The song is about his father and the guilt he feels in his father walking out of his life. Him blaming himself. "Stones to throw at my creator" is a perfect line for that. . And also his father was at a concert and Corey played it for him.
Dude Vin is horrible at reacting to lyrics. He never understands the true meaning of songs. He thinks he's being deep but he's not. Sori on the other hand is very good at this.

Al Lefrancois I totally agree, even if I don’t like the new direction a band takes I don’t take it as selling out. They have to mature and evolve otherwise everything starts to sound repetitive especially if they’re around for a long time. I personally prefer stone sour to slipknot. I like some slipknot but a lot of their stuff is to screamo for me. I love good guitar and lyrics with such emotion. I think this song got big when it was released on the Spider-Man soundtrack by just Corey Taylor, then it was released by stone sour on their self titled album.
I'm so glad you finally got into doing Stone Sour! Unlike a lot of Slipknot fans at the time I totally embraced this group. I've always loved duality (ha) in music and talent. I absolutely love that Corey can melt your face with Slipknot and then turn around and melt the ice from your heart with Stone Sour! It's absolutely amazing. In my opinion he's the most versatile vocalist ever. Please do more Stone Sour! Love you guys! Keep it up!
Yes, he is. He can sing, rap, and if he wanted to he could sing country. I don't care for country, but I know he would sound amazing. I don't know why some Slipknot fans don't like Stone Sour, I'm still trying to figure out why some people only like one type of music. I personally could not just listen to one type, I get in different moods. Like when I'm driving, it's gonna be Slipknot. If I'm just chillin and relaxing, Stone Sour. Or that type of music for those two scenarios. You know what I mean.
For a long time I always read this as being about the struggles of depression. The way your struggle to care, the way you hurt so much you want just stop feeling altogether, the way you wear a mask to hide what's going on and just how bad it really is and how much you're struggling and overwhelmed. Now knowing about how he was raped as a child i think this is a lot about that and the aftermath of it. How as a child he had no voice, no power to protest against what happened to him. The shame and embarrassment that led him to hide what happened from everyone for so long. Theres a really common phenomenon among survivors of sexual violence where they will hide what happened to protect the people they care about from the pain they are feeling. Holding onto the lie, the mask no matter how much he bleeds, no matter how much it hurts. The song hurts but it's a such a great, meaningful song. Free hugs for anyone who needs one right now.

It could be about depression and thoughts of suicide. Because of a past of abuse in childhood. And saying that no one needs to bother and he is slipping farther but if he decides to hold on he won’t let go until it bleeds. It’s like him facing his demons of the past that haunt his everyday life and him saying I’m slipping farther is like I’m slipping farther into the darkness but once he holds on he won’t commit that self destruction ( suicide) to end the pain. And if he does give in he will never live down his deceit intern he will regret it.

Or just any song of theirs :D
Extreme - More than Words
Of course Vin never gave this a chance, it's an emotionally deep song. All Vin did was eat Korn, sleep Korn, and shit Korn. (See what I did there?)
tru dat
howlingmine All due respect to Slipknot who I love, Korn deserves a lot of credit too, and I’m delighted to call myself a fan
Power Trip - Divine Apprehension
Power Trip - Hornet’s Nest
Power Trip - Crucifixation
Stone Sour Unfinished, that's a heavy one
It could be about depression and thoughts of suicide. Because of a past of abuse in childhood. And saying that no one needs to bother and he is slipping farther but if he decides to hold on he won’t let go until it bleeds. It’s like him facing his demons of the past that haunt his everyday life and him saying I’m slipping farther is like I’m slipping farther into the darkness but once he holds on he won’t commit that self destruction ( suicide) to end the pain. And if he does give in he will never live down his deceit intern he will regret it.
Stone Sour Song #3 and through glass
Had to look closely to make sure Vin wasn't rocking the No Limit Records chain.
Anathema - Internal Landscapes
This song sounds like A Match Made In Heaven by Architects.
Stone Sour - Absolute Zero and Stone Sour - Through Glass
Im loving this new set you two!! I love love love you guys!!!!! Bother is one of the grrrrrreatest songs by Corey ... I love Corey Taylor and Vin and Sori !!
Btw, react to 'Fabuless' by Stone Sour. I know you're going to like that one.
Its a hard song to fight, I ball everytime I hear it.
There are some good heavy songs by Stone Sour too! Did you guys finish all that chocolate? :)
If memory serves me correct I actually think this song is about his father
17:41 when vin and sori children think about getting a diary and thinks its a good idea
Inhale was maybe the best song on that album. Inhale, and Monolith was a close second for me.
According to Corey Tailor, this song is about losing yourself and finding yourself in one breath. And as far as I'm aware of, it's also about all this music industry bullshit, depression and moving forward on your life/ career
Stone Sour - Through Glass
