems because he's an idiot. tl;dr if you wanna know why MHA is so good, take a look at some of the criticisms of postmodernism and how art is evolving beyond it. It's not bad because it uses a bunch of tropes and the good guys win. It's good because of those things.
Fuck yeah. I consider the trend of Reconstructions following all the deconstructor fleets of recent times to be a very positive one. Tearing something down has a very different meaning when you either build it back up, or replace it with something else, versus just saying 'this isn't true' and leaving a void.
Sobepome I don’t recall Goku causing any conflict cause he was an idiot He didn’t cause Frieza Literally no one knew about Zamasu’s evil Zeno was going to destroy some universes anyway
There's a term for this actually, someone else mentioned it in reply: reconstruction. Another great example is Kill La Kill, which in many ways is the reconstruction response to Madoka deconstructing the mahou shoujo genre (and the subsequent barrage of hangers-on failing to understand what made Madoka unique and interesting and still ultimately hopeful and triumphant despite its dark subject matter... looking at you, Yuuki Yuna...)
I feel like this is... somewhat disingenuous to Saitama as a character. Yes, Saitama selfishly seeks out a challenge as his first motivation, but he VERY clearly has no intention of letting innocent people be killed, either - did you see how legitimately upset he seemed before killing the Sea King, for example, sparing no time whatsoever for playtime or challenges, or how legitimately somber he seemed when he realized that all the destruction he let Boros amass didn’t bring him the satisfaction he saught? Saitama IS absolutely a hero, he just doesn’t need to religiously dedicate every inch of his screentime to it - this is a point he explicitly addressed when a bunch of degenerate heroes were picking on him partway into Season 1. I get the comparison you were attempting to draw, but there’s no need to dunk on another series to make that comparison.
@@danielola-abidoye1365How about the time he was quite literally responsible for the Cell game arc's death count because he gave Cell a senzu bean rather than letting his buddies obliterate a clearly weakened threat because "muh fair fight"?

It kinda makes me sad to hear people say that. BNHA is great, but a lot of other shonen stories are also among the best stories ever written. RUclips channels similar to this are sorta built on that, and I think if you look you'll find a lot of shonen stories you can take seriously.

