Pretty spot on review if you ask me, I also own a cyberbeast. I’ve had it since June 30. As the owner of several car washes, I can tell you exactly how to keep a cyber truck looking beautifully, clean and shiny on the outside. It’s actually quite simple. I have a small sprayer filled with oleic acid that been dissolved, or you can just purchase some barkeepers friend which ends up being a bit more expensive, but works just as good . I spray it all around the stainless steel parts and rims of the truck before just before I drive it through an automatic car wash and it’s factory fresh and removes everything and doesn’t damage any other parts. I also understand some self carwashes use a high pH content on their tire and wheel cleaner, and that works ok. I also get the ceramic finish on the automatic car wash, and that helps protect the exterior but not like painted cars as it is not as slick and does not really bond to the stainless steel but it does help keep it cleaner and tiny bit longer as long as long as you don’t remove the ceramic coating with any type of cleaner, such as Windex or whatever. The windows definitely benefit from the ceramic and all the other plastic parts. Just remember if you wrap your vehicle, you are a slave to handwashing it for the rest of your life together and that just does not sound like a fun thing to do more than a couple of times. Not only if you go somewhere to get a wash it’s more expensive and more time-consuming. Also Tesla recommends to stay away from tunnel car washes because most of the express or membership type car washes use high pH, which can turn the color of the chrome or the black chrome around the doors into a rainbow type of pattern. Luckily for me, I always have been using neutral pH soaps at my car washes so that never is a problem. If you would like more tips and tricks, feel free to reach out to me as I have a vast experience in washing and keeping all sorts of cars clean. You can find the powder on Amazon or many other sites.

Woah! I bought my Ferrari from that shady dealership that used to own that building in 2021! I’m glad it’s now a Tesla delivery lot. Love my Model Y and watch your videos often, keep up the quality productions!
@TrapZoneCanine The first Canadian deliveries start tomorrow, so it definitely shouldn't take long for you to start seeing them everywhere. People were posting pictures with dozens of them at Tesla centers across Canada ready to go. It's going to be an exciting time!
Great video! Appreciate the honest praise and critiques. Still holding out for tax credit and hopefully a little more refinement with the rear view mirror (which should have been a screen)
Fair, balanced and informative. Thanks! Sounds like a few software tweaks for the Cybertruck are needed but relatively minor. Personally, I am waiting for CyberSUV as I don't have a need for a truck bed. About the size of Jeep Grand Cherokee would be perfect. In the meantime my Model Y is fun to drive! Caveat: the Cybertruck is very temping though...
You can get aftermarket rear view mirror and camera from 3rd party like haanshow. Installation looks pretty easy. Thats what I'm planning on doing once i get my cybertruck

I got my FS Cybertruck on June 3rd. My VIN is under 12,000. I absolutely love it and have become addicted to full self-driving. I I only have less than 3,000 Mi on it but have not experienced any problems . I agree with everything you said about the rear view and rear view camera. Hopefully, the image will improve when they turn on hardware 4 with version 13.
17:08 I had similar concerns about the visibility, but as long as you have the camera app open all the time, it's all good. You'll get blind spot and rear view simultaneously. Better visibility than most sedans. A lack of a rear camera cleaner is a major shortcoming, however.
What I like about the issues is they are mostly software related, like, in time they will over the air update to resolve themselves The random squeaking is just new vehicle hard to make yet stuff, that is what service centers are here for
Welcome to the club. I like everything about the CT, except I wish it had longer range for my towing and cross country trips. Best riding and handling truck I have ever driven. Everything in life is a compromise, even my truck :-)
I love how its just as easy to order and pick up a car as it is to go get some take out at a local restaurant. Other brands need to start doing this and start offering their vehicles at a small fraction above what the dealer purchase price is. Dealerships may actually start to improve when consumers have the option to avoid them.
Thank you for your great review, I appreciate the pros and cons not just being a Tesla hype man. Of course I am a Tesla hype man so it is helpful to read truth once in a while! I really hope you get it wrapped it is way too much work to maintain stainless steel!
Awesome! I have heard nothing that will keep me from getting one as soon as my finances will allow. Sadly I will probably end up getting a used Model 3 or Y since I need a car sooner. But that will get passed onto my son who will be driving in 3 years and hopefully I will be ready for my Cybertruck by then! 💪🏼
Might sound ridiculous, but couldn't you use Comet, Bar Keepers friend, etc to clean the body of the vehicle since it's also what they use to clean stainless steel kitchen sinks, etc?
