MGK literally started with that kind of music and u might not like it but its a lot better than his "rap" albums and stuff besides a few songs. If a rapper starts a fight with honesty and loses, u can still show respect towards him, especially when ur dissing the biggest name this industry ever whitnessed. I agree to an extent and even though I'm not a fan, he's talented for sure. You gotta understand that rap beef is ruthless tho and goin at a massive rapper, can be career damaging and fans never let u live it down. Mgk quit rap after kill shot made movies but couldnt get a star role then went and made rock album and then fucked that up by dissing rock legends like Corey Taylor and they kicked him out of the rock scene. You don't think he's put out a rap song since the diss? The beef was in 2018. In 2018 he released Rap Devil as a single and in his rap EP Binge. In 2019 he released Hotel Diablo, probably his best rap album to date. (In 2020 he released Tickets to My Downfall - a rock album, with Travis Barker that they made spontaneously within a month and a half, which charted No 1. and people were saying it blew up by luck, so he and Travis made mgk's second rock album (Mainstream Sellout) in 2022 to prove that it wasn't luck. And they charted No 1. again. Since when he started rap, mgk had always wanted to do punk rock type stuff, but he was going steady with rap, so he wanted/waited to do it when he knew his career would be fine if that style flopped.) In 2020 he released Lockdown Sessions a rap EP on RUclips. In 2023 mgk released three rap cyphers on RUclips and one of them was a Killa Cam freestyle (one of Eminem's songs?) where he dissed Jack Harlow. In March 2024 he released a rap EP/Album with Trippie Redd. 2 days ago (July 5), mgk released the deluxe version of Hotel Diablo, for the albums 5 year anniversary. And since 2018 hes released many rap singles in between all of his projects and been featured rapping on many songs. So I wouldn't say Eminem made him leave the rap game. He's going pretty strong.
Kill shot was dope lyrically , but to be real , rap devil was a dope diss tracK . Definitely probably the only dude that got close to beefing with eminem really well

Talking about Hailie "in the most respectful way possible" would be "beautiful young lady," not "Hot AF" That is closer to the least respectful way possible.
At the end of the day, all you need to know, Eminem is right here, MGK was wrong. Doesn't matter how long it took for him to respond, MGK was wrong.. and will always be wrong. Honestly... like once you know she was only like 15 when that happened? No.. Hailie is married in real life right now, showing that Em is okay with his daughter dating and more =/ it's the fact... you know..??? She was underaged, and he was disrespectful.. on top of a whole slew of other things MGK did On top of that, Em killed him twice, first on Not Alike, then on Killshot
Eminem definitely killed him with kill shot but mgk definitely was still rapping after he did rock and rap both was doing numbers on RUclips he got couple fire songs with trippie redd

Well it's supposed to be mimicking sarcasticly towards eminem's sarcastic disrespect in previous diss tracks eminem did. He asked eminem how he's still mad when he's already richer than everyone else on the playing field. Completely different than what you just said. Mgk did his thing. It's notable in my mind today in 2024. Btw MGK does still rap he did what he wanted to do when he did his punk music style. Does anyone have an open enough mind to still follow what he's doing career wise or did you think he should literally die careerwise just because he became such a problem so fast for eminem, that eminem actually had to do work to top that potential mgk has. That's fan bias. Nobody wants to admit we have new talent. I'd listen to mgk over the rest of the younger generation. Period. He earned a good few stripes in this battle. Anybody who won't mentally budge on mgk and saying he doesn't deserve a chance due to eminem, is bias as crap. He has undeniable talent at rap. You're toxic to the culture if you don't give him dues at all. HE GOT EMINEM'S ATTENTION TO THE POINT EM LITERALLY SAID HE COULDN'T IGNORE HIM. HE HAD TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. THAT'S GREAT FOR THE CULTURE OF HIPHOP/RAP AND IT'S VALUES!
By the way Eminem wasn’t the reason he went to pop punk/rock. His career was fine he was pulling a pretty good amount of fans. The reason I think I’m ok hinting at pop punk and TTMD a whole pop punk album was made was because his best friend Mod Sun grew up in the scene (punk scene) so did mgk as mgk is also a big fan of pop punk and grunge. Mgk told mod that after ‘I think I’m ok’ on hotel Diablo that he’d make a whole pop punk album and be successful with it as a bet with Mod Sun, and Mod called bullshit being a best friend😂 mgks album Tickets To My Downfall was very successful paving a way for Nu Pop Punk to arrive while many artists went Pop Punk making a comeback in the punk/rock scene. He brought back a genre that was dying and then Mod Sun followed the trend with his album Internet Killed The Rockstar which was a really successful album. So mgk to go pop punk was all just because of best friends making a bet and having fun😅