Probably cause its a Drama. Most shonen battle series aren't, so they spend less time on their characters psyche, emotions, and even less so their evolutions. (obviously not all, but definitely most)
Couldn't agree more. MHA is the only shonen in a decade worth my time. Im not saying natuto is trash, but its not worth a 1000 episode commitment. No show is, PERIOD. MHA makes ne cry, and I'd drop it if it went over like 300eps
Only one thing I disagree with is the Bakugo getting away on his own part, because its Bakugo. Someone who rather than think about how to get away safely would use all his brains to think of the best way to *fight* his way out of the problem. And seeing Kirishima, someone who he knows is exactly the same, who rather face his issues head on crushing them with pure strength rather than trying to work around them smartly, offering his hand in escape, not only opens up that route to Bakugo, it *forces* him to look at something he was not focused on at the time. The possibility of escape without having to beat all the bad guys to a pulp.
@@ncervantes1254 he makes a good point though. Bakugo isn't dumb, but he definitely wasn't focused on escape. But I think it is worth noting that this was the anime. In the manga, their help looked a lot more necessary.
@@Dead_L4st well, Bakugo himself thought that he wasn't able defeat all of them, when "hand face guy" released him, he try to attack but only to be able to escape, no fight and defeat everyone there, he could be thinking that fight is not avoidable, but he was trying to escape, he knew that All Might couldn't go full force with him there
In most cases yes that would be Bakugo's thoughts. But he knows that he is at a disadvantage number wise and he realizes that him being there is a hindrance on All Might. Around that time Deku's plan goes into fruition and he sees it as the best opportunity to escape and let All Might beat All for One.
You have to consider that Bakugo knows he's at disadvantage and also he knows that only pro heroes can actually fight without repercussions so he's thinking of a way of fighting without having to actually fight
God, this fight. Even watching second-hand video footage of the fight makes me emotional. I remember eating soup when I watched it, so intently wrapped up in the action that I let my soup go cold, and so touched by All Might's plight that I cried and cried into my cold bowl of soup. Add that to the fact that MHA make me cry every other episode. Favourite anime of all time; favourite fight scene of all time.
I always thought it would have been more appropriate for the American themed All Might to throw "United States of Smash" and for it to form a nuclear mushroom cloud on impact. Nothing is more American than nukes. Oh wait it's a show from Japan scratch the nuke idea there some bad history there
Only way this could be *any* more inappropriate is if All For One used Japanese cities as the names for his attacks, and All Might's "Nuke USOS" broke through his Hiroshima Smash. Why yes, we shall be enjoying our ride to hell together.
Exactly! It's not another fight in the story is what made the world change it made endeavor second guest and doubt everything he has done it made the bad guys strive for more and push the hero's In Training to work hard, it change the way the world saw society and it affect the story even now Almost 100 chapters later in the case of the manga everything was change due to this single fight it was a turning point in the whole narrative
To be fair, I highly doubt Bakugou was sure he was going to escape on his own. He was pinned down. Deku & Co made a bit of a show, gaining everyones attention and Kirishima was needed to give Bakugou not only the incentive to follow, but the trust to succesfully execute the escape. He's so hotheaded but in that part of the fight he was insanely careful, since any error would mean that All Might was going to be screwed. So he really needed a plan that he'd be sure would work, and with all the rubble around i doubt he was able to find a good escape route between all the attacks he had to dodge. But, amazing video, absolutely cannot have enough of that fight and you analyzed it amazingly. Good job!
didn't happen yet, but I'm sure as hell that Izuku VS Katsuki 2 (Midoriya VS Bakugo 2) will be worthy to be in animelee EDIT: Now the epic battle happened and I can confirm ot is worthy
GameFanaticBR MB did say he'd probably get a video out of it, so we can look forward to that. He loves this series and it's very current so I think he'll keep doing it
Having just watched that episode today, he’ll be doing it. One of the best fights this show has produced and very important in terms of the a character stuff he focusses on.
It's a shame that these days, many people mindlessly watch Shounen anime which leads to many people calling this fight and this show boring, when they just "watch" these shows while playing on their phone or playing a game. Thanks for making these great videos that hopefully enlighten people like those to rewatch and appreciate more quality shows like this.
12:10 person who animated that scene with bakugo is same guy who worked on one punch man, you can actually see the difference in style like when bakugo flies and speaks
26:30 It really feels like the finale of an anime. All might was the hero in his own story and now that story has ended and he has entered his epilogue.
I understand the fight between all for one and all might doesn't have much choreography like other good anime fights but it was an intense battle, with a shocking twist (shigiraki's identity) and with a good climactic so that's a plus. What do you guys think? Could it have been better or no?
It could have been better. I won't say shigaraki's identity was so surprising or something (it was kinda underwhelming tbh) but it was a good fight. I think saying it's one of the best fights in anime is a bit much. But it's good. All for one was also a bit underwhelming but I like him. I still think the stain fight was better. But it's good. The soundtrack was fucking awesome tho!
David Braun understandable. You can make the argument that the reason he couldn’t use that many cause he stated that he couldn’t stock pile as many quirks as he used to or that the mangeka just nerfed him.
He’s done all of the “super crazy well animated” parts in the series (all might vs. the nomu, the Deku/Todoroki high five, Deku vs. Bakugo, and some Movie scenes
