You're welcome! And also, I love Brazil! I was there last summer in São Paulo and also in the Pantanal

Can I use this as filament storage after it’s dried?

      Absolutely

No, you cannot. Since the unit is not sealed and moisture will return once the unit is turned off.

    Where does the moisture go?

There are hokes with gaskets for filament to be run into the printer. It goes out there. Doesn't hurt to toss a desiccant pack in there.

@@davetriesthisthere is a hole in the transparent lid about half way up it. Even if there is filament in the filament holes it can still vent the moisture.

Thanks for pointing this out. Can't seem to find them in the uk amazon. Other sites seem to be adding quite a bit extra on top. Ill keep an eye on the price i guess

They might be too new to be on Amazon there. Creality might not have added them and I don't know if they have a distributor there like 3D uncle does

It's good to get a second opinion, and Amazon has them. This device and its two-spool version seem to have some fundamental engineering problems, which is consistent with my two Creality printers: excellent in some ways, half-baked in others. This problem pervades the 3-D printing industry, affecting even Bambu Labs (judging by my three BL printers). What I can't understand is why engineers so smart in most ways would be blind as a bat to problems that strike me and many others as glaringly obvious.

I have recently discovered a problem with a new printer. I'm not going to name the company since this is an early model and I'm talking to engineers to see if it's a one off. But it's something that should not have gotten past early testing. It's a bit weird to me.
I think the companies are in an arms race right now and are rushing things.

Engineers, while very smart, do have specialized field which they excel in. Most guys who design 3d printers are either mechatronics or electronics engineers. They don't deal much with drying mechanics, which are mostly used in the field of food manufacturing and some industrial engineering.
They know it because its basic engineering, but sometimes it slips through because they rarely think about it in their normal job.

Not all things are designed by engineers, there are parts on the hubble that I designed as a 19yo tinkerer. I ended up going to school and designed missiles and weapon systems for a certain company that starts with L. I worked with engineers because they saw something I designed on my bench and threw me at a problem for an independent view. I came up with a solution and I was given a certificate for my work. I also was given a scholarship and a permanent job. I was going to college at the time. I have certificates from all kinds of projects, including an award from the president. I have worked with NASA, DARPA,JPL and Westinghouse. I loved my job.

I hope it’s better than their filament dryer 2.0. I have 2 of them and they are junk.

That's why my previous dryer was that Sovol.