yes but those 2 albums are what caused him to focus his energy on punk rock. Imagine being so appalled that Em called you a mumble rapper, which I agree MGK was not in this category, and then releasing flaming garbage like Binge EP which was objectively a mumble rap album. I don't have anything bad to say about Hotel Diablo, one of his best albums, right on par with Lace Up, it just wasn't received well. I’m a die hard stan.. but MGK’s diss was the best Eminem diss track attempt. He would’ve won against anyone besides Marshall
what about kendrick lamar?
MGK couldn’t win a rap battle against a mute man with no rhythm.
@@sethnmarshall Stop hating on MGK, he's not even bad, your just 🍆 riding Em. It's a shame people like you can't appreciate both of them.
Exactly
I think there's a pretty healthy list of people who are better battle rappers than mgk that being said he definitely isn't without talent
Both you and your dad are doing great and it's always a pleasure to watch your reactions, subscribed!❤
Thank you so much!!
Rap Devil gets a B- alright song, corny video. Kill shot is just that. A kill shot
What exactly did Em say that was a Killshot?
Unlike most rappers that go for Em, MGK didn't just make a song with generic disses. He had an actual reason to go for him. MGK came with stuff to expose Em, saying he was banning him for certain things and holding back his career. Also, touching on issues with Em's pride
While Em's song is catch af and has a kinda villainous tone to it. All he said diss wise was "I'm better than you and I'm rich". Not actually responding to what Kels was taking issue with
In terms of public opinion, of course Em won. He's a much bigger star and has an undefeatable reputation. But he didn't really say anything shocking towards MGK
@@hib6076 bruh wut? You got the script flipped. MGK's fans all said MGK's was catchier but Em's hit harder.
Also, did you even watch the video? Em has already said, he never even knew MGK existed till MGK started dissing Em. How could he blacklist someone who he doesn't even know exist? C'mon, think a little
If you thought Em's lines were superficial, clearly you didn't catch any of Em's lines on the first place. Em isn't just dissing MGK, he's also referencing the whole group behind MGK and dissing all of them too
@Ken_neThT the comparisons were there forever, there is no way Em didn't know who MGK was. The fact you believed that diss shows the mental capacity I'm working with here
And it's well documented that after MGK spoke on Hailey, MGK lost any opportunities with those affiliated with Em. He WAS trying to hold back Kelly's career
@@hib6076
"comparisons were there forever"
What? A white dude rapping? Do you understand exactly how many white dudes there are in the rap industry? Off the top of my head I could name 3 that were way bigger than MGK
Hurr durr mental capacity. Yeah sure, you talking about your own?
And obviously? Anyone who knows Em would know not to talk to anyone that talks about his daughter like that. Don't need Em to personally say it
@@Ken_neThThe called bro a mumble rapper.
Automatic L. MGK literally got his whole ass name for being the complete opposite of a mirror rapper. They first called him machine gun Kelly cuz he could flow fast while still enunciating every word.
All Ems diss did was prove that Em fans are fucking cultists who swallow any load bro busts at them.
One of the best Killshot reaction video of them all and I watched like 100 different channels 😂!
Hailie was underage when MGK (21) made some sexual comments about her.