Congrats on your Cybertruck. Some or most can be fixed by purchasing aftermarket products. Chris of Dirty Tesla did install the rear camera washer and saw someone install a digital rearview mirror but needed an extra rearview camera. (Works well for when the tailgate is down but would prefer it utilizing the existing camera.)
I had and have a reservation since it was announced but when the prices went up and the range went down! I changed my mind to get it. Tesla has been contacting me several times to get my Cybertruck delivery but refuses to do so. If the range was as promised at least, maybe could make sense but with this price and this range no way.
Plus u can write it off as a business expense fir your channel. It makes way more sense for you vs someone that doesn't have a Tesla you tube business.
Thank you, Ryan. I have a Cybertruck on order and need to wait for a less expensive model. Once money permits, I really want a Cyberbeast You've done a wonderful service to all of us who are waiting for theirs. I am far more prepared now. Happy holidays! SoCalFreddy
1 thing to note that Foundation series FSD stays with the car along with lifetime Premium Connectivity. The non foundation series cannot, that’s a $8k option that stays with the car. So obviously resell of foundation will be higher, so good choice 👍 we also have foundation series vin 16900+ the cars been great so far.
I HavE The Foundation Series, The one Thing bI Have Is The White Door Panels, I Had My And The Truck Wrapped, That vWas The Best Thing I did, Hope You Have A lot of Fun
They should have put a rear view Camera on the top back of the cab and put the monitor where the rear view mirror is. (this would put it connected to the front view camera)
I used UndrDog Pro coating successfully to prevent etching from bird poop and the "rust" from brake rotor dust. Still have to rinse and wipe gently but way cheaper and don't have to worry about tearing the wrap if you drag it through bushes off road.
Fellow drummer here, have you tried putting your kit in the rear seat with the seat folded? Having those shells in a AC environment would be better. Picking mine up on Tues.
18:21 I have the same FSD behavior in my 2021 Model Y Performance (drives slower than it should, hugs the left side of the lane, runs over lane reflectors). Great review video. I'm still contemplating pulling the trigger on my order. Thanks for the review.
Great review. I have a 2018 M3DMLR and 2024 CTFS. Totally agree with your findings. We’ve camped with ours and CT is fantastic for that use. I’ll add a bed cap when one comes available but will not wrap it. So pleased not to have to baby paint like with my F-150. Looking forward to having this CT for 10+ years. It’s a great vehicle.
Believe it or not I have tested all of the streaming services and RUclips music sounds the best on my cyber truck. I have tried Apple, Spotify, Tidal and RUclips. The RUclips Music streaming service sounds the best to me and I don’t have a dog in the fight.
I would possibly use this as a ranch truck, hauling a cattle trailer of 2-3 angus cows, use the truck to haul wood since I have a woodstove that I use for heat in combination of propane heating, and use it as a everyday drive vehicle with the occasional side gig job of landscaping. Looks like it can fit a Push Mower, 2 Weed-eaters, jerry cans for the lawn mower and weed-eaters, and (if anything comes up to use the truck as a plow for driveway clearing) a plow winter gig and relief for those who can't pay a normal plowman the full price. It won't be a full 100% free job, but you can expect a small bill of $25-$50. I'm an active guy who works a full-time job that works side hustles during the weekend. Any comments on this?
I do feel that the feature addons that were included with the Foundation Series really did add enough value to make it worthwhile if you could afford the cost. I really do hope the non Foundation does get the $7500 tax credit which should be enough to push me over the edge to get mine and get the Wife onboard with the purchase. Until then, I'm still just holding out and hope things just continue to improve in the subtle Tesla ways.
I had the exact same reservations of taking delivery of mine. Since I have not taken delivery yet I am now only waiting for a 2025 vin to confirm my order. I plan to buy a aftermarket camera rearview mirror which I think is what they should’ve done to begin with. Great feedback and review thank you
Hope to hear lots of positives, this is a huge leap of innovation for the world! Imagine what 10 years from now will bring, very exciting times! Even if you dislike the way it looks, you have to give credit to Tesla for actually making what they said they were going to make (minus some tweets).
