  • Is worrying bad for you.? Is worrying bad for the heart? Constant worrying is common in Generalised Anxiety Disorder and you may worry about worry. You may worry that all the worrying is harmful to you. I look at the evidence to see if worry is bad for you, how worry effects the heart and how you can reduce your anxiety and worry using CBT

I have been watching your videos for some time and they have helped, but unfortunately all I see with this video is that I will have heart disease in the future and makes me want to fight my anxiety even more, which will only make it worse 😢

I think there should be a trigger warning for this video, especially for those people with health anxiety!
Unfortunately not everyone is able to receive CBT, the NHS is stretched to the limits & private is far too expensive for most people.
While your videos are good, most people need follow up appointments to check they are doing the therapy correctly & are benefitting from it.
To tell highly anxious people that without CBT they are likely to get heart disease really isn't helpful. This is just my opinion by the way.

Thats a fair comment. I wanted to get across that reducing reassurance seeking is not just important for your mental health but also physical health but I appreciate that this information can trigger anxiety so I have added a trigger warning to the thumbnail. Everyone is at a different stage in their anxiety recovery. Hopefully the trigger warning will mean just those who feel ready watch it but those who are not ready will avoid it.

Yeah I’m not watching this one, thanks for the heads up. I’ve been worrying about so much health anxiety recently and over the past few years that I will see myself off over it. Dont want that confirming. I think even reading the comments have had more than an effect of me worrying about it. Claire weeks does a good job in trying to say no matter how much you worry you’ll be ok