Dude! Pop's face when you said MGK started making rock songs! I'm crying laughing!
Please react to Not Alike!!! It's the track Rap Devil was in response to, and Em's doubles on that song are incomparable. Would love to see y'alls reaction to that!
Honestly round one is 'Not Alike' vs. 'Rap Devil' and the beef was already decides there. Not alike was way better. Killshot was just that, the killshot.
So I stumbled on this while doing my nails. Y'know, when you just let the videos play and figure something good is bound to come on even if you don't like the one that's playing. Anyways, y'all had me cracking up! I love that your Pops is getting to enjoy the fact that he raised a man that he respects enough to now call 'friend'. The two of you made my whole week, thanks for being real, love to you and yours!
Preciate the kind words! Much luv ❤️
I can understand that ppl hate on MGK because they like Em and there are for sure some things he did wrong, but u still gotta respect MGK for first of all dissing Em and if we are honest, the disses are good. Not even big names had the balls to diss Em, even tho Em dissed them. Also the fact that people be saying that Em made MGK switch genres because he lost so bad is just weird af. MGK literally started with that kind of music and u might not like it but its a lot better than his "rap" albums and stuff besides a few songs.
If a rapper starts a fight with honesty and loses, u can still show respect towards him, especially when ur dissing the biggest name this industry ever whitnessed.
At the end this is one reason of why we started to listen to rap.
I agree to an extent and even though I'm not a fan, he's talented for sure. You gotta understand that rap beef is ruthless tho and goin at a massive rapper, can be career damaging and fans never let u live it down. Mgk was asking for it and got it lol...On a side note , the word 'Witnessed' doesn't have a "h" in it by the way. 👍
Stop MGK fans trying to pump this idiot up the disses were elementary just dissing his age and style of dressing and then uses auto tune after that he goes over to rock and tries to diss one of the biggest rock bands to be honest he should be happy he was not unalived as a result because you usually don’t go around dissing behemoth’s in music trying to make a name for yourself and survive
You can never go at someone's family members and not expect to get fking demolished. And yeah Em made Mgk go back to where he belonged originally
Mgk was a rapper 1st tho but he always had rock influences. The hate he still gets is generally played out 4 sure, but I think he's been maturing the last 2 years
i love the family vibe so much
Mgk quit rap after kill shot made movies but couldnt get a star role then went and made rock album and then fucked that up by dissing rock legends like Corey Taylor and they kicked him out of the rock scene. Honestly, the only reason MGK got success in rock is because his name was attached to Travis Barker, an infamous drummer for Blink 182. He couldn't make a song without him. But when he started creating drama, Barker gave up on him.
I’m sorry but that rap devil song was way too good for mgk write on his own. Not a single thing I heard from him had this quality.
Pee Diddy
You must’ve never heard any of his real music. Not the commercial the record label makes him put out.
Love this daddy son combination. Made me sub.❤
Love this reaction with your dad! You got my sub bro, keep up the good shit!
I love your reactions, you and Pops some cool ass dudes.
so good to see a retrospect of this, was cracking up too during parts
Pops is cool. I subbed. Great video y'all.
"Had to give you a career to destroy it."
Summed this entire thing up perfectly.
Make sure he gets a full background. He needs to see the vid of mgk poppin a bottle of champagne. He needs to hear the song MGK makes with tech9. All of it. Otherwise he wont see the masterpiece that killshot it.
Facts... Too many people skip over how layered Ems response is simply because it's Em 25 years in.
Your dad is funny love his reactions😂
His mistake was dissing slim shady, not Eminem 🥶
Ur dad is hilarious!!! Those “damn” he kept hollering. Made me fall from my sear
Can't wait to see his reaction to killshot, probably top 10 rap disses of all time
Dad laughing over “white toothpick” has me rolling. 😂😂😂
You need to
A. React to Not Alike, as the prelude to Rap Devil
B. React to Knox Hill breaking down both Not Alike and KillShot
Hailey wasn’t of age! Hence the
“You know who you ‘R Kelly’” line from the kamikaze album
This was the best diss song I’ve heard towards Em. MGK for sure earned his stripes with this one.
Them pink stripes nailpolish.. 😂
@@_aweshitthere’s a difference between someone who appreciate Rap and someone who just likes Eminem. I think Eminem is the greatest of all time but this was a very good diss and the best ever diss towards em. You just like Eminem bro

