    Great video! Yes! Break ALL the “rules”. Rules are helpful for learning… until they aren't. Then we gotta do our own thing. Excellent tip for using your phone camera to frame a scene and get the proportions correct. I’m pretty sure all the old masters used whatever tools they had available to them. 👍

    It is OK to do everything at once on site if you live somewhere where the weather cooperates. Here in the UK, we often have to 😊 what we can and finish off later if necessary.

    Nice sketches! I also like to touch up paintings when I get them home. I'm not sure where some of these rules come from. The other one I like to break is the one about not using white paint in watercolor.
