Like if you found the post-credit scene ❤️
Frankenstein is Tombstone. The only one complaint I would have about this masterpiece is Tombstone wasn't really explained or used but minor gripe😊
That entire end fight was a legit extinction level event going on. As for this movie, I actually enjoyed this more than No Way Home, it did the multiverse concept better while not having to rely on so much nostalgia. Most of the call backs here were from movies and comic's which having grown up on alternate takes on Spiderman being published, was a real treat.
The sight gags at school are the funniest scenes in this movie. From the moment his.... ahem.. "sticky hand" got stuck to her hand was funny, blaming that on puberty though.. LMAO. just contextually so wrong that it's the only appropriate response and greatest response of all time. lol but even panicking and blindly running like he was it shows the fans EXACTLY how that spider sense works, effortless. It was such a blessing for Peter in the comics that it became a detriment when he lost it and realized that without it saving his butt it was pure luck that he survived long enough before he realized yeah he can fight....kinda. lol So he trained under Shang-Chi and developed " The way of the spider"
Oscar Isaac is the blue and red Spider-Man with claws lol I’m trying not to spoil
His leap of faith was one of the best movie sequences I've ever seen. The music especially made it pop
It gives me chills every time. It’s so good!
People definitely underestimate the potential of Sony. Sony music is the second largest publisher in the world and makes billions every year. You want to include popular songs in your movie or have a new song created you want to make your movie with Sony.
"What's up, danger,don't be a stranger"........love it.
@@Robert-jd5ousame
It’s very good! I’m partial to the Test Drive sequence from How to Train Your Dragon myself.
What I really like about the Doc Ock reveal is that the movie plants hints within the movie way before she says her name. In the starting montage Peter is seen fighting Doc Ock, so you know the arms are different, In the movie in the classroom she's got octagonal glasses, and during the first collider test there's a female voice that says, "connecting to five dimensions," that's Olivia talking. In her office the light fixture is octagonal, on her desk you can see a piece of her "arms" with the exact same material as in the opening montage, the table is octagonal, and the restraints are octagonal as well.
Such good little detailing
@@BRIDGECO1 Not only that, Aunt May calls her Liv, so they were either friends or more than friends🤭
@@JonathanMandrake I don't know why, I've watched this movie more than a dozen times, but watching this reaction was the first time I wondered "wait, did May and Doc Ock get married in this universe?"
All great spots. I'd add the joke during Peter B's plan where he expects the head scientist to be a man and Myles points out it's Liv. So literally the film has told us "Don't expect this character to be male".
She's also the scientist in in the educational video that Miles interrupts when he gets to class late, and he stands right in front of the banner that would spoil her name 😂
The reason Mile’s “I’ll always have my family” line isn’t cruel is because while Kingpin blames Miles and all forms of Spider-Man for the death of his family- Kingpin, himself, actually MURDERED Mile’s Uncle. So mile’s is really saying “we aren’t the same because while you try desperately to bring your dead family back, I know i’ll always have my family in my heart no matter what”
Facts🖤❤️🤍🕷️🕸️
In the case of Spider-Ham, his "snout" eyes are probably actually more eyes, because Fun Fact: he's actually a spider that was bitten by a radioactive pig, lol.
Fun fact if you didn’t notice Gwen was wearing her spider suit underneath her clothing the whole time before she was revealed
The shoes was a dead give away
The way Miles just slaps the spider away sends me😂😂
My favorite small details in this movie are with Miles' dad.1 is when the parent's are watching the news and see the broadcast about spiderman's death, Jeff (Miles' Dad) at first seems more shocked than upset, glancing at Rio (Miles' mom) to see her reaction. But when they it says he was 26, and had been spiderman for a decade, Jeff puts his hand over his mouth looking genuinely upset when he realizes spiderman was a kid. 2 is when jeff meets Miles as Spiderman (he obviously doesn't know it's him), he goes to thank him and "Spiderman" hugs him. at first again he's just shocked, but then he looks down and gets this more thoughtful look on his face before hugging him back. He realized this new spiderman is also a kid, and this was his first big fight.
Love the shot at 38:05 with the "WOOOOOO!" mirroring the "AHHHHHH!" from when Miles totally butchers his first leap of faith. It's the little things!
0:50 Oh man, you're going to LOVE what Across The Spider-Verse has in store...
Yes, this is the best Spider-Man film. It has it all, the core of the character, the voice acting is great, the animation is incredible and now everyone is copying the style, the writing, score and “cinematography” is incredible, and characters are amazing. I can’t wait for Across the Spiderverse, this could be the best superhero trilogy when it’s all done.