When I first heard rap devil I wasn’t really paying attention to the lyrics nor did I knowing was MGK… and I thought it was good. I bumped it in the car. But then I heard “hello Marshall, my name’s colson…” I was like wait wtf. So I started it over and actually listened. Immediately thought “oh man… MGK’s career is done. Why go after Em?” NO ONE has ever been successful from this. RIP.
No, no, no. Hailie was a minor. Mgk was an adult.
Oh and mgk had a ghost writer for his dis.
That part in "Not Alike" where Em acknowledged MGK is still one of my favorites. The beat switch, the flow changes, crazy man
16:52 Ages well with that P Diddy thing 😅
This reminds me of bucketheadnation😢
I love what you got going on! Keep going!❤
Yeah Em did the dad thing and brought the shotgun to just "talk" to MGK
Em dissing is just him being annoyed.
"I just wanna talk to him, I just wanna talk to him, I just wanna talk to him" ~ Peter Griffin
All these years since kill shot came out. I’ve not heard in person speak on that Swayze line. Where’s meaning one call to interscope and he will be a ghost (Swayze and Whoopi) movie.

His best song since this beef is PRESSURE
Bizarre's reaction to all this going on was the funniest shit for me
Kill shot was dope lyrically , but to be real , rap devil was a dope diss tracK . Definitely probably the only dude that got close to beefing with eminem really well
They didnt mention how MGK said he wanted to do to Eminem physically what Eminem did to him mentally on the Breakfast Club Interview, and could see it by him drinking vodka at 9am during the interview.
Why not do Not Alike? That one’s dope
Seeing ypur pops laugh on that white toothpick hit cracked me the hell up this AM
I usually don’t have 30 minutes to watch a video, but glad I did lol..
You two weren’t jumping around the room screaming.. just feels more real.. and cool how you showed your dad back footage to lead up to the video.. good job guys
Would have hit harder if it weren’t for the fact mgk got two #1 albums after the beef (don’t care what genre, a #1, is a #1, period). Both good tracks, but I still have em winning. But nit by as much as I expected.
It was a leg shot.
He had 2 albums? Wow
People forget this when they talk about this online
Talking about Hailie "in the most respectful way possible" would be "beautiful young lady," not "Hot AF" That is closer to the least respectful way possible.
0:09 nope, sure am not😂
At the end of the day, all you need to know, Eminem is right here, MGK was wrong. She was underaged, and he was disrespectful.. on top of a whole slew of other things MGK did
On top of that, Em killed him twice, first on Not Alike, then on Killshot
Eminem definitely killed him with kill shot but mgk definitely was still rapping after he did rock and rap both was doing numbers on RUclips he got couple fire songs with trippie redd
Eminem killed him with what bar? that his bigger than mgk in his own city?
Great vid but they got the timeline wrong, MGK was featured by Tech N9ne on "No Favors" sneak dissing Em, he responded on "Not Alike" with Royce and then Rap Devil and Killshot.
i forgot how terrible rap devil was. homie just said "eminem is old hes mad and hes rich" hahha also, the trick trick line is wack. trick trick is a literal mob boss that prevented people from playing in detroit czu they fucked with em. he stopped rick ross on the damn runway loll
20:13 be’a literally ONLY done rap for the last 2 years. Wym? He literally just did one 2 weeks about “bmXXing”
1:24 My uncle gasped just like this when he heard that the beef started with MGK making remarks abt Hallie. He actually went-"That's the one person Eminem actually loves and MGk really went there? He shot himself in the foot for sure."

I second this, also highly recommene Ice Cube's Amerikkka's Most Wanted and or The Predator and or Death Certificate
He actually put out Hotel Diablo right after the beef. And BINGE EP, then he started making rock music
yes but those 2 albums are what caused him to focus his energy on punk rock. Dude creates drama wherever he goes, actually dissed Slipknot when he was heavy in the Rock scene and absolutely butchered, eviscerated the classic song Aerials on the Howard Stern show. I honestly don't know how he had the popularity he did in the rock scene.
@@michaelmoore2052MGK trying to talk shit about Slipknot made me cringe so hard. Like bro Corey Taylor is not only one of the best vocalists of his generation but one of the best song writers/lyricists period. I fw MGK and I was like "nah bro just shut up right now"😭