The explosions behind All Might just before the United States of Smash is from All for one. He launched an attack from his left hand, that's why All Might ducks down so low to dodge it before moving in on the final hit.
the scene where bakugo jumps was made by Nakamura Yutaka, the same key animator that made the final scene from dekuvs todoroki fight (the scene where todoroki goes on fire and deku jumps through the ice)
This scene makes me tear up and your analysis of it is perfectly articulates why it's good and carries the emotional weight of it with the technical praise. Thank you.
Great breakdown. Honestly one of the best parts of this was that desperation scene of the country if not the world crying out for All Might to win. They do capture that different feeling from the norm. The world is so desperate and need him to win. Not simply wanting him to win because they like the guy. And yet it perfectly fits. For Deku and Bakugo especially they want him to win for so many reasons and don't want to see their ideal and hero fall. And yet in a lot of ways it works because All Might willingly established himself as that pillar. He knew society was weak and needed it. And so long as he possibly can he'll rise up to meet their desperate hopes. But it still brings a great smile to see the other pros arriving to help. They can't match this guy and they know that. But they have been so inspired by All Might's life and career that they want to help him in any small way they can. And that does mean something at the end of the day. It helps just a bit and that's enough. Fully agree that anyone saying this fight was lazy or mindless is just wrong. So much thought and effort was put into the story for this fight and presenting it to the viewers. It's a really good fight.
29:30 Actually, as some other commenter has pointed out, the explosion comes from AFO shooting off another air cannon, but All Might gets low with his punch, and it misses entirely. Also because it looks cool.
so many youtube videos like this are poorly done, poorly analyzed, or just uninteresting but you did a great job, and pointed out so many things I missed. great job
You know, All Might actually did finish the job, so to speak. All Might legit killed All for One, but because he had an Immortality Quirk he came back to life anyways. That’s why All Might says that THIS time, he’ll bring him in, as imprisoning him is the only long term solution.
He didn’t come back to life. He was always alive. All might thought he died so he left the body alone ( I mean All Might has his organs fucked so he himself couldn’t detain the body but could only destroy it ) and around the time All Might was carried to the hospital All For One escaped ( probably with some help from some other villains )
So, after looking back through the manga, the good guys believe that at some point All For One stole a longevity quirk that basically gives him eternal youth (explaining why he's lived so long without ill effects). Given that All Might also BELIEVED that he KILLLED All For One, we can thus assume that All For One 's quirk list includes a way to survive lethal blows (though this Quirk may have been lost, as All For One does mention that it would take him a while to actually amass enough Quirks to be competitive again). So if he most likely has a Quirk(s) that gives him long life, eternal youth, and durability/regeneration enough to overcome DEATH, doesn't that mean he is essentially *IMMORTAL* . I'm not sure if he's still Immortal, as I said before that the Quirks he had amassed were lost at some point, likely as a consequence of being killed by All Might and "using up" the Quirk(s), in the same way that All Might eventually "used up" the power of One For All.
I love the difference in animation between Deku's 1,000,000% smash vs Muscular, and United States of Smash vs AfO. IMO I felt Deku's smash, while it was satisfying and flashy, was quick and didn't have the actual impact I expected. It was a strong attack but it felt like it tore through Muscular like paper. In contrast, USoS has a both a large wind up, and an "OOMPH" to thr actual impact. USoS gets caught on AfO, and actually tears him down, almost like the viewer can physically feel All Might's fist make contact with AfO's face. Just something I felt personally. To me, the final smash of All Might more than made up for the disappointment I got from Deku's 1,000,000% smash.
Draven Smith It should've been 100% to compensate for how weak it felt or at least 1000% or 110% not fucking 1,000,000%. It should've been just as or even more powerful than USoS.
DJ Flame One of them would probably die. Most likely All for one. Since all might defeated all for one then deku should be able to beat him because one for all gets stronger every time it's passed down so deku should be stronger than all might. So, he should be able to beat him. If deku doesn't plan his smash than he will die. All for one would kill him and deku wouldn't be able to defend himself because of his broken arm
You know that this fight scene and especially the final punch had a lasting impact (haha, get it?) when just the engrish of "united states of smash" gives you goosebumps
I think one of the hardest-hitting lines in this video is simply the phrase “Using strength he *doesn’t* have left…” Because it really is incredible how far All Might pushes himself beyond his limits, just to make a statement. He can barely stay on his feet, yet he’s holding up a fist and buffing himself back up despite all reason saying it’s impossible. Because he needs to. It’s his job.
Anyone who says this battle is trash I really have pity for. This was a battle of symbols more than anything else, and it mattered that All Might be beaten with a massive punch--and one comprised of many, many hands (perhaps representing the various villains All Might defeated, or the various people All For One has stolen quirks from) at that. The one issue I had about the anime was how it didn't showcase Horikoshi's insane rendering of that arm quite as well as it was in the manga, but that complaint is similar to how Shigaraki's face reveal at the shopping mall was also simplified for the anime. I really Geoff will do Animelee for Deku vs Bakugo in time.
