Prusa 2.7 Will Eliminate The Most Common Failed Print Problem
Getting one on Black Friday with the K1C printer to go together!
Instead of using that extra-expensive support filament, did you try using PETG as support for PLA prints and vice-versa? Works like a charm and is extremely cheap, too.
THANK YOU David!! Just bought one of these Neptune 4 Max printers for my son, and your advice will save us both a lot of frustration and heartache!!!
I bought the Neptune 4 and for whatever reason if I use supports at like 5 inches the print always fails but if I don’t use supports I goes through just fine any help would be great. Thanks
I can’t get this thing to work . I got the software going. It’s connected. I’m sending files. They start to print and nothing just a dripping from the plate . The plate dips into resin, then pulls out of tub then starts to make mechanical noises going up and down with it just dripping into tub. Machine just doesn’t work right if anyone can help me out here please help.
I was wondering if i should buy the Ender V3 Plus or the K1 Max ? Right now the K1 Max goes for 670 EUR and the V3 Plus for 400 EUR.
I have been looking for an answer to this question but i couldn't find it, how fast can you print without the auxiliary fans running ehile maintaining safe and high quality printing
Do you know if i can setup a camera at a different location as long as it gets internett?
It doesn't need internet it just needs to connect to the wireless signal of the base station. Which is also 2.4ghz but reaches quite far.
@@davetriesthis I think he meant that he wants to put the camera somewhere else that has internet (4G vs wifi i dont know, he didnt specify) not within range of the homebase
I will receive my neptune 4 plus in a few days, what steps should I take to configure it correctly?
Here give this other video of mine a watch. Neptune 4 Max -You MUST do these steps to get good prints and fix the problems. ruclips.net/video/C5ZZnfse4LI/видео.html Applies to the plus as well as the max.
Learned some now things thanks, i had 3 n4max. Just bought 5 more + 1 neptune plus.
Wow. That's going to be a great setup. Print farm?
@@davetriesthis I hope one day, for now i will call it my mini print farm :p
Both printers need to figure out how to run tpu through ams and ace those don't like flexi filaments
2:05 "If you're in the market for a reliable keyboard with great features, the MX Keys S is definitely the one to beat."? How were you able to judge reliability?
Great question. I've used the MX series of keyboards for years now, as well as Apple's, and many others. But in the last six months I've evaluated about 10 Mac keyboards for reviews I write for tech websites. The MX Keys feels great, is reliable, and is just a joy to type on. I also really like the Keychron I tested though it's a whole different type of keyboard. I use it a lot for video editing where the feedback feels like a good video editing deck.
hey Dave or anyone.... i just bought a neptune 4 but when i print the nozzle hits the infill... level is perfect on the first layers and when i get past the infill all seems to be good again... im desperate and want to go back to my neptune 3 but i want a faster printer. so plz help me
Here is another video showing an alternative method, in my opinion, quite a lot easier: ruclips.net/video/LtK0zQTve7I/видео.htmlsi=qd1sC9AQfBvZGSbM
Cool, thanks for the link!
Hi, does it need internet connection and online account to work ? Or is a local wifi network with no internet connectivity sufficient to connect to the base station to access video footage ?
Hey Dave! You're awesome-adjacent. Close to awesome. Pretty relatable and not pretentious. I intend to watch more of your vids. Thanks for these handy tips!
Wow, thanks! I'll takea awesome-adjacent any day!
For a bird photographer, do you think it is worthy the money difference of the alfa 1 mark ii when comparing with A7RV?
Absolutely.
Remember the support filament is only supposed to be used for the interface layer of your supports and your print. The rest of the support can be anything. You shouldn't burn through 500g of support filament fast unless you overuse supports, use the support filament incorrectly or you just print all the time.
Yup good point! I should have really pointed that out.
Dave, thanks. New guy and first printer, and your videos have been great. Just managed to do the firmware update successed ( :) ). Your videos alongside Elegoos are really helpful. Thanks for doing this.
You just made my week. Thank you so much for taking the time to post this comment.
