I just installed a 4/6 drop on my 2018 Sierra 1500. I need to replace the rear shocks but don’t know what to buy. Do you have a part number for the ones used on this video?
Was this truck lifted or leveled prior to the lowering being done? A few things caught my eye upon disassembly. And would using the lowering inserts there under the shock mount cause decreased ride characteristics? Do you have to match up the lowering amount with a specific replacement shock in both the front and back to match the same drop amount? Thanks for the video.
Yes it was leveled with rear shackles. And yes in my opinion using the drop strut rings does take away from the ride but no matter what method you do will do it as well. The only method we DO NOT recommend flipping the the shock mount under the lower control arm. That makes it ride unbearable. And only the rear shock needs to be replace or add the rear shock mount bracket. But some kits do come with from strut replacements which will make it ride better. Hope that helps.
How do you get rid of the chevy lean on the 2014 silverado. Ive lowered it with 2 inch spindles oem springs and 1 inch belltech strouts which gave me a 3 inch drop in front. Truck is leaning on drivers side.
Hi great video. Thanks for taking the time. I have a 2011 4x4 what is the most I can do on the rear without cutting and still have some load capacity and what would the front need to be to be level? Thank you
What's the best configuration to maintain driveline angles? 2018 1500 4x4. I already pulled the rear blocks out and went to 2wd u-bolts. I want 2-3" inches lower front and rear
@@user--710that's not helpful unless you explain how... springs up front and a shackle bracket in the rear? Problem is the using the rear of the leaf to lower tips the pinion down...
Should you not have cut out 1 rib on the front bump stops and removed the rear ones and put in smaller ones? Do they not now bottom out? Great video BTW.
About to do the Belltech 6525 on the Rear Now...I originally bought the BellTech 985HK System that 3 Inch Coilovers and 3 inch Drop in the Rear but Rear Sits To High for me. So im doing a 5/6
He removed the stock hanger and put an adjustable lift hanger that you can put at 5 or 6” drop with stock shackle . He put that hanger at the 5” holes and added the longer shackles in the middle hole to lift it 1”
I’m looking to lower the rear of my truck, I bought the shackles but I read somewhere that the hanger kit allows you to have the same load capacity which I still want. Would I be able to install both the aftermarket shackles and the hangers to get that leveling look without loosing load capacity and removing the blocks? Sorry if this is a dumb question but this is the first time I’m doing something like this

Depends on the part and the way u got but I paid 2/4 flip kit, for 1k which is pretty expensive. I did a 3” lift block on the axle which drops it 3” then I added 2” drop shackle with the hanger for a totally of 2/9. Anything over 6 you need a c notch over 8 step notch
That block kind of holds it all together… it has a dimple on one end and a divot on the other. I’ve never heard of doing that but it there is a way please share
I have a 2010 Silverado with a 4/6 drop flip kit and I have shocks that take air and I hate the shocks and yes I bottom out. I want to go up to a 4/5 drop and change the shocks but I don’t know which shocks would be best.
Flip kit . With long shackles raise your height ? Flip kit with small shackles lower height ? I’m very much confused now . What about pinion angles this not giving out drive line vibes ?
Hello quick question , when your going this low does it affect the driveshaft? Or is there any modifications done to it as well?
Beautiful job! Nicely done!
Definitely going to do the same on my truck!
Wish I could have you guys to do it! But I live on the vineyard!
The explanation definitely on point 👍🏼
A air hammer with a nice chisel bit will take the rivets out fairly quickly I suggest hearing protection
Took me a day to get my hearing back😂😂

I have a 18 gmc sierra with a flip kit. So I need new shocks and extenders to improve my ride? Thanks in advance.
Use lowered shocks it will ride better
Can you do that on 4x4 truck?
How hard is it to go from a 6in lift to a 3/5 drop?

Can you tow or pull anything with a 2/4 drop
Yes it’s a small drop
Will there be any ride quality difference after doing the drop
💀
YeS!
Where can buy the kit I got a 2016 gmc serria 1500
What I need to get when I want a 5/12 drop ? On a GMC Sierra stl
To get a 12” in the rear you need to re fabricate the frame to clear the axel and maybe cut the bed as well.
Whats the average cost of lowering a pickup?

What kit do you recommend for a 2/4 drop on a 2018 4x4
I believe Crown suspension make one for a 4WD
How much to lower mine bro ?
Engine next?
I wanna do a 3-5 drop to my 2007 new body Vortec Max. I really don’t wanna have to remove the rear stock shackle bracket.
i got same truck! i wanna do the same! 3-5 drop
Yeah it’s tough to get the drop without changing out the hanger. If you don’t it takes it down too low thou
@@BreakersStereo Couldn’t you just do a flip and change the shackles for a 5 or 6” drop?
I what to do 6” on the rear do a need to C notch?
6” is fine without a c notch but obviously If you have one it is less likely to bottom out. We normally don’t do one unless it’s 7” or more

How long did this take in real time.
5 hours
Nice detailed instructions. Still to high for my taste though.
he said this customer wanted only a 2/4 drop
What brand is the kit you installed ?
That was a crown kit
Flip kit . With long shackles raise your height ? Flip kit with small shackles lower height ? I’m very much confused now . What about pinion angles this not giving out drive line vibes ?
Yes with a flip kit long shackles raises. Smaller equals lower and not for these heights, never ran into vibration issues
Yo vaje mi camioneta 3/5 despues de alinearla la yanta de efrente topa mas de lo normal q el otro lado la q topa es lado del volante
so is there any method of lowering a 2018, 2 - 4 without changing the ride quality
You really don’t gotta take the whole fuel tank apart there’s a easier way of doing it
Hi
Bro at least put some grade 8 bolts
That’s what the kit comes with. But yeah grade 8 is better for sure!!!
My slt is about that height An it’s stock 😂
Is your suspension sagging ?? Cuz it shouldn’t! 😂
Well it all sounds good till u cant hold an alignment
