Good flat, but not a great location at this price. It's near the BDD chawls/worli naka and lower parel areas which has loads of SRAs, chawls and MHADA buildings with not so good gentry.
Good point. But the current gentrification of Mumbai and especially of Worli and Lower Parel will ensure that there will be newer and newer buildings replacing the old ones soon enough. As they say - the old giveth way to the new!
Redevelopment will solve the issues over a period of time.
@@deepthivarghese8354 it doesn't solve anything. It only increases the population density in the areas. As the old slumdwellers will continue to live there, in the newly given vertical slums with old habits. And new sky scrapers juxtaposing them with even more people.
The population density will continue to grow as Mumbai is probably the densest city in the world in terms of number of people per sq km. The slum pockets will give way to redeveloped living units which will house people with lesser means. These people are also required in every city which include the vast service industry comprising of drivers, maids, cooks, shopkeepers and the many many other people required to keep the city's infrastructure running. A city cannot have only luxury towers without having housing for the blue collar workers without which a city would come to a standstill and life for the moneyed classes would become unbearable!
@@GuptaandSen true, but the corruption in government has resulted the city going to the dogs. Although, blue collared workers are required, there is no need to allow the illegal slums everywhere and then make them legal just for vote banks and more so, to favour the builder lobby as in this case the land gets available for free which is the most expensive component in the real estate industry. This is because most of the politicians are builders themselves or get kickbacks from top builders. Just imagine paying the price of a world class city like london or dubai and the infrastructure and neighbourhood that looks like a war torn country. The people of lesser means should be provided with adequate legal susidized housing, 30 to 40 kms away with good infra where they travel, work and go home just like it is in most posh neighborhoods around the world.