An excellent breakdown of the fight and how it serves as an awesome conclusion to what you accurately state is Act One for the series. My Hero Academia is one of those series which stands to potentially revolutionize the genre. Both playing it straight by deconstructing it (how the peace has been maintained and hinges on one man) in the first act, and is now in the process of reconstructing it as they pick up the pieces of a shattered peace and rebuilding it. And it plays it all straight.
Easily the best shonen fight from the current shonen anime. Even if people say it was poor on choreography or anything like that, I have to remind you that Gon vs Pitou fight was easily the poorest in quantity, yet one of the best in quality. Watching a good fight in TV doesnt mean how flashy a punch and movements are, but the stakes, the emotions, the strategies, the psychology, etc. If it was just "flashy", then one piece or fairy tail or stuff like that would have the best fights :P
One piece is by no means just "flashy" so I don't know why you put that in the same category as the abomination that is fairy tail. pretty much every fight in that show is a clash of ideology that has stakes and emotional weight in it
Gon Vs Pitou was better animated than this, easily. Also if we're talking about Hunter X Hunter, Netero Vs Meruem absolutely blows this fight out of the water in every conceivable way.
Meruem vs. Netero is the most overrated (albeit beautifully animated and choreographed) fight in that series, Kurapika vs. Uvogin, and Gon vs. Genthru blow it out of the water in terms of creativity and character development.
Most of HxH fights are miles better than this fight, or a fight sich as sasuke vs naruto or obito vs kakashi, those were great fights, this just has alot of emotional value, but in a fight sense it's not even a top 10 shonen fight
Honestly though, the saddest part of this whole thing is All For One actually won the fight. He achieved at least part of his goal by completely decommissioning All Might. He's only locked up in prison, so I'm sure he'll easily be able to break out when the moment is right and all of his pieces are already in place to keep his plan going even without him. Now All Might is in a very vulnerable position and couldn't fight back if he needed to, plus his title and position has been stripped from him. All For One is probably the most brilliant and malicious villain I have ever seen, a villain to fear for sure.
In the darkest of days no matter how little light no evil will escape my sight darkness will always kneel before the light, where theres danger death, and a villainous blight i will bring them down with my might never fear if evil is near beware villians and those who cause plight for I am here I am ALL MIGHT!
Other anime: Our fights start off as normal fist fight, but before we get to the climax fight we'll have to think of cool upgrade. We need laser, power sword, etc. This anime: All For One: I'll combine all the boost quirks to punch you really hard. All Might: What if I dodge it and punch you really hard?
This fight still sends chills down my spine. From Bakugou's BEAUTIFULLLY animated rescue, to All Might's UNITED STATES OF SMASH! I will never not love it. Even now, I am still completely shook.
I have watched this fight a number of times... and I can't lie... I still get teary despite knowing how it ends. I seem to love it more each time I watch it 🙈 💖
As amazingly and beautifully as that confrontation is choreographed, I almost hesitate to call it an actual fight. Since Netero (despite his astounding ability and titanic determination) is shown at every turn to stand no chance on the physical front, and in the end Meruem himself acknowledges that it was over before it even began. I would say that, given the OP nature of Meruem, (even if he's one of the best designed and executed OP characters of all time) it's better to do studies on his character rather than his fights, cuz nobody (even Final Gon, IMO) can hold a candle to him.
+alearnedman This fight he just talked about is about as character and story driven as this fight. the characters and story attributes were more analyzed that the actual fight itself because that's what was most important. Meruem vs Netero was a Battle in which both sides threw a multitude of attacks back at each other with their own motivations and goals. As an audience member we had no idea how it would completely play out because we'd never seen either fight full out either. Similar to this fight. In the end we found out he was out matched, but it was definitely still a fight especially with that explosive ending. There was a decent amount of strategy in the battle, in it's set up and then the end. So I would definitely call it a fight to analyze. Gon be Pitou now that wasn't a fight, that was one side being obviously overpowered compared to the other from almost the get go.
Perhaps, but I'm still much more interested in the dynamic between Meruem and Komugi than anything that happened during or as a result of his confrontation with Netero. And maybe it's just because I've seen enough wise old characters willingly go to their deaths or because of just how hard and for how long Meruem's OP factor had been built up, but for me personally, the explosion was literally the only thing about the fight I found outright surprising. I would say HxH has far more interesting (if admittedly far less incredible) battles for an in depth analysis, Kurapika vs. Uvogin, Gon vs. Genthru, Knuckle and Morel vs. Youpi, even the dodgeball game against Razer.
@@alearnedman Fair enough and of course I would love to see all of those battles analyzed because they're all pretty damn interesting in their own way. I would just love to see this one the most personally because while I understand most of the insight and feeling of that is happening in the battle, the full scope of the battle and learning more about the framing of the scenes and just in general someone else's insight to the battle would still be quite interesting to me. And personally it's just one of my favorite fights in general so seeing it analyzed would be nice. But strangely I don't think he's gonna do it, he doesn't seem to do much or care to talk about HXH at least from what I've seen.
One thing that took me ages to realise is that the explosion at 29:29 was caused by All for One launching another air-cannon blast past All Might. There's even the sound effect for it, it just gets drowned out. Doesn't stop it from looking even more amazing though.

