Hi, I'm really sorry for skipping over that in the video. That error is referring to C libraries that are required for this program to run. Just go to the link your calculator gives you ( tiny.cc/clibs ) and download and send over the clibs.8xg file to your calculator.
Everything works great on mine! The only problem is after I exited the program and clicked on graph, the graph shows some kind of weird color glitch. Is there a way to fix this problem?
What OS are you using? (Windows 10, Windows 11, Mac) Did you extract the program from the .Zip file before you ran it? Is the image a png file? Can you try manually resizing it to 320x240 and trying again? When you click the 'show converted images' button does it have a folder with your image name, or is there a long list of files, or nothing?
It didnt work for me it kept saying Lib needed and some thing but when i updated the software to OS 5.7 it refused to open the program, it was showing a "error; invalid" message. Help
Updating was your first mistake. TI blocked assembly programming on OS 5.5.1 and above. You can fix it by jailbreaking m.ruclips.net/video/abB0ZEdQ1rs/видео.html As for the libload error, just follow the link it gives you and send the files to your calculator.
I tried this, but when I put my picture through the converter, it doesn’t come out as the .8xv files but just as left.png and right.png without the right dimensions either. How do I fix this? Please help. Edit: nevermind I fixed it. It works great 👍 I just had to watch the video at 0.5 speed 😂

All versions are on the github repository. You can find the latest release here github.com/TheLastMillennial/HD-Picture-Viewer/releases/tag/v1.0.2 You just send the new file the same way as the old one. Just make sure you click 'replace existing content' when the option appears in TI-Connect CE.
when I transfer the pictures to my calculator something weird happens when I open the program. the pupper picture's name changes to the name of the picture i transfered, but it's surrounded by these weird symbols. then when i open the picture it shows the pupper instead of the picture i transfered(not that i mind since it's a nice pupper). my calculator has OS 5.4.0 am using a windows laptop
Ok if you used the converter then it's probably not your fault. Exactly what was the name of the image? Maybe there was a special character the calculator can't handle.
I can only upload 2 pictures, how can I upload multiple pictures? The pictures I uploaded after the 2nd picture keep replacing the last picture's name, how can I fix it and upload more than 2 pictures ?
This works great on most images, but when I tried to use a pic taken from my phone camera it didn't work: if there weren't any other pictures on the calculator it would just say I didn't upload any, and if there are, the names will be kinda corrupted and it will only show the ones I had before. I have a Redmi Note 10 pro, and I don't know what is it about my camera settings that made it not work( colour scheme or smth?). I tried with a picture I had in my phone, but taken on an IOS and it worked fine. Is there something we have to look out for when uploading pictures or is it just a bug?
The program should work with any png file. So the converter output three files but when you send the files they don't show up on the calculator? Is the original image file name at least 8 characters? Could you please send me files that are broken?
when i try to open the HD Picture Converter Ce.exe this pops up "You can’t open the application “HD Picture Converter CE.exe” because Microsoft Windows applications are not supported on macOS." pls help
Hi, I tried everything but when it comes to the covert picture process, unlike you, the program only convert my left side of the picture so there is no file for me. Can you help me out?
hey, i have a question could this be updated to support to not only read the archive, but also read the USB drive plugged into the calculator? I'm trying to put more images on the calculator but there isn't enough storage.
Hi! I followed all the steps yet it wasn't able to read the files I put on the calculator. I'm assuming it started getting wonky around the actual conversion as I have the pixels, and file type correct, but after I convert it, it doesnt become a .8xv file, it becomes a 'example.pngR' file. This, of course alongside its L and P counterpart. Any solution in how to turn it into a .8xv in order to let the program actually read the image?
After using your most recent version, the one with zoom and much significant file sizes, I keep getting a RAM RESET when i move pass the next image, any way to fix this?
Be sure you're only sending the files to the Archive memory of the calculator. You'll need to delete or archive any picture files that are currently stored in RAM.
I am miffed. I tried this, but when I put my picture through the converter, it doesn’t come out as the .8xv files but just as left.png and right.png without the right dimensions either. How do I fix this? Please help. And did watch at 0.5x speed. This is for my math test.
Is your photo a png? Have you tried manually resizing the image to 320x240 then running it through the converter? You are on Windows right? Does the converter display any errors?
@Thelastmillenial My TI-84 Plus CE-T has version 5.1.5 so I need to update because the video says it has to be higher than 5.3. The latest version is now 5.8, if I update to 5.8, will this still work? Or will I need to jailbreak the calculator in that case? (I also want to put able to put notes on the calculator with a notes program.) I can't downgrade once I've installed the version 5.8 so that's why I'm asking, thank you.
Install OS 5.3.0 since it has all the important features of the newer versions but without the restrictions. I've been using it since 2017 without issue. You can get it from TI-Planet: tiplanet.org/forum/archives_voir.php?id=1138254
So everything was working until I added one more image and now I go to open the program and I get a memory error. I only have 6 or so images uploaded and I tried deleting a couple and it still gives the error. Any solutions?
@@Naomi-xu4hq That's extremely low. Press [2nd]>[+]>[2]>[7] and press [enter] to Archive some programs. The * means the program is archived, otherwise it's in the RAM. You should have over 130,000 bytes of RAM once everything is Archived.
That's not possible. You'll have to use TI's low resolution images for graphing. Just drag and drop any image onto the calculator's name in TI-Connect CE.
This does not work for Ti-84 Plus CE Python either. Also, when using your image converter, both manually and using your converters, the x8c files do not appear. I am using Windows 11 Home edition. My calculator has both a python program section, as well as ti basic. I checked the ti basic section, and the program was there. Pressed Enter twice, did not start...
Did you get Error: Invalid on your calculator? If so, you just need to jailbreak it with Artifice. The converter is suppose to output .8xv files in a new folder. Does the converter display any errors?