I’ve only watched this Spider-Man film, and both venom, if they count since they are connected? And I can vouch for this if my opinion counts
@@vulturedrawz Even if you have seen all the Tobey, Andrew and Tom’s Spider-Man movie if you have some knowledge in those aspect I mentioned then yeah Spiderverse is still the best Spider-Man film. Some of the live action movies suffers from bad acting or bad writing and plot holes while Spiderverse has no weakness, it fulfills everything. As a filmmaker student and Spider-Man hardcore fan my ranking and rating for SM movies would be:
Spiderverse 10/10
NWH 8.5/10
SM2 7.5/10
SM1 7/10
Homecoming 7/10
FFH 7/10
TSM2 7/10
TSM 7/10
SM3 5/10
Venom 5/10
Venom 2 4/10
Morbius 2/10
This is one of the best comic book movies ever made, and tied with SM2 for favorite spider man property. SM2 is still best live action interpretation ever, but this one truly felt like a comic book come to life.
It drove me insane when I saw ppl shitting on the framerate of this movie, not realizing it's a completely essential aspect of the art style... I saw a 60 frame edit and it took away so much of what made it beautiful and unique
@@system0fadowner251 For me SM2 is super overrated because the acting outside from Alfred Molina and JK Simmons everyone else is trash, especially Tobey, Kristen and Franco. The movie also has one of the biggest plot hole in a SM movie with the dinning scene. Still is a good film like a 7.5/10 but definitely overrated.
Spiderverse in the other hand has it all, the voice acting, “cinematography”, the animation is now being copied because how it changed the animation style, score, character arcs, antagonists, etc, it has it all. Spiderverse is incredible and the thought of Across the Spiderverse being even better is ridiculous so if these movies keep the same quality this will be the best superhero trilogy.
My only issue is there's no way a sequel could live up this movie. It's my favorite movie of all time, and it did ALMOST everything right.
IMO this isn't just the best Spider-Man movie ever, but the best superhero movie of at least the past 20 years as well as being the best animated movie. The tone of the writing is optimistic and inspirational the way a superhero story should be, the craft of the story-telling constantly surprises you with the twists and reveals but never leaves you feeling confused, the comedy timing is perfect and a delight, and the art is just out of this world.
It's the film that EVERY animator in the next two upcoming generations is going to say got them into the industry and wishes they'd got to work on.
The Frankenstein-looking guy is Tombstone, one of many villains the web-slinger has ever faced in the comics.
That's the dude with enhanced strength and steel/invulnerable skin, right? Is he a mutant, or another chemical/science mishap?
@@NameIsZ - He’s not a born mutant. His powers came from breathing in some type of experimental gas.
@someonesane so the chemical/ science mishap, got it.
@@someonesaneso a "mutate", like spiderman, powers from external means
the moment that kills me every time is Gwen trying to coach Peter at the party about dealing with MJ. Because Gwen has had to deal with him being Peter ALL THIS TIME. Can you imagine what seeing a grown up Peter does to her? And he apparently never had a Gwen, so she has to deal with a Peter who doesn't know her, and she never lets on.
Awesome point! I had not thought about that.😢
The best written and visually Spider-Man movie ever ❤
"It's me, Jessica!" 😂 FINALLY! Somebody else other than me makes a Hot Chick reference! Great reaction, Cody! Keep up the good work! Love what you guys do!
Fun fact: Donald Glover was the inspiration for Miles Morales. Back when he was filming Community.
I love how bombastic of a sideye I made when he talked about how funny the bagel animation was
With this reaction I definitely clocked that Gwen probably came around the first “earthquake” that was mentioned in the movie. I just assumed the collider brought her 7 days before she met Miles. But I guess that test was just 7 days before. Really cool touch.
32:35. So much in this line. May calls her Liv, which is what her friends call her, we heard earlier. So although Dr Ock didn’t know who Spider-Man was, she has a history with May. Love how it points to a larger world beyond this one story.
also may dated doc ock in the comics so its a headcanon that this aunt may & “liv” did too
@@certified-haterr or maybe Uncle Ben did, which is why May killed him
This isn't just the best Spider-Man movie, imo, it's the best superhero movie ever made.
Cap
@@FlamingSolo Not at all. It's definitely in competition.
Donald Glover was the inspiration for Miles Morales. When they were casting Andrew Garfield's films, there was a fan drive to cast Glover as Peter Parker based on Community. So when Community came back for their second season, they put Troy in Spider-man jammies in the opening of the season premiere. Marvel then cast him as Aaron in Homecoming as a nod to that.
have u seen Across the Spider-verse?
He wasn't the inspiration for the character - he just gave Bendis the assurance he needed that the world was ready for his version of Spider-Man. Technically, it was Obama that fueled the creation of Miles, as well as the decision to kill Peter in Ultimate universe's "Death of Spider-Man" comic.
"He looked fantastic! I saw him in the costume and thought, 'I would like to read that book.' So I was glad I was writing that book."