I'm not sure which one to buy, Ender 3V3 Plus or Bambu Lab A1? Which is better? 🎉
A1 is easier to use. 3v3 Plus if you want the bigger bed size.
Hello do you prefer the wired or battery operated version?
Well wired is nice because it's always powered but the convenience of the solar powered battery one is really hard to beat.
Hi I’m looking for recommendations on a mirrorless camera. I am trying to do videos for RUclips and social media. I’m looking to record footage in 4k with little to no crop but with out a time limit. And most of my footage will be recording in low light settings. For example a music studio with only neon lights for lighting and night clubs for recording live performance.
None of the cameras have time limits anymore. That was based on EU tarrifs that expired that charged more for a video camera import than a still camera. The 30 min recording limit was what made something a video camera. The Sony a7s III is a low-light monster. The a7C II is also great and less expensive. Both have low-enough megapixel count that the individual pixels are bigger, which gathers more light. A7S III - geni.us/dtta7s3 (affiliate) a7C II - geni.us/dtta7c2 (affiliate)
Noise level too high, layer shift
I am new to 3d printing and have a creality k1c and have had a few issues with it but have worked through them. I am wanted to get a larger printer to print rc airplanes. Would this be a good printer to upgrade to to make the rc planes with?? Thanks
It's been rock solid for me.
its not a mechanical keyboard, its magnetic.
While that's true, I think we can still call it mechanical. It's what we call keyboards with individual switches. A membrane keyboard also works due to mechanical principles, but we don't call it that.
@@brei2670 But membrane keyboards also have individual switches, the membrane gets compressed and a circuit is formed and registered as a keystroke. I would say a hall effect keyboard is further away from from both membrane and mechanical keyboards technically.
@@zuldo8577 individual keys, but not individual switches... The membrane contains the contacts for all keys, and the rubberdome layer that doubles for the springs is also one piece. In any case, it's still all mechanical, technically. And so are magnets that move on linear actuators, aka keyswitches. No keyboard works without mechanics, unless it's a touchscreen keyboard or one of those laser projected ones. In terms of how they're built, hall effect keyboards are a lot closer to ordinary mechanical ones.
Agreed here. But also they call it a mechanical keyboard, so when I say it's mechanical it's literally in the name. :)
I appreciate your humorous commentary!
That made my day Seth, thank you! It's comments like that that keep me going.
if they would stop using us users a freaking beta testers this video wouldn't be necessary. so tired of this bullshit. go bambu lab printers
Agreed.
I think he's pointing at 50% power but I hard to make out the speed
Yup.
Are you able to check this footage remotely from your phone? Live or otherwise?
Yup. I watch the footage captured overnight while I have breakfast to see what animals came.
Thanks for your videos man. Thanks to you I'm starting to love my neptune 4 max after about 8 month sitting on a corner
Oh man I'm so happy to hear that!!
I have one and absolutely love it. Forgot to mention that top spool adapter if printing enclosed for along period, it will soften and the weight of the spool will make it fall. I put a hose clamp on mine to avoid that while printing on nylon cf or pet cf and problem solved.
Ugh. That's not great. Btw which enclosure are you using? Someone asked about one the other day but I didn't have a good one to offer.
Who painted those scorch marks on the hull though, a blind woodsman?
Only Imperial Stormtroopers are so precise...
I thought they were weird space starfish or something. Those are pretty nasty scorch marks.
Chopper. He don't give an f.
@@davetriesthis lol. Chop is the best. He needs his own Disney after hours mini series.
@ totally.
How does it play with the AMS? Do I need adapters?
You can use any filament with the AMS systems. It just won't automatically know what the filament is like Bambu spools because they don't know what filament it is. You have to set it to generic pla in the slicer
Thank you for this. I have had mine Max for almost a year (my second printer) and have had issues printing outside of the middle section of the build plate. I finally today updated the firmware again and spent a good 1-2 hours leveling the bed, and washing the plate and finally printed out a full size test print to near perfection. Thank you.