Hey, u/thefinalmillennial, I was the person who asked how to downgrade OS's, my calculator OS is 5.4.0 (i realize this now), can I jailbreak it with NDless?
I'm sorry, I don't remember which calculator you had. Ndless only works on Nspire calculators with OS 4.5.0 or below. It will not work on a TI-84 Plus CE.
When I tried to convert multiple images, it came up as the same file. I put it into my calculator and it only displayed 1 random image for all of the images that I converted.
That's odd. Are you sure all the images you were trying to convert were PNG files? Are you on Windows, Mac, or Linux? Can you try the first release on Github rather than the latest?
This worked really well for me, however there is this one image I am trying to delete but it won't let me. I deleted all the files that goes with it but for some reason the program still detects it. I looked all over my calculator but it thinks those files have been deleted. I even tried uninstalling it and re-installing the whole thing but the image is still there. Idk where it is being stored or how to get rid of it please help.
That's strange, I should add a way to delete the files from within the program... Until then, you can probably find the files if you connect your calculator to TI Connect CE then go to the calculator explorer and sort the files according to their size. The images should be among the biggest files on the calculator. Check what they're named then delete the left and right images, the palette is much smaller so just scroll down the files list until you see a file with a similar name to the ones you just deleted.
Unfortunately, I've never used Wine before, I only know it can run Windows software on Mac and Linux. Your best bet is to look up a tutorial on how to run a .exe on Mac using Wine.
That's really odd. Are you using the latest version of Windows? Did you try restarting your computer? Does this happen to every image you try to convert or only a specific one?
I'm using windows 10, I just try whit one picture so far, I will try restart the computer and another pic. By the way , it's possible to read pdf files in ti 84 ce t phython edition?
Can you upload one of the images somewhere and share a link with me? I'll see if I can reproduce your issue and check if the problem is a bug my program didn't catch.
If you keep the image in the archive memory (which is the default location) then yes, it will survive a RAM reset. If you do a full Memory Reset then everything will be deleted including the pictures.
This is a known issue but unfortunately I haven't got the time to resolve it. I'm working on a rewrite anyways. I believe the previous release on Github doesn't have this issue.
What is the entire error you're getting? Looks like window_convpng.exe isn't at the correct directory. The program will tell you in the error what directory it should be at.
Hey boss, we're doing a small gmod-related project for the TI-84 Plus CE and we're having trouble loading images. My friend and I are pretty new to calculators but we wanna work with image loading. If you can get in touch with us that would be sweet, any way of reaching you?
Sorry I was a bit busy today, I should be more responsive in the coming days. Exactly what issue are you encountering? Have you tried both releases on the Github page? Do you have a project page for your gmod project?

