    @WaveAction777 4 года назад +7

    You can put the helper bags and put separate schrader valves for left and right so you can individually set heights. In fact if you had the lowering shackles on BOTH rear sides, you could pump up the left rear bag a little bit more than the right to compensate for the Chevy Lean

    Had that Chevy lean when i dropped my S10 5" front 6" out back and found the end links on the sway bar are unequal lengths-solved the problem using a bolt the same length and leveled the front out-reason why they use unequal lengths is so the vehicle will pull to the right slightly in case you fall asleep behind the wheel your ride will go off the road instead of into oncoming traffic.

    I've been a Tech since 2000. I've had that exact same assembly apart more times than I could ever remember. Even the 4wd setup has only 1 more nut (axle nut). I think you did an outstanding job displaying a way that most people can do at home. Did you remember to notch out the upper control arm bolt holes for camber/caster adjustment? There is a really cool tool that does it with a 7'8 wrench. Take care Brother. Great job! -Derek-

    Sharp. I've had 2 lowered nbs trucks but both had 4/6 djm kits on them. Been debating back and forth on doing one of my 04s. How does the springs ride in the front? Can you tell a slight difference at all?

      Thank you. Spring rides good. I have had djm kit in the past also and I believe this is better on these year trucks.

    I'm not sure where you are, but up here in northern Canada, the last time I seen an 05 in that nice a shape was in 05. Beautiful truck, and a really great lowering vid. I will be doing the same to my 05 Silverado, wish it was in that nice shape. Now I have some good advice tips and how to, hopefully I can get the same parts? Enjoyed this vid, thanks!

    Great video, in the process of installing flip kit my wife and kids got me for birthday this year. Unfortunately mine isn’t going as easy as yours. Already have 2” shackles and hangers so switching to 1” lift hangers. My leaf won’t go back up and my flip kit doesn’t fit snug around the axle when I put it in the perch. There’s a gap between axle and block 😡

    Thank you for putting this video together. I have an 04 1500 4WD with the 5.3 and have only found one 5/7 drop kit for it. Do you know if it will be safe to drop a 4WD that low? Anything else I should be aware of?

    • @TWAMotorsports
      @TWAMotorsports  5 лет назад +1

      4wd in this body style can get that low but the ride may not be great. Spindles and keys up front. Flip in the rear. Front shafts may not like it though

    • @boosted_greg2193
      @boosted_greg2193 5 лет назад

    Not done watching but the first thing that came to mind when you traced out the "C" notch was that you traced out the cut out from the inside, save some time and trace the "outside" so you don't have to spend extra time grinding off the excess material. To ensure a snug fit, cut out the material on the inside of the line and it will give you just a bit of material to play with that you can grind down to make it snug.

    • @TWAMotorsports
      @TWAMotorsports  5 лет назад

      Thank you. I actually thought about that and did it on the other side. Good catch.

    • @TWAMotorsports
      @TWAMotorsports  5 лет назад +1

      I used 2 Jacks in the video. The one you like is from harbor freight. It has been great but sorry I don't have a link for it.
