Avoiding beginners’ scoop on sax

When trying to bend a note on sax, don’t tongue, use an air attack, breath only, HAAH type of articulation. Also, once you get the gist don’t overdo it! This is a tendency for less experienced players. If you’re having trouble relaxing the lip, increase air support and also try bending a high left hand note manually with the right hand. This is also a way to learn about vibrato.