Do you have your computer configured to show file extensions? Can you still send the files to your calculator? What OS are you using? Does the converter throw any errors?
Are you dragging the .8xv files it converted? What if you try sending the files by clicking on the 'send to calculator' icon in TI Connect CE. It should look like a calculator with an arrow pointing into it. What error do you get?
It is not letting me convert the image and is giving me this “Error! code: 57 Make sure you have windows_convpng.exe at the following directory: C:\Users\germa\AppData\Local\Temp\Temp2_HDPictureViewer.zip\HDpicConverter\”
And then when I’m on my Mac it says I don’t have a windows program configured to open this type of file. Mac- I have the pictures converted but can’t drag and drop onto TI Connect App Windows- Can’t convert photos because of the error above
I'm a bit confused, when you're on mac, you *can* or you *cannot* run converter? Did you try using Wine? What file types are you dragging onto the TI Connect CE app? As for your Windows issue, your issue could be 1. you didn't extract the files first, or 2. you're not using the extracted files, or 3. windows_convpng.exe somehow got deleted (re-download it and put it at that exact file directory the error gave you)
My tool was designed only for the TI 84 Plus CE however, there's a different program that will work on your calculator. You can find it on TIplanet.org here: tiplanet.org/forum/archives_voir.php?id=15365
I don't think it's worth it. Unless you have a TI 83 premium CE Edition Python or a TI-84 Plus CE revision M or newer, then you should downgrade to OS 5.3.0. All OS 5.4 change from 5.3.0 is the ability to see if a program is written in BASIC or Python. However it also removes the Asm84CEPrgm token, (which is useful for enabling lowercase letters and other functions) and makes other functions slower. If you want, you can watch my video about downgrading here: ruclips.net/video/dGq-nsNOhuc/видео.html
Oh no, that's a bug I didn't catch! I'll fix that as soon as I can, for now you can try the 1.0.0 release (It works as long as you only run it from the home screen). Thanks for reporting it!
Uhh, could you please provide some more information? What do you mean it overlaps your whole picture? Can you provide an image of what it looks like? Did you use the converter application or did you manually convert the image?
And now by Some Reason i can’t upload pictures anymore, it says that it’s been done but there is No new photo on the calculator. What Should I do? I have an exam in 2 days can you pleas help me? :(
Yes, please share a picture! (Google drive, imgur, Dropbox, etc all work for me) I really don't understand what you're doing incorrectly. Try watching the tutorial again and tell me the exact spot where things go wrong. Side note: you really shouldn't be banking on this program to cheat you through exams. You may get away with it but you won't have understood the material and that is *really* going to bite you later. I know from experience that meeting with your teacher and attending tutoring can really help you improve your grade and understand the content at the same time. ;-)
When I convert multiple images at once, I only get one picture, and if i download them one by one, they replace each other because they have the same name. I tried 2 versions if the program and they have the same problem
Yes, you just delete the same 3 files you sent to your calculator (press [2nd]>[+]>[2]>[1] and press [del] on files you want to delete). The files will have a similar name to what's shown in the program.
when i try the converter it says - - - Groupe gffx (ICE) - - - Using defined palette image_palette.png . . . 2: and then it just closes and it doesnt make a file