Mineta slander will not be tolerated
Good point, having some pressure on Stain to keep the high ground.
I don't think he wanted to kill All Might, he needs his protege to have that drive
its true though, all for one probably would have won if he didn't give shock absorption to the original nomu

Ya, those impact frames are a dead giveaway
Of course it is, though its somewhat telling that Geoff couldn't just place that immediately
But where did she animate Toru in the shots?
My hero.

Okay.
Andrew The Mighty It was stated by the author that Midoriya did not actually ouput 1 million percent. It was a battle cry to hype himself up, if I'm recalling correctly. It was not an ass pull.
@@shade0636 Then why did it work all of a sudden?

I get what your saying but that doesn't change the fact that the fight was just a few punches which I personally find dull.
Nana doesn’t just offer words of encouragement.

Or, (this comment in a nutshell)
I agree with you.
I dislike most battle shounen in general. The fact that MHA does the genre really well elevates it to a positive score, but it still isn't *that* great.

He also really likes bringing up the fact that "I'm confined, what can I do?"
Sure, he's been locked up in Tartarus, and supposedly has no contact with the outside world.
In there, we have a wild card that could inadvertently help the heroes or be an obstacle to the villains during All For One's escape:
Stain.
Mardi Lune Villaluz holy shit that's genius.
@@some-one-else It is possible that Ragdoll's Search isn't something he needs to activate. It could just be on at all times.
The fact that Studio Bones can make a terrified face on a character that has no face is amazing in and of itself
One thing that's worth noting is that All Might gives up his powers twice:
Once by passing his quirk onto Midoriya...
And then by using the last of OFA to save Bakugo.
In doing this, he acknowledges these heroes in training as people worthy of being his successors.
Or he just doesn't want it anymore?.. It doesn't have to be some super emotional meaning it can just be the guy is old and tired and wants to move on.
@@SPFLDAngler way to miss the entire point of his character arc

26:13 (just a bit before he says it for the context).
I thought Horikoshi hates drawing hands?
no he loves it read the manga
He loves it, but he keeps doing things that ends up making his job harder.
Hense why Shigaraki tends to wear less hands now.
I'd say the hands on Shigaraki are meant to show that All For One literally has his hands all over him. I predict he will one day turn over a new leaf and the hand motif will go away.

