If you go into the memory management menu ([2nd] + [+]), then select option 7 (Reset), you should see an option to reset the RAM, reset the Archive, or reset all. You're probably looking to reset all. Hope that helps :)
Yeah! The emulator is simply a program that can be ran on the calculator, similar to an app on a PC or phone, so once you exit it (with the [on] key) you'll be back to the normal calculator :)
When sending a file in TI-Connect, you should see an option saying either "Archive" or "RAM" for each file. You can then select "Archive". If the file is already on your calculator, you can go into the memory management menu with [2nd] + [enter], then select "Mem Management/Delete", "All" and you should see a list of all your files. Files with an asterisk "*" next to them are in the archive. Pressing [enter] will toggle whether the file the cursor is currently selecting is in the Archive or RAM.
Hey I’m having a bit of a problem everything else is working good and I got to play a bit of Pokémon crystal on their but now when I try to open up any rom on TI Boyce it keeps saying I need over 4000 bites of rom of free space even though I’ve looked and I can’t find out what’s taking up all the space I deleted and redownloaded everything but it’s still not working
If you've still got all the AppVars for Pokemon Crystal you probably don't have enough space for other games as well, especially since Crystal is one of the larger ROs. If you want to get different games you'll probably need to delete Pokemon Crystal.

@@TInyHackerCalcs Wow I am so sorry I just noticed that they were gameboy advanced files, thank you so much for the help this guide was amazing, and sorry again.

3. The calculator reads OUT until something appears in it, then removes the data inside both files.
However, i was curious what your thoughts would be. Thanks
Hmm, sounds like an interesting project! The USB libraries for the C toolchain would probably be the best place to get started: ce-programming.github.io/toolchain/libraries/usbdrvce.html
@TInyHackerCalcs thank you very much, I'll try that
Are there any programs for calculus I tired to get the ultimate calculus collection but it did not work?
In what way did it not work?
@@TInyHackerCalcs it said that the program was not meant for the ti84 plus ce
@@Jacob-ji8jg It was probably for an older calculator. You can look here for ones for the TI-84 Plus CE: www.ticalc.org/pub/84pluscse/basic/math/
Thanks it worked perfectly! Is there a way to save storage in all of this? I'm only able to fit a single game with the limited storage there is even after deleting all the languages
Sadly, there isn't really any way to save space besides what you've already done. The games are just really big 😕
@@TInyHackerCalcs That's too bad. Thanks for responding tho
everytime i try to run cesium, tiboy, or artifate it just says error invalid anyboy know a fix?
Same With me
You need to run the programs through arTIfiCE. To open arTIfiCE, you enter the Cabri Jr. app and open it through there.
do I have to reinstall a newer version of ti boy ce?
Yes, you need to install the latest version.
ok
Does this work on TI-84 plus c silver?
There is a Gameboy emulator for the TI-84 Plus CSE, but you'll need to follow a different tutorial. The name of the emulator is TI-Boy CSE.
Hey I have the rom download and the file ends In .gb however the rom converter says it’s not valid?
What's the specific game you're trying to convert?
@TInyHackerCalcsI got it figured out
My brother helped me :3
Thank you for the awesome tutorial tho !!
@@mariuwu9812 Sweet, glad you got it working!
but how can i play games, how can i get the ROM files
help mine says invalid appvar PMCR22
Try deleting the appvars on your calculator that begin with "PMCR" and re-convert and send the ROM again.
is it supposed to come with roms cause i dont know where to download them
1 yr later so idk if you still need this but you can just google whichever it is you want
Do you have Casio CG50?
No, but there's an emulator for GB/GBC games called prizoop and you can probably find a tutorial for using it somewhere.
@@TInyHackerCalcs I know, and I have casio. And for nes there is nesizm. I've ordered ti 89 titanium and so I started to wonder TI. They are much restricted, unfortunately
@@TInyHackerCalcs oh no, they have scammed me for $80. EBay seller sent me repacked used calculator in awful condition, while in the advertisment he said it is brand new in damaged blister. It even doesn't work. Really bad experience on ti market 💔
does this work with non gameboy games????
Sorry, I'm not 100% sure what you mean. The emulator only works for Game Boy and Game Boy Color games. (Not DS, GBA, Switch, etc.)
does this also work on a TI-84 plus? or does it have to be a Ti-84 plus ce
If you want to do it on the TI-84 Plus, you'll need to follow a different tutorial and use TI-Boy SE instead of CE: www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/419/41990.html
can you give us some links we can find those games?
I have a question I can't put the TIBoyCE files in my calculator, is it because I have a python edition?
No, it should work on a Python edition. What is the error you're getting? Is it a TI-Connect CE error?
@@TInyHackerCalcs I wasnt able to drag them into the calculator, but the problem was that I forgot to extract the zip file. I got it working now and thanks for the video
@@ludodude1236 Ah okay, that makes sense. Glad you figured it out, have fun :)
Thank u so much !
thanks!
Mine is says
ERROR: ARCHIVED
Unarchive the variable before use.
2nd Mem; Memory Management
I tried manually unarchiving TIBoyCE and all other files but nothing worked
After I unarchive TIBoyCE I get a syntax error instead of archived
What OS version are you on? You can try upgrading to OS 5.3.0, which you can download here: ti-pla.net/a1138252
Be sure not to upgrade above that though! Let me know if it works :)
@@TInyHackerCalcs I was on 1.15 and that was the problem thank you!
@@cdhp1 Glad it worked for you!
is it normal for your ti 84 to slow down after installing these apps and roms?
what if it says files invalid
You need to use arTIfiCE.
i did
@@SackofJaweaAre you running the program through arTIfiCE or through the OS program menu?
i went to cabri junor then opened arTIfiCE@@TInyHackerCalcs
when i opened arTIfiCE it says no asm programs found!
doing this bricked my calculator and now its stuck on a ram cleared screen
Try holding the reset button on the back of your calculator, that should fix it. Nothing in this tutorial should actually "brick" a calculator (rendering it completely useless is pretty difficult even if you're trying to) but a RAM clear is always possible I suppose.
Why does it say ARCHIVE FULL?
Probably your archive is full. You could try deleting some files or apps you don't use to free up space!
@@TInyHackerCalcs I got my TI-84 Plus CE 10 min ago out of box what could i even delete? Your fast at responding btw 😂
@@lastsurvivor898 TI-OS comes with a lot of default apps that you might not use and take a lot of space which you could delete for now. It could be also you're trying to send too many games, sadly the game boy ROMs are really big for the calculator so you can only fit one or two on it at once. Also yeah I do my best to respond fast at least if I'm around or awake lol 😆
@@TInyHackerCalcs Just looked it was my ROM size the one game was just too big
@@TInyHackerCalcs Thanks for the help!!!!!
It can still be used as a normal calculator right
Yes
My calculator completely froze and wouldn't let me turn it off after my computer told me I couldn't transfer cesium and asmhook to it
Could you tell me your calculator model and OS version? If it's a CE you can try pressing the small reset button on the back, otherwise try removing the batteries.
@@TInyHackerCalcs 5.8 I’ll do that when I try again later thanks
@@TInyHackerCalcs nvm im dumb i had to unzip thank you for the w tutorial
@@OminousVoidV2Glad you got it to work!
what do i do if center and hexaedit arent there when i run artifice for the first time
That's fine, those are just programs I have on my calculator.
ty great vid :)