Great to hear! I'm running two of them right now doing some cosplay client work and each has probably been through 100 kg of filamet since I got them. When they're dialed in they're beasts.
More details on how you installed the solar portion would have been helpful
Ah. Sorry. It's got a 20' long usb cable. The usb cable plugs into the back of the device. The roof is 5' above the camera so I simply went to the roof on a ladder, screwed the solar panel onto the roof with their mounting bracket (just like attaching a camera to a wall) and plugged it in.
the only bummer is that only Gateron Double-Rail Magnetic Switches ( wich come in 3 variants ) work with it. i have it and thats really the only con but i mean the switches are nice so if you are not super picky you will probably be fine with that
Yeah since I'm using this for video editing mostly it's not a huge thing for me but that's a good point.
They're gonna make more
Where's the link for the silicone bumpers?
That's a great question. It was in the description but I changed some descriptions recently when some URLs changed. I must have forgotten to add it back. Thank you. They're here: amzn.to/3Z1Rcyg
Thanks a lot for the video mate!
My pleasure! Thanks for the comment.
I bought an Anycubic Kobra 2 neo kind of on a whim because ive wanted a printer for years now. I was blown away with how good of prints I could get from a printer that was only $150 but it did take some tinkering and searching for proper settings. But after spending more time trying to get proper bed adhesion or figuring out why my prints always fail after a few hours, its been sitting in my closet collecting dust. I recently saw that this product came out and the combo price was pretty enticing but in was soured with the experiences I had with the Kobra 2 neo. I ended up biting the bullet and getting a Bambu P1s with the AMS pro. I am yet to set it up so I will be updating this comment after I get at least the 50 hours of successful prints that I got and most of that was with printing simple models that were essentially boxes with extra steps.
The P1S is a better printer, by far. But this Kobra 3 is much beter than the Kobra 2.
I just bought this Mavic 3 classic last week after using the Mini 2 for 3 years. Ive watched about 25 different videos on the Mavic 3 series and this is one of the best because it gets to relevant info quickly that amateur photographers like myself want.
Thanks, that really made my day. How do you like the classic?
Even a year later this video still helping people.... like me! haha TY!
It's crazy how long some of these videos are good for. That said, give Orca a try. It's a much better slicer and supports these printers now.
Suggestion: since you are using the filament with the Bambu printers and they don't have a default profile for Elegoo's PLA, why not share your filament settings? :)
I guess I should have mentioned that I use the Bambu pla setting for the elegoo filament. Bambu's profile just prints a bit faster than the generic. I keep the rfid things from Bambu filament and tape them to new rolls of filament.
Hello Dave you are a God send. I have been trying to get my screen on the Elegoo Neptune 4 pro to work in leveling. I recently updated to the latest firmware and it messed up my leveling it would zero out and stay there. I tried everything from using my imac on lan to use SSH with Putty to update in Fluidd. Nothing worked until your video showed me how to update the screen with a micro sd card inserted into the screen on the printer and now I am back in business. Nobody else had this information. You are awesome.
Thank you so much for the nice things you said. I'm glad it helped. One reason I made it was that I didn't see the whole process explained and another videos.
My elegoo Neptune 4 Max will heat up the bed for a print and then it will slowly lose tempiture after the print is about a couple minutes in and it will come up with the klipper error screen saying something that doesn't make sense.
Argh. That sounds like motherboard. Definitely email their support. Send them a video and the serial number. They'll need that before they do anything.
Hi Dave, I wish I had found this earlier. After the blob of death, I bought the new hotend and replaced it myself. But I am having another problem. After I replaced the hot end the z axis will not go down. I can make it rise but not lower it. Any suggestions?
By the Way it is a neptune 4.
Sounds like either motherbaord or something is stuck in the screw threads that lowers the head. I'd send a video to their support people along with the serial number. They'll need that to help you.
Between this one, and the NEC370GR Which one do you prefer? Or you haven't tried the Eureka one?
I haven't tried the Eureka one yet though this one beat out the shark and Black & Decker units I have
I think if you explained why you did what you did it would have made a lot more sense
Appreciate the feedback.