LOL Icon ı wonder if AFO can transfer his original quirk.
LOL Icon That would be awesome
LOL Icon Deku vs Shigaraki the battle of the nerds
It's one of the few scenes that get me hyped and emotional every single time I watch it
I would also like to nominate the two iconic Colonel Roy Mustang "fights" (read: executions) from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.
With Goku, which one? He uses the technique repeatedly through out the series. If you said Father Son, then I would agree far more, but you're a bit too vague with the moment that takes place.
"Discovering a spider under the toilet seat" That is SUCH a good analogy
I was on the toilet as he said which made it kinda creepy for me
I think MHA is a breath of fresh air in terms of shonen anime, because it is unabashedly shonen and wears its heart on its sleeve. It makes me think of Parks and Rec or Community, mainly because of how it's evolving the genre.
Back before seinfeld, sitcoms were goofy moral of the week shows that essentially told everyone that you can solve most of your problems with good friends and family. Then we got Seinfeld, which was famously about not solving problems, and they even had a rule in the writers' room for Seinfeld that said "no hugs, no problems being solved." It was a kind of ironic detachment meant to deconstruct the sitcom as a genre, to make us think "Wait, why is so much value assigned to X, Y, and Z in these shows?"
And then The Office, Community, and Parks and Rec came out.
Sobepome I don’t recall Goku causing any conflict cause he was an idiot
He didn’t cause Frieza
Literally no one knew about Zamasu’s evil
Zeno was going to destroy some universes anyway

Only one thing I disagree with is the Bakugo getting away on his own part, because its Bakugo. Someone who rather than think about how to get away safely would use all his brains to think of the best way to *fight* his way out of the problem.
And seeing Kirishima, someone who he knows is exactly the same, who rather face his issues head on crushing them with pure strength rather than trying to work around them smartly, offering his hand in escape, not only opens up that route to Bakugo, it *forces* him to look at something he was not focused on at the time.

I like how he managed to make a breakdown 4 times longer than the actual fight
Clearly you don't know Mauler
Bruh I cried again
can't handle all of the feels
Calm down, deku
Good job!
Oh yea he was scared af! He knew that this situation wasn't a breeze and he couldn't fight carelessly
Remember when everyone (with the exception of Manga readers) thought Nomu was the strongest villain in the Show.
He still is fairly powerfull.

I think you should do Scar Vs Wrath from FMA brotherhood. I don't hear enough people talk about this fight for how good it is
One of the best fight of all time, narratively and choreography wise.
Aleczandxr made some great analysis of it in his videos on both Scar and Wrath
nick bommarito I agree!!!
I freaking love that fight. Studio Bones is probably the best at making fight scenes.
I'd like to see anything for FMAB, I don't care what
didn't happen yet, but I'm sure as hell that Izuku VS Katsuki 2 (Midoriya VS Bakugo 2) will be worthy to be in animelee
EDIT: Now the epic battle happened and I can confirm ot is worthy
GameFanaticBR MB did say he'd probably get a video out of it, so we can look forward to that. He loves this series and it's very current so I think he'll keep doing it
@@moonkid3132 I see... however, asking for it doesn't hurts anyone and costs nothing

They probably spoiled themselves without watching the series and the build up to it
12:10 person who animated that scene with bakugo is same guy who worked on one punch man, you can actually see the difference in style like when bakugo flies and speaks
Mate, there were plenty of great animators who worked on scenes for one punch man.
But you're talking about yutaka nakamura.

