Fun fact: gameboy nintendo hand held was actually inspired by a calculator i read it somewhere that gunpei yokoi was on his way home when he saw 2 students playing with calculator so he came up with an idea on how to make a portable gaming device

@The Hype He is talking about the fact those calcs have only megabytes on memory. I have an old TI 84 Plus (the one with 8 bit cpu and monochrome screen) and it has 480 kb of memory. There is a GB emulator for it, but the Pokemon Red ROM is bigger than the whole flash memory

Fun fact: The calculator is actually based on the game boy. John Calculator was at an interview with sega of America and asked the Miamoto how they made the Gameboy work. He said and I quote, "Uhh, I thought about the natives on south America and their abacases, and how it could do MATH. So I made a device to do the math in 3-D!!!!," (Miyamoto 23).