@@darbs1832 "He wasn't the inspiration for the character - he just gave Bendis the assurance he needed that the world was ready for his version of Spider-Man. "
that... literally makes him the inspiration. that's what the word means.
@@ISavant No - the character was already written. Seeing Glover just gave him confidence that people were ready for his Spider-Man. What was so hard to understand about my comment lol
I can't wait to see you and Bridget's reaction to the sequel.
This is probably one of my fave blind reactions to this film ever. So genuine and great. The little laugh is dang infectious, along with every "Shut up." 😂
So glad I started following your channel folling your Chucky TV series reactions. You and your lovely wife are wonderful chill people to watch. ❤
only a few minutes in but im already loving how much fun youre having watching this movie, this is the exact type of reactions i look for man
this movie truly is in a league of its own
he could not trust his uncle when he found out in the room bcoz he couldn't take the risk...maybe he was good to miles before bcoz he didn't know his other side, but now he might have been like "you have seen my face,so no witnesses" kind of a thing and he couldn't take chances
The doc oc reveal hit everyone like a suckerpunch to the face
First time I watched this movie I legit cried about 5 times. Such a masterpiece.
Miles "rising" made me cry. It was so beautiful and was him becoming who he is. Just so amazing
@@smrttgrl The entire "Leap of Faith" sequence was one of my moments
Favorite fact: Miles is animated at a different, slower framerate until he gets a handle on things. So he seems less coordinated.
The most important Stan Lee cameo for a multiverse of reasons
I love all the laughs in this reaction. Kept me smiling.
you are genuinely the best reaction channel out there imo. my patreon subscription was defo worth it
Ri I love him and his wife so much they always make my day ❤❤
They are a great reaction channel.
YES!!! I was one of the people who recommended this! I LOVE this movie and it's definitely my favorite Spiderman movie. I can't wait for Across the Spiderverse! Thanks for the awesome reaction!
how did u like it? Or should I say...love it?
Love the reaction.
Just one thing, it's Spider-Ham, not spider pig.
He made his first appearance in the comics in 1983.
By far my favorite Spider-Man movie. Just a pure love letter to all things Spider-Man 💙 🙌🏾
I don't know if anyone answered this already, but Alchemax is originally from the Spider-Man 2099 comics. Basically it was an evil corporation that took over the world by buying every other company in existence, which doesn't seem as farfetched as it probably did back in the 80s.
I really believe this is the best Spider-Man movie because it has everything you need in a Spider-Man movie. It has the origin story even though we all know how Spider-Man starts, it makes fun of itself from the beginning saying “ok let’s do this one more time…” and then does everyone origin story. Just amazing!
I love the whole "Please prove us wrong" vibe when they're all outside Miles's dorm room listening to Peter B. telling him he's not ready.
Unbelievable flick! I was blown away by this in the theater - and I'll see the next ones there too!~
Frankenstein-lookin' dude was Tombstone, a Spidey villain from the 80s. It's weird saying "classic" bad guy because I don't FEEL that old.
I’ve always been a fan of Spider-Man since I was little so when I heard a animated film was being made at the time of the new Spider-Man I was so excited cause it looked straight out of a comic book! Now I’m a big fan of Miles and the way the film was done to the point it influenced my art, I know almost everything I could about this film and even got the art book, this is to say the least, my favorite film!
Such a great movie. Freaking loved it.
Don’t wait to watch Across the Spiderverse dude. See it on the biggest screen you can.
This movie is just pure JOY.
You need to have a go at Puss in Boots: The Last Wish now ;) The animation on that one took a LOT of notes from Spiderverse, and it gives way more than a decade+ late sequel to a spinoff of another animated movie series has ANY right to. Honestly, probably my favorite animated movie from last year.
*insert "NO BRIDGET??" meme here*
Hey Cody, i think you missed the post credits scene 😅
SURPRISE! I made it a post credit reaction 😂 it’s at the very end after the outro. I actually forgot to wait and see if there was a post credit, so I recorded myself and went back when I was editing 😂
After seeing Spiderverse 2 in theaters I seriously recommend you see it in theaters, it’s a once in a lifetime experience.
I love this movie, it’s a masterpiece! It’s my favorite animated movie of all time. You should do a rewatch of the MCU, it will definitely take a while!
My favorite spider man so far. I really did like the colors too. The jokes. The script was good. The music was good - maybe cuz they had a juice wrld song. Lookin forward to the 2nd one
Please don't wait 'til it's on digital. You have to experience that art in imax in theaters! It's just not the same
His leap of faith scene absolutely gives me chills every time I see it. The way he’s rising to the expectations he has, which was basically the theme of the entire movie, it’s just *chef’s kiss*
0:53
People that haven't watched across the spider verse 😂
People that have 💀
one of my favorite things about the whats up danger scene is the cinematography. While he is falling they invert the camera, because he is not falling but rising. he is rising up too the city and to the expectations placed on him.