It really feels like the finale of an anime.
JK Network it was great but I wish afo would have used some more quirks in a cool way
JK Network wait so I am the only one who saw it coming with shigaraki truth
reality smasher well said👍
David Braun understandable. You can make the argument that the reason he couldn’t use that many cause he stated that he couldn’t stock pile as many quirks as he used to or that the mangeka just nerfed him.
This is simply the BEST anime analysis Ive ever seen! Ive lost count of my goosebumps watching this.
12:12 Its Yutaka Nakamura. Same guy who did the epic climax of deku vs todoroki in the tournament.
29:30
Actually, as some other commenter has pointed out, the explosion comes from AFO shooting off another air cannon, but All Might gets low with his punch, and it misses entirely.
Also because it looks cool.
so many youtube videos like this are poorly done, poorly analyzed, or just uninteresting but you did a great job, and pointed out so many things I missed. great job
The mentor learned from the protégé, I literally cried at that point. 😭❤️
I can't believe I missed the switching of the arms.
Thank you for enlightening me. This fight was truly one that will inspire me for a very long time.
Idk about yall but I have never been bored when all for one is on the screen
You know, All Might actually did finish the job, so to speak. All Might legit killed All for One, but because he had an Immortality Quirk he came back to life anyways. That’s why All Might says that THIS time, he’ll bring him in, as imprisoning him is the only long term solution.
Hacks I call hacks
He didn’t come back to life. He was always alive. All might thought he died so he left the body alone ( I mean All Might has his organs fucked so he himself couldn’t detain the body but could only destroy it ) and around the time All Might was carried to the hospital All For One escaped ( probably with some help from some other villains )
hat has never been stated at any point. there is no evidence that All for One is immortal
Tristan Bigornia if he is immortal why doesn’t he just walk out of the prison, since the guns and guards can’t hurt him?
This episode has one of my favorite laine's in the whole show when Endeavor tells All Might to "show them why you're better". That hit me different
I still get chills every time I watch this scene!
He used that smash in conjunction with 5%
Mir Pur but imagine if young All Might used 1,000,000% Detroit Smash against All for One
Mir Pur
Father-Son USoS
You know that this fight scene and especially the final punch had a lasting impact (haha, get it?) when just the engrish of "united states of smash" gives you goosebumps
I think one of the hardest-hitting lines in this video is simply the phrase “Using strength he *doesn’t* have left…”
Because it really is incredible how far All Might pushes himself beyond his limits, just to make a statement.
LITERALLY JUST WATCHED THIS EPISODE FOR THE FIRST TIME, IM NOT CRYING, YOU'RE CRYING!
29:28 The explotion is cause All for One missed his left arm charged shot.
One piece is by no means just "flashy" so I don't know why you put that in the same category as the abomination that is fairy tail. pretty much every fight in that show is a clash of ideology that has stakes and emotional weight in it
Rewatch Meruem vs Netero.. way more quality that shit was true art ( the whole episodes not just the fighting )
You call him darth Vader but I call him no-face bane
You mean potato bane?

All For One: I'll combine all the boost quirks to punch you really hard.
All Might: What if I dodge it and punch you really hard?

I just noticed that All-for-One's arm has *another* arm on top of it.
Gross.
And terrifying.
That would be his multiplier quirk
Yeah, when you realize that that small arm is the original, and that giant, twisted mass is just sort of manifested.
This fight still sends chills down my spine. From Bakugou's BEAUTIFULLLY animated rescue, to All Might's UNITED STATES OF SMASH! I will never not love it. Even now, I am still completely shook.

All For One: Tomura is Nana's grandson
All Might: No.
Great video! I'm curious if you ever plan on doing the Meruem and Netero fight? One of also the most well made and important fights in anime imo.
YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! *YESS!*
We all know our eyes were in tears.... When