Tesla promised cheap CT but never said it'll deliver it 1st. It's still coming but in '26/27 IMO (and inflated to ~50K) cause: - CT itself & 4680 cells needs to ramp to cut down prices significantly - 4680 gen3 necessary for small pack to still have tolerable range (gen3 energy density will improve current range too) - 48V & steer-by-wire parts volume production (shared with Robotaxi/M2) will cut down parts prices too Personally I'd wait 2 more yrs for TSLA to refine CT I'm just not sure single motor with short range will cut it. It's an apocalypse truck, fit it with appropriate power!
I'm waiting for a price reduction on the AWD Cybertruck. I have a MY so no rush. I imagine in 2 years the cybertruck will be an entirely different beast as well! :)
Great Job Ryan. You kept me focused the whole time on your review. Cool to see you driving around the Rose Bowl. Hope to see you there sometime. Enjoy your new CyberTruck!
Oh. Someone expressed the view that Tesla will have to worker harder now to get customers and give better service and prices to likely reduce more in the future.
I will be interested when the kinks and build quality issues are fixed. Very impressed with my new Model 3. The “Tesla has bad build quality” argument is finally going away (with that car at least).
The entire point of the cybertrucks design was to make it low cost while being durable - it set off an earthquake in every competitors board room. GM/Chevy showed up with something thats likely better than the cybertruck driven by the specs Tesla announced back in 2019. I do want one but not at its current prices. I'll be back in the market when that range goes up and the prices come down. The main challenge I have is I cant afford the range drop from cold weather and carrying a motorcycle in the back. The 500 mile range wouldve made this competitive with everything else out there. Gas or electric. I also love the looks, there was a cybertruck parked outside my local pizza shop last night. It looked completely sublime.
What most EV drivers who experience range loss in cold weather fail to do, is precondition, or heat up the battery prior to driving. If that massive 1,500 pound battery in the CyberTruck is heated prior to cold weather driving, the range loss will be minimal. A large battery that is heated prior to driving in cold weather isn't going to just become cold after driving for a while in winter weather. An insulated battery will stay warm for extended periods.
Don’t forget, the 2mn preorders are GLOBAL! I’d say maybe 50%+ are outside the USA (maybe even outside North America), so there’s a lot of us who simply have no choice but to wait as they’re not available in our markets.
Steering by wire is AMAZING. Never been another Tesla. I’m glad to hear Ryan feels the same way I do about rear vision. The “It’ll drive itself so it doesn’t need decent rear vision.” SUCKS! Thanks Elon. But I needed a jump start to get to my oil change appointment, I just don’t want to drive my other vehicles, a GMC DURAMAX 4X4 and a Miata. It was about time to put the Miata away for winter anyway. Love one pedal driving. Rear wheel steering is cool too. FSD is fun, a guy gave me a thumbs up and I was able to give him TWO thumbs up and make a left hand turn! His mouth fell open! Bummer, it’s a 250 mile round trip to the service center.
I also personally don’t like the original stainless steel color. I think once bought, people should customize the paint job to their liking. I.e. matte black
Not including the camera washer at the back is just a cost decision, it doesn't make sense to line the tube or add another pump and bottle for that camera. Also the front camera is much more necessary for self driving than the back because you can still have the left and right back facing camera for self driving.
Great review Ryan. Can you do a video in the 100+ voice commands in all Tesla's? So many complain about the lack of buttons and having to use "that dam screen" Many reviewers, including large mainstream media completely miss this and it drives me nuts. Having two hands on the wheel with eyes forward, and saying for ex. turn on the wipers is 100% safer than looking down at steering and fumbling to turn on the wipers...
I test drove a CT in August and the rear view mirror warped while the car was sitting in the summer heat. They really should have a glass rear view camera that is viewable in a glass mirror.
The rear camera is also extreme wide angle, and objects appear WAY further away than they are. Like a car right behind you is barely visible. In my opinion the rear view mirror/camera situation is the biggest miss on this truck. My Ram truck has a rear view camera that is 1. placed where a regular mirror goes 2. is fed from the top of the cab so it works even if the tailgate is down, and 3. looks exactly like the perspective of a normal rear view mirror.
I have the exact same seat creak in my new model y, service appointment this week too. I'm curious how they fix yours. Any updates on the fixes would be great to hear about
My CT has the same front end noise. I think the mass of front end gears causes the noise, and may be of no concern. Let us know if it is determined to be an issue.
Will a right-hand-drive version of the Cybertruck be released, I wonder? Australia, which is a huge market for pickup trucks, requires right-hand drive for sales.
