Hi katie 🥰 Omgosh. Daniel, this is so good. I’m so glad I did this,I swear I don’t want to go back to oven baked or fried chicken- boiling the chicken and it’s soup is phenomenal! I did this soup with spaghetti noodles,as I’m in the uk and recent events I could not get any other kind, however I did find since then udon noodles. The only difference I did for seasoning was using chicken stock powder(this is quite salty)+ fresh ground black pepper- everything else exactly what you have demonstrated. I cannot get enough of this. Awesome 👏🏻
After boiling once, turning the heat to the minimum and cooking about 1 hour or little more is enough to make the broth delicious and still the meat is not over cooked.
Hey I am from India, I cooked this today for New Year's Eve and it was awesome ❤ , the spicy gochujang dip was a rocket, thanks bro for the recepie...luv from India
Hi Daniel! I've made this many many times. My husband and I love it! And I just looooove seeing the rainy scene outside in this video. I'm making this dakgomtang recipe for dinner tonight. Thank you for all the work you put into your channel!
I just watched Hwasa from MAMAMOO eating this dish on the show "I Live Alone"! It looked so delicious and I got curious on how it's made. This video is God-sent! Thank you!
01:17 My dad used to call that "the Bishop's nose" and "the part that went over the fence last". I like your name for it and also your content. I never miss an upload.
"The part that went over the fence last".. ha! Was your dad from the American South, by chance? My Kentucky granny used to speak in a similar fashion. Of course, then again, so did my Liverpudlian mum. Guess every culture has its funny sayings. Today I was on the phone and heard myself say, in the course of conversation, "Madder'n a wet hen," and thought, "Where did *that* come from?" Then five minutes later, my neighbor asked me to help her translate something and I told her, "Let me just turn off the stove. I'll meet you outside in two shakes of a lamb's tail!" It's as if my Kentucky granny and my British mother have taken over my speech today.
That part is commonly called the "Pope's nose" or "bishops nose" all over the Anglosphere but I've never heard the line "the part that went over the fence last" before
I make a similar soup but being Punjabi it will have added peppercorns, cloves & a pinch of turmeric. It's my Mother's recipe & has served me well for years. Now to order those sweet potato starch noodles!
judging from a picture, this dish looks like it's difficult and time consuming to make but it's actually so easy!! looks sooo delicious, thanks for sharing daniel :) :)
I love watching your videos, because all your measurements are so realistic 😂. Like half the time I’m just like “soo...what’s 2/3?? 👀” or etc and you’ll be like “length of forearm. Size of your fist. Two fingers. Etc.” Growing up asian, my parents never measured to. They literally did everything by 👁 or body measurements 😂
I like it too but growing up in an area where it rains 170+ days a year that feeling can wear thin after awhile. There's nothing better then the first rains after summer though
This looks so delicious and I happen to have all the ingredients on hand ! So I know what I'm making for dinner tonight! Thank you so much for uploading 💕 i cant wait to try it !

Definitely gonna try this!!! I've been following your videos for your years now and I love them!! Also, I'm just about what mic you use! Your sound is so good!
Hi from the Philippines! Tried it for our dinner tonight. It was a great dish to have. Similar in taste to one of one of soups here, but the difference is in the preparation and method. It is really good. Glad to have another korean dish added to my arsenal of meals I know how to cook. Thanks buddy! God bless and prosper you. 😊🙏
That looks yummy! I made chicken soup today also. I had roasted a whole chicken on Sunday, made chicken tacos Monday, and made stock from the rest today. I add a big piece of ginger to mine, because I love ginger. My husband just got home and we’re about to eat.
I am so envious of your meal!!! I'm too tired to go out and buy stuff and make anything right now haha. That soup looks perfect for a hangover too! ♥_____♥
I really like this food when I was in Korea before with the side dish of kimchi radish. Its very comfortable soup and its like an arroz caldo of Filipino food.
Really hope some of your viewers will give it a go.. it’s truly delicious and you’d definitely get a surprise at how good it is. This is feel good food,at its finest 👌👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Moldovans also have a chicken rice soup with veggies. We all used to eat it during our childhoods. It is oftentimes served in kindergartens and schools and NOWHERE to find in restaurants because it's considered too simple.
daniel, would you recommend cooking with a 뚝배기 on an induction stovetop? or will it not be able to cook as well if it's not over fire? i think you read my mind posting this video. we just had 닭곰탕 at our school on thursday and my kids and i were so happy!
Arizona Heat... I remember it vividly. My friend and I were throwing the football outside in August... it was so dry... and after about half an hour, I caught the ball and the skin on my palm just ripped! ☠️ It's dry out thurrrr!
@@FutureNeighbor Oh, my gosh, Dan-yul! How awful, that you had such a strange injury due to the extreme heat! But how incredible that you were fit enough to exercise *at all* outside in August in Arizona! If the question isn't too personal, did you live here or just visit? And which city? Okay, now I am going to go be all happy because I got a reply from you guys! So so fun! 😍
I live in Western Washington and we actually had over 90 days without rain this year which is crazy considering that it's strange for us to go more then 6 weeks without rain. It's one of the reasons we had massive forest fires this year and for awhile the area between Portland and Olympia was testing as having the worst air quality in the world. I was so glad when we finally got our usual rains. It's always weird for me going to places like Arizona since I grew up not far from Forkes WA where it averages about 100-120 inches of rain a year, so when people are like "it hasnt rained in 4 months" I'm afraid I'm going to dry up like a garden snail.
Que rico!!! looks wonderful... I will feel terribly tempted to add Chipotle chilli mixed with the spicy bit... A Korean friend was talking about Samgyetan a couple of days ago! Have you got a recipe for it? If you don't could that be a near future video?? Love following you!
IKR? Korea gets the best green onions, the ones where I live in the Western US are normally a fraction that size. The last ones I got were grown in California and they weren't much thicker then pencils and about 16-18 inches long
This looks so amazing!! Is there another pieces of chicken you can use instead of a whole? I usually get legs and thighs bone in together... but this looks so amazing I want to make it!
At the final stage, if I don't have that type of bowl, on a normal cooking pot what do you put in? just the glass noodle or the whole thing chicken, rice, glass noodle and the broth?
Dan-yul, when you put the whole chicken in, does it still have its organs inside? the lower intestines are removed and cleaned but wht abt the heart and liver and other above stuff?
Omg!! This was so good!!🔥😋 It tasted even better the next day
Hi katie 🥰

In the spicy paste, what is the red powder... Koochicara...???
Is it more common to serve non-spicy style or with the gochukaru mix?
