It’s nice to see black yarn worked with beautiful colors. I know black yarn is hard to see. But, I think this pattern and colors are perfect. Good job. Thank you for stepping out of the box. ⭐️
This is my favorite blanket pattern. I made it to fit the top of my queen size bed. I used black and bright self striping yarn. This looks amazing and is so simple. Thank you.
The colors you’ve chosen are absolutely gorgeous! I love working a pattern that carries the yarn up the side so there are fewer tails to weave in. I don’t really mind the weaving in, but I feel that the project is more secure with less knots joined.
a super simple and effective colour stitch. I’m using it for a flat rectangle that will be folded in half and stitched together to create a doll’s beanie. Love this
Love it love it love it!! The stitch and the contrast of the colors, it’s absolutely beautiful 🤩❤🤩 and another plus is that by alternating the colors every two rows, you can save time in weaving the yarn. Any suggestions for a simple border? 🤔
This is absolutely gorgeous!!😱😍 Any chance you could please do a tutorial of this design but starting from the inside out if it will work out please..?
@@BlossomCrochet I’m so so sorry it’s taken me so long to reply, life is very busy and messy right now.. Yes!! Exactly like that!🥰 as I don’t well with keeping track of multiples and with how big I want to do a blanket of this design, I would definitely lose track very very quickly..🤣 Thank you so so very much for getting back to me so quickly and with a link too!🥰 Honestly absolutely amazing you are!💕
@@angelwilliams6891 It’s no problem at all! I’m so glad that the link is helpful… and I totally get what you mean about looooong foundation chains! 🌸☺️
Love it! Did you actually make a whole blanket with the Ice and black yarn? What were the dimensions, and how many balls of Ice did you use? Thank you!
Just started a baby blanket using your tutorial and love the way it is working. I found it best for my tension to use a size larger hook for the chain and foundation row. Any suggestions as to a suitable border for this please?
Thank you! 🌈 oh wow, I think any border would look amazing on this but I’m thinking I might go for Moss Stitch and alternating between the two colours, I think that’ll look so eye catching! 🥰
Beautiful and thank you for sharing your videos. could you please tell us how much Garn would you use for a good size blanket, hopeless at working this out, would like to get the same color so I don’t run out Half way through
Beautiful color choice. Did you use Ice Yarn? Edges seem nice & straight, so I wouldn’t mind weaving tails. But if yarn is carried, what sort of border would you suggest? Thank you for sharing. Lynn in California
I’d work a round of U.K. double crochet all around and then you can build any border you like on top of that 🌈 I’m think I may do moss stitch - alternating between the two colours ☺️
The top and bottom? I finish on a row of traditional granny stitches and then add a row of U.K. double crochets - that way the top and bottom are pretty much the same 🌈
Hi! Love the colours you showed in the beginning! 😍 However, it is hard to follow you because you aren’t showing where you are crocheting into one of the stitch. And you didn’t say the additional chains after doing the multiples of 3. I gave up on this and found someone else on RUclips who has done the same pattern.
Adding three additional chains isn’t necessary when working this stitch pattern which is why I didn’t do that in my tutorial 🌸 Sorry to hear you couldn’t follow along!

Thank you Lisa! Black is terrible for filming but the finished result is so worth it 🌈🖤
Múltiples of 3 plus 1.
Stunning colors against the black color👏👏👏beautiful results.
💖Wow!!!💖
Your colors AND the placement of them is awesome!!!
I love that you keep the yarn tails to a minimum too!
Thank you Anna! I love being able to carry the yarn up the side! 🌸🌈
I love how that makes the colors pop, gorgeous stitch. Thanks.
I totally agree! Thank you so much Debra! 🌈❤️

I love the colors and stitch. Ghe black yarn is it the same as Ice Picasso rainbow . ??
Love it! Did you actually make a whole blanket with the Ice and black yarn? What were the dimensions, and how many balls of Ice did you use? Thank you!
Absolutely gorgeous! What is the stitch you use at the beginning of each row, please?
I’m not sure if it has a ‘proper’ name, I’ll have to try and find out! ☺️
Just started a baby blanket using your tutorial and love the way it is working. I found it best for my tension to use a size larger hook for the chain and foundation row. Any suggestions as to a suitable border for this please?
This is gorgeous! I love these colours. Is there some way it could be turned into a shawl?
Yes, definitely! It could make a rectangular or triangle shawl using these stitches 🌈
@@BlossomCrochet I would love a triangular one. I could do a rectangular one from your instructions but don’t know how to turn it into a triangle.
Love the colors! What kind of yarn did you use for the pastels?
Beautiful Thank you. What kind of border would you recommend?
Thank you! 🌈 oh wow, I think any border would look amazing on this but I’m thinking I might go for Moss Stitch and alternating between the two colours, I think that’ll look so eye catching! 🥰
What kind of yarn did you say you used for the different colored one is? It is very beautiful....
Thank you! It’s Ice Yarn Picasso Rainbow 🌈
What black yarn are you using? I’ve bought the Picasso but my favourite yarn is Scheepjes Chunky Monkey and it’s too thick, I think.
I used a black Aran weight yarn and that seems to pair up nicely with the Ice Yarn 🌈🥰
It is indeed Ice Yarn! 🌸 Any border would work so long as you used a round of UK Doubles (US Singles) first, to cover the yarn being carried. :)
Beautiful… just wondering what kind of edging you do all the way around?
I’d work a round of U.K. double crochet all around and then you can build any border you like on top of that 🌈 I’m think I may do moss stitch - alternating between the two colours ☺️
@@BlossomCrochet great idea… thanks ☺️
Do you have written patterns for these? I find it easier after watching videos to then follow something in writing?
I just have the video tutorials 🌸
Are you chaining one and turning work
Hi Kathy, no, I’m not chaining, I just turn my work and then work that starting stitch straight into that first stitch from the row below 🌈
Would in work in just variegated yarn
Yes absolutely! You can use any yarn that you like - I just liked the bold contrast with these two shades ☺️🌈
What yarn did you use for the colorful crochet?
It’s Ice Yarns Picasso Rainbow 🌈
Can this be done for a granny square?
How many chains did you start with on the blanket that has the black in
It was just a sample piece but I chained 39+1 with my 4.5mm hook ☺️
What's rhe rainbow will you used please??
It is Ice Yarn Picasso Rainbow 🌈 It comes in and out of stock ☺️
How about some left-handed directions
I’ll be popping the left handed tutorial onto the ‘Blossom Crochet Extra’ channel over the coming days ☺️🌈
How do you get the ends to be even
The top and bottom? I finish on a row of traditional granny stitches and then add a row of U.K. double crochets - that way the top and bottom are pretty much the same 🌈
This looks similar to the half spike granny stitch. Not sure though.
