Can you elaborate? I'm pretty sure Quadros use the same GPUs and have basically the same processing power as GeForce counterparts, what makes them geared towards professional use is the much higher VRAM and the power connectors moved to the back of the card rather than the side. It's interesting you say the trackpad has a soft touch finish that feels like silicone since according to the spec sheet for this model the trackpad is supposed to be GLASS.
7:58 That is not really correct. Practically speaking, pretty much every x86 processor has some sort of SIMD instructions for >64 bit operations. AVX-512 is the newest of these instructions and has largest width. There's also AVX-256, AVX-128, and the older SSE instructions which are very common.

Didn't know about the second point. I mostly looked at the programming and performance part of it, but I guess I'll have to consider other factors before implementing it into my libraries. Thanks!
I think it would come down to performance (bit better thermals, Radeon 5600M is faster, and manual can control), speakers, battery and trackpad on the MacBook Pro, and keyboard, upgradability, port selection for convenience, and the screen (assuming 1080p HDR) for the ThinkPad