When they eventually make a live action Miles Morales Spider Man they need to cast Caleb Mclaughlin. Ever since season 4 of ST, Ive thought hed be perfect in that role. Hes got the acting chops and athletic ability to be fantastic as Miles and the character deserves a live action adaption imo. Great reaction to one of the best comic book movies ever made!
Coming to watch this reaction after Across, and when you mentioned at the beginning that the main thing you remembered from this movie before sitting down to watch it was the bagel joke... I can't express how excited that made me.
Fun fact the more frames per second on a charecter shows how strong they are
The Sixty-seven Spider-Man relied on rogues like Prowler, Tombstone, Scorpion-great to see them again.
Peter B Parker is supposedly our Spiderman from our Universe. You can notice by the way they spelled Coca-Cola correctly in his introduction, when it was spelled Koca-Kola in the first Spiderman introduction. Hence the fact that they said PDNY instead of NYPD in Miles's universe. This are kinda different but not that much.
He's not quite OUR Peter. Ours is Earth 616, but in the new movie Gwen's watch shows that he's from Earth 616-B. Near identical, but some small differences.
Now I want Batman doing the shoulder touch in his next movie.
The B stands For Bagel
The animation in these movies keeps getting better and better lol! This one amazing next one extraordinary lol. So many different styles mixing together lol. Even live action like moments
"hello everybody, my name is cody and I do not have a beautiful wife today"
just watched across the spider verse last night and i 100% think you should wait till it’s out. it’s a whole masterpiece
You guys are the best reaction channel. Logged back into patreon because of you guys ❤
You're a joy to behold xD
I love your laugh, keep up the good work!
First time I've seen you, and I gotta say you have a great giggle
Plus, I've never noticed his spidey flash drive, so nice catch!
I don't know if you've watched them but the credits to this movie are actually amazing.❤️
Bro the dialogue pf this movie was AMAZING
Tombstone. That the Frankenstein looking dudes name! They don't say it in the movie if I recall right, but it's supposed to be Tombstone
when kingpin stepped out of the car in Alchemax I was like
"How the fuck did he fit in that car" XD
In the same vein: how’s he fit through the Alchemax DOOR?
@@RobertJW Ikr
Kingpin: It's hip to be a square
In Gwen's universe peter turned in to the lizard that's why he's top was of in the flash back.
No wonder why he had some weird scales on him.
the bagel...
You helped make a rainy Saturday great, thanks
To answer your questions the villain who looks like Frankenstein his name is tombstone and the actor who plays spiderman noir you guessed right Cody it is Nicolas Cage.
this is the best of the best, i think. it’s so good even the credits are amazing to watch.
You should really see across the spider verse in theaters, as soon as possible
I was waiting for “my beautiful wife… Bridgettttt” 😅😅I vote for a Wilson style Bridget 🤣
There was a post credits scene with Spider-Man 2099 who appears to be a major character in the new movie.
10:51 am i the only one noticing that the Spidey sense Miles has Prowler's colors at first?
Bro the uncle as the villain went dumb hard!
Great reaction trailer!
yeah that was nicholas cage as spider noir
Spider Noir is voiced by actor Nicholas Cage(Johnny Blaze in the Ghost Rider movies)!!!!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
23:38 we all laughed, we aren't laughing now...
Love the reaction
That guy with the grey skin that you kept asking about I believe is supposed to be Tombstone. I don't really know much about him as a character.
I'm pretty convinced that Miles spider came from Miguel's universe, just going off the comics in the 2099 universe Alchemax is on some crazy a** genetic engineering stuff, so it makes sense that it was spliced with different genes like the natural camouflage and the bioelectricity, Miles and Miguel have some fairly unique powers, Miles more so .
I use to day that in that old animated Spider-Man show what did he swing off of lol what is HR swinging from lol
You should support across the spider-verse in theaters when it releases
Sooooo good. Love this movie.
that 'frankenstein' dude is actually called Tombstone cuz his body is almost dead so he doesnt feel pain at all and has a nearly indestructable body and nearly inpenetrable body as well, he is a well known gang boss and sometimes messes with NY enough to get on Spideys watch
BridgeCo Has You Know Sony Pictures Imageworks Just Made A Anime
Inlove your vids ❤❤
0:51 oh no no no no no
One of my nephews favorites and I can see why!
YaHoo! YaHoo! YaHoo! YaHoo! finally a superhero movie Yahoo!
4:23 i really like the detail of Gwen laughing at the joke because she is indeed early XD
Potentially spoilers for new movie but also not really if you don’t have any context: the fact you remembered the bagel gag in particular 🤯 keep remembering it