Hi, I'm really sorry for skipping over that in the video. That error is referring to C libraries that are required for this program to run. Just go to the link your calculator gives you ( tiny.cc/clibs ) and download and send over the clibs.8xg file to your calculator.
Ty
Everything works great on mine! The only problem is after I exited the program and clicked on graph, the graph shows some kind of weird color glitch. Is there a way to fix this problem?
If you press [2nd]>[prgm] then select clrDraw then it should clear the glitch. I don't know if I can fix the underlying problem but I'll look into it.
Ok everything worked out well. Thank you.
When I try to convert my photos, the program runs and converts the images, but they're not showing up in the file. What should I do?
I'm also not getting a log file either.
What OS are you using? (Windows 10, Windows 11, Mac)
Did you extract the program from the .Zip file before you ran it? Is the image a png file? Can you try manually resizing it to 320x240 and trying again? When you click the 'show converted images' button does it have a folder with your image name, or is there a long list of files, or nothing?
@@TheLastMillennial when i do it it has a long list of files what should i do?
It didnt work for me it kept saying Lib needed and some thing but when i updated the software to OS 5.7 it refused to open the program, it was showing a "error; invalid" message. Help
Updating was your first mistake. TI blocked assembly programming on OS 5.5.1 and above. You can fix it by jailbreaking m.ruclips.net/video/abB0ZEdQ1rs/видео.html
As for the libload error, just follow the link it gives you and send the files to your calculator.
I tried this, but when I put my picture through the converter, it doesn’t come out as the .8xv files but just as left.png and right.png without the right dimensions either. How do I fix this? Please help.

You just send the new file the same way as the old one. Just make sure you click 'replace existing content' when the option appears in TI-Connect CE.

Did you use the included converter or did you convert the image manually?
I did use the included converter, but maybe I did something wrong with that?
Ok if you used the converter then it's probably not your fault. Exactly what was the name of the image? Maybe there was a special character the calculator can't handle.
@@TheLastMillennial umm the first one I tried was called juh and the second one was jeh
Hmm my program should have been able to handle that. Try giving them a longer name that's at least 8 characters.

You'll need to look up a tutorial on how to use Wine. I don't work with Mac so I can't help beyond that unfortunately.
Hi, I tried everything but when it comes to the covert picture process, unlike you, the program only convert my left side of the picture so there is no file for me. Can you help me out?
Is the picture exactly 320x240 pixel large? Have you tried the manual conversion method?
Nevermind man, I forgot to change from percentage to pixelate. Thanks for this amazing tool though!
hey, i have a question
could this be updated to support to not only read the archive, but also read the USB drive plugged into the calculator?
I'm trying to put more images on the calculator but there isn't enough storage.
Not easily, unfortunately. You can use Cesium to transfer different files to and from a USB drive manually.
Nevermind! The issue was fixed. The file name was just too short so I put 8 random characters instead and it worked perfectly. Thanks!

@Thelastmillenial My TI-84 Plus CE-T has version 5.1.5 so I need to update because the video says it has to be higher than 5.3. (I also want to put able to put notes on the calculator with a notes program.) I can't downgrade once I've installed the version 5.8 so that's why I'm asking, thank you.

What do you mean? Could you only convert one image? Could you only send over one image? Can you display the image? What error are you getting?
When I tried to convert multiple images, it came up as the same file. I put it into my calculator and it only displayed 1 random image for all of the images that I converted.
That's odd. Are you sure all the images you were trying to convert were PNG files? Are you on Windows, Mac, or Linux? Can you try the first release on Github rather than the latest?
I am only able to get 6 images on my calculator even though i uploaded more. Is there a solution?
Are you sure the files actually sent to the calculator? You should be able to scroll down to see all the images
I just got a great idea. Would you be able to make it into a gif player using the HD frames?!
Eventually. ;)

Are you dragging the .8xv files it converted? What if you try sending the files by clicking on the 'send to calculator' icon in TI Connect CE. It should look like a calculator with an arrow pointing into it. What error do you get?
It is not letting me convert the image and is giving me this

Windows- Can’t convert photos because of the error above
I'm a bit confused, when you're on mac, you *can* or you *cannot* run converter? Did you try using Wine? What file types are you dragging onto the TI Connect CE app? As for your Windows issue, your issue could be 1. you didn't extract the files first, or 2. you're not using the extracted files, or 3. windows_convpng.exe somehow got deleted (re-download it and put it at that exact file directory the error gave you)

Is OS 5.4 worth it?
I don't think it's worth it. Unless you have a TI 83 premium CE Edition Python or a TI-84 Plus CE revision M or newer, then you should downgrade to OS 5.3.0. All OS 5.4 change from 5.3.0 is the ability to see if a program is written in BASIC or Python. However it also removes the Asm84CEPrgm token, (which is useful for enabling lowercase letters and other functions) and makes other functions slower. If you want, you can watch my video about downgrading here: ruclips.net/video/dGq-nsNOhuc/видео.html
