Fun build, like the concept with the psychic blades and no other weapons.
I think knowledge cleric is interesting, they started out as a cleric, got really curious about certain information and maybe started delving dungeons and lead them down a more rogue like path instead of continuing with cleric.

Thank you, my friend. I am currently playing a version of this character (her brother) in a campaign and am absolutely loving it, so far. And agreed... I need to learn more about this Knowledge Cleric, for sure. Seems like a decent multiclass option. Cheers! :-)

Great video, found it really informative. I'm making a character for a dungeon crawler, and this supreme skill monkey sounds ideal. I only have to dump every charisma skill

This character seems like she'd be really good for a solo campaign.

I'm sure she would, absolutely. I am playing a version of her (her brother) in a game right now. At level 5, I took a level in Bard to get spells and more skills. He has been so much fun to play. My skill rolls at level 5 have a high success rate, for sure. Cheers!

Just curious- if you are more concerned with theme than optimizing then the +2,+1,+1 you get from taking the half elf race shouldn't necessarily be a priority, right? Kaya definitely isn't a half elf, she's human. However, the Kalashtar race from Eberon is innately psionic, being human but connected with an otherworldly spirit that gives them psionic powers, including the ability to communicate through telepathy. Wouldn't this combine better thematically with the Soul Knife Rogue for this character?

Ah, easy enough. As evidenced in the title, I wanted to build this character around skills. Being able to get as many skills as I can and, of course, the Half-Elf offers two skills at level 1. I chose half-elf over Tabaxi because the additional +1 modifier also helps bump up our skill modifiers. Now, with regards to a psionic build, I still plan on doing one based specifically on psionics (Aberrant Mind Sorcerer) and was going to go with the Githzerai. But, I did not realize that the Kalashtar are also a psionic-based race, so I may consider them instead. Thank you for the comment and for watching my video. Cheers!

Ah, sorry about that. I chose the Criminal/Spy background. Access to Deception, Stealth, Forgery Kit and Dice Set. Cheers!

The Soul Knife is already a skill monkey, no multi-classing required. At Level 5 if you have a 0 in an ability score and no proficiency, you're rolling an average of 15. Now pick Half-elf or Tabaxi (my favorite for a Rogue), you get two more skills. 2 more from your background and you start with NINE proficiencies (if you count Thieves Tools), Rogue expertise, etc. plus your Psyionic Dice.... you range between good to insanely good at literally every skill in the game. AND, you sacrifice zero combat optimization by doing so.
Psyonic Dice put the Bard's Jack of all Trades to shame.

Absolutely Sean, I totally agree! I am playing this character in a campaign (now level 4) and although I have never played a non-spell caster before, I am having a blast with this build! I will probably continue on with mono-class Rogue. Those Psionic dice are sick and have already bailed me out of at least two situations. And... I was able to use the Psionic Whispers to befriend a couple of Kobolds.
Thank you for the comment Sean. Cheers!

@@WallyDM playing a Warforged Soulknife “skinned” as the AMEE unit from the Red Planet movie - we are at the beginning (lvl4) of ROTFM campaign and I love it so far. I can’t wait to continue on with this class, very versatile and good at just about anything…best at quite a few.