I am a big fan Ryan, mainly because of the simplicity and user perspective in your videos. Like many others, I am facing the dilemma of whether to wait for the new Model Y Juniper or to take the plunge and buy the Model 3 before December this year. I don't need a car right now since I already have a large ICE-based seven-seater and another sedan. I simply want to experience Tesla after watching your videos for such a long time. I test drove both models and found that I liked the Model Y better in terms of space, but I preferred the Model 3 for the features it offers. It's a tough decision. After watching your Cybertruck video, I'm wondering if the Juniper will come with a few imperfections next year. Would it be better to buy the stable Model 3 while the offers are at their peak? It's a difficult choice, for sure.

I also ordered a 3x hummer ev (the equivalent or a 3 motor beast and for some unknown reason GM built it as a dual motor I ended up rejecting it at delivery day . Eventually I want but the cyber truck and hummer but want to make sure both are 3 motor …
I'm a relatively new owner, so take my opinion for what it's worth, but I love mine!
I've been sitting on my ready for delivery reservation for over six months. I'm hoping that they make some basic improvements, especially with the rear view mirror, prior to me finalizing the order and taking delivery. I have two other Telsa's that I'm very happy with.
Me too!
Woah! I bought my Ferrari from that shady dealership that used to own that building in 2021! I’m glad it’s now a Tesla delivery lot. Love my Model Y and watch your videos often, keep up the quality productions!
Congratulations 🍾🎉🎈🎊 on your Cybertruck bro.
My delivery is on Nov 19th here in Canada. Can't wait to FINALLY have one after the long wait 🙂
I’m going to be excited just to start seeing them on the road here in Canada. Haven’t seen one yet…
@TrapZoneCanine The first Canadian deliveries start tomorrow, so it definitely shouldn't take long for you to start seeing them everywhere.
People were posting pictures with dozens of them at Tesla centers across Canada ready to go. It's going to be an exciting time!
I saw a couple in Toronto already with Canadian license plates. Waiting for my delivery date, was told it would be November..
I picked up a cyber truck and for the most part love it.
Great video! Appreciate the honest praise and critiques. Still holding out for tax credit and hopefully a little more refinement with the rear view mirror (which should have been a screen)
Finally, a real user video come out. Which don't cause me to block the channel for the content of how to destory a product.
You know you can just choose not to watch those channels, right?
@@EllieBumbleWhen I skip that video and the algoeithm bring it back again and again. I can only block channel.
I'm still holding off till the $7500 EV Tax Credit (if it ever comes).
This!!! If it was here right now, I’d order! I’m riding a model y performance 3 months old. Love it but I want something bigger
That is the first good excuse I’ve heard to wait to purchase a Cybertruck.
Congrats! If affordability is not an issue Foundation makes the most sense imo. Btw CT looks killer in a lot of your shots.
Curious to hear your reason for thinking such.
Never never never buy a Year 1 vehicle no matter who makes it. Wait 1.5 years then order. (Car salesman manager at major dealership ).
If everyone does that then the product may cease to exist pass gen1.
@@nguyep4 maybe that'll force car companies to make their gen 1 cars not suck
@@nguyep4 I only live once, why would I want to waste time and money on a buggy /unfinished product?
if somebody else wants to be an "early adopter" then good for him/her. Normally those people are influencer or rich
@benjaminmeusburger4254 Not you. Doesn’t mean the product isn't good despite what problems it may have. others accept some quirks and embrace its features and strengths.
My first year Fiero was actually quite good. My first year Lazer was also very good.
Hy, i am in France...y have ordered a 3M but reverse it to 2M...On the waiting list i am délivered (...), end 2026, probabily more end 27...
I find this truck amasing !!!
Thank for you share !!!
What I like about the issues is they are mostly software related, like, in time they will over the air update to resolve themselves
The random squeaking is just new vehicle hard to make yet stuff, that is what service centers are here for
Welcome to the club. I like everything about the CT, except I wish it had longer range for my towing and cross country trips. Best riding and handling truck I have ever driven. Everything in life is a compromise, even my truck :-)
theres a big addon battery coming :-P (I bet there will be aftermarket ones too)
I love how its just as easy to order and pick up a car as it is to go get some take out at a local restaurant. Other brands need to start doing this and start offering their vehicles at a small fraction above what the dealer purchase price is. Dealerships may actually start to improve when consumers have the option to avoid them.
