Ariel had a sister, Allisara, who was also Malekith's wife, which makes the Witch-King Ariel's brother-in-law, so Ariel gets to be a part of "that" twisted family tree as well.

Exactly! They're so much fun to record. I try and find the most obscure references I can manage just to see who will pick up on them now. It's one of the most gratifying experiences of my life to have created something that brings people this much joy.

I really wanted to work this story in - but with Morghur already here it derailed the story too much.

I love how this series has basically become a lore episode with tons of jokes, and a little bit about the actual stuff in game. Honestly, whenever I see one of these episodes I get super excited because I get to learn more about the Warhammer world in a fun way.
I mean Heralds of Ariel go like this:
Early game: archers with spearmen to protect them.
Mid game: archers with some hawk riders to protect them
Late: hawk riders with spearmen to hold down the enemy while Volley of Kurnous is on cooldown.
Does this mean we could possibly get A Noob’s Guide to Lord Kroak?
He talked about him in Gor-rok guide already
Lord Kroak is not nearly as essential to the lizardman lore as Ariel is to the woodelf lore. Kroak essentially just did 1 thing outside the endtimes and that is killing more demons with a single spell than i duno... deathmaster snikch has seen living beings in his life.

I'm starting to see the Wood Elves as weaver ants with Ariel as their ant queen. Weaver ants live in tropical areas mainly in South America where they make their nests in trees. They have a symbiotic relationship with their host tree that not only allow them to make their homes on them but also provides the ants with a food source and in exchange the ants fight off any intruding insects or animals that intend on doing harm to their tree.
so the tree is their pokemontrainer?

When exactly in this story did she invade Naggarond to get revenge on Morathi for the death of her sister (Malekith's wife)?
After she slapped around Morghur that second time. She went tapping into dark magics to find a permanent answer, then her sister arrived prompting the whole Morathi expedition. I cut Morathi for time - as it derailed the narrative - but the jist of it was that Ariel spared her in exchange for even more dark knowledge. This is what prompted Ariel to have that epic row with Orion and refuse to reincarnate him.

@@thanquolrattenherz9665 its not necessary but its a ritual, probably Orion would die and then they needed to do again the ritual, in the End of Times Orion didnt sacrificed himself just to go to war against Tyrion and all the crazy elves

I love that Warhammer characters are all business and no bullshit. This is like if Galadriel was out to KILL. Screw the fellowship I'm taking the ring to Mordor myself and I'll kill every orc, troll, evil man and whatever else gets in my way. And if Orion wants to come along then fine, so long as he knows his place.

TBH she sounds like a reference to Catherine the great. She overthrew her husband/second cousin for being inept and soft, expanded its borders with conquest, also she made the first state financed higher education institution for women in Europe which could reference her daughters possibly. Also Athel Loren is like a reverse Russia where you don't invade it during the summer.

Adanion captured this. But we use the same process. Setting the in-game camera to debug and an fov of 15. Adding Matthews Reshade Preset, with the Alternative Lighting Mod. And then a curves adjustment in Premiere with a touch more saturation so the color pops.

Oh my god I'm an idiot, originally I thought the trailer they showed was more of a Stranger Things reference. If curious as to what I mean I can post a link below and you can scroll down and read the reasoning behind it, but getting back to the original point the trailer might have had 2 references. One being what I mentioned, the second being Godzilla, more importantly Mothra. The twin sisters, Mothra only ever answered to the twins in the older Godzilla films and even the newer one Godzilla King of the Monsters had a small reference to this as well in some regard. But Mothra was always seen as the protector of nature. Godzilla has teamed up with Mothra from time to time and listening to the dragon's roar. I'm probably going to have to amend that post slightly now that Cory Bonds dropped that reference. I get it was more likely a joke, but recalling certain details of the trailer after seeing this it's looking more and more there may have been more then one as I thought. And considering the Warden and Paunch trailer had 2 it's slightly more possible.

Does she definitely spawn when your settlement reaches 100 health? In my campaign I completed the first Heal Forest mission but she never spawned.

@@codybonds Yes. I have the Witchwood on about 130 health now, and I'm working on confederating with Oreon.
I guess a mod might have messed up the script, but I only have cosmetic mods so I thought it would be pretty safe.
Its 27 turns in, so I'd like to know if its bugged before I go any further and then restart.

@@codybonds I have one story quest to go before I get their forest dragon, which will be the end of that quest chain. The forest healing mission I finished definitely listed Ariel as one of the completion rewards though.
I tried loading back in and ending a turn with all mods disabled, but no late trigger there either.