I can't wait to get mine❤❤❤❤❤, I LOVE IT AND IT'S TECHNOLOGY. also it PROTECTION feature. It's my thing.
Congratulations on your new cyber truck. I just took delivery today of my new 2024 M3 AWD. Super excited the learning curve is real.
I love mine! The 24 model 3 is a sweet ride!
Barkeepers's friend is the standard way people clean up the exterior. Works like a charm.
I have always appreciated your videos, Ryan! keep it up.
Beautiful truck. Congratulations
If the range was as promised at least, maybe could make sense but with this price and this range no way.
looking forward to your Cybertruck-specific accessories video.
Great insight! If and when tax credit comes I'll pull trigger on NFS.
Plus u can write it off as a business expense fir your channel. It makes way more sense for you vs someone that doesn't have a Tesla you tube business.
Thank you, Ryan. I have a Cybertruck on order and need to wait for a less expensive model. Once money permits, I really want a Cyberbeast
You've done a wonderful service to all of us who are waiting for theirs.
The fact that FSD doesn’t usually stay neither with the car nor with the owner should be illegal.
I wonder when all Tesla models will use steer by wire.
With FSD the missing cam cleaning at the back is a even more serious error. It should be added ASAP.
That's awesome review, thanks Ryan😊
ALIEN soundtrack! Ok now I know you are cool. BTW back in 2023 I used your referral to get my Model3... THX!
I had the exact same reservations of taking delivery of mine. Since I have not taken delivery yet I am now only waiting for a 2025 vin to confirm my order. I plan to buy a aftermarket camera rearview mirror which I think is what they should’ve done to begin with. Great feedback and review thank you
I've had the luxury of buying new cars for a long time. panel and interior alignment was always an issue for all cars company's
Your reviews are just sooo thorough 👍Great content...
It's still coming but in '26/27 IMO (and inflated to ~50K) cause:
- CT itself & 4680 cells needs to ramp to cut down prices significantly
- 4680 gen3 necessary for small pack to still have tolerable range (gen3 energy density will improve current range too)
- 48V & steer-by-wire parts volume production (shared with Robotaxi/M2) will cut down parts prices too
Personally I'd wait 2 more yrs for TSLA to refine CT I'm just not sure single motor with short range will cut it. It's an apocalypse truck, fit it with appropriate power!
Anyone waiting, I have a suspicion the next gen Cybertruck may have a few big changes compared to the foundation series.
There is no excuse for Tesla cheaping out on things like the camera when the vehicle costs 100k
Excellent review on improvements.
You can turn off the "auto switch to blindspot cam". FYI
Grats man! I finalized my order a couple days ago and waiting for the paperwork phase to finish.
Thanks, Ryan…another good video and review
Nice presentation. Wrap appears a good option with the weather in SOCAL. You could advertise your band.
Great breakdown. Just test drove the Cyber last week…I was skeptical until I drove it. I was sold! That truck is the best truck on the Market.
I also personally don’t like the original stainless steel color. I think once bought, people should customize the paint job to their liking. I.e. matte black
The finger prints that it leaves at the door is wild much like my SS fridge.
Don’t forget FSD transfer. I waited for that one to pull the trigger. Same day VIN Oct 22 for non FS
Not including the camera washer at the back is just a cost decision, it doesn't make sense to line the tube or add another pump and bottle for that camera. Also the front camera is much more necessary for self driving than the back because you can still have the left and right back facing camera for self driving.
Tesla does all the wow features before the hygienes, amazing to see a lot of people fund this productization approach for years
Great review Ryan.
Good ONE Ryan ...enjoyed that thoroughly! Happy Cybertruckin' !nK from Oz
Congratulations! On the foundation model! 🤯
Any updates on the fixes would be great to hear about
Get it wrapped with black hexagon tiles around the nose and sides.
My CT has the same front end noise. I think the mass of front end gears causes the noise, and may be of no concern. Let us know if it is determined to be an issue.
They really should have just made the rear view mirror a camera feed screen.
Will a right-hand-drive version of the Cybertruck be released, I wonder? Australia, which is a huge market for pickup trucks, requires right-hand drive for sales.
Buy an aftermarket reverse camera mirror style
Thanks for calling attention to the gapless playback issue. It used to work fine until a May software update. Tesla, please fix!
